"Chance with a Cougar" is not the sort of story I'd have expected to describe as charming, yet it is, in a Harold and Maude meets Attack of the 30-Foot Bride kind of way. 'Growing Body of Knowledge" and "Coming Clean" accomplish a great deal of entertainment with the same basic template: guy meets nice girl (or already knows), science thing happens, girls start growing, fun times with big ladyfriend, female antagonist grows, torments guy, guy escapes, giantess showdown, happy ending.
If he occasionally overreaches in the scope of his worldbuilding, he can be forgiven for the quality of his prose, and his sincerity.
Also, he's a big fan of Neil Gaiman. Any friend of Gaiman is a friend of mine.
