Summary:

A young man is living under quarantine with his mother, and decides it’s been too long since he’s seen his girlfriend. His overprotective mother doesn’t quite agree with this when she catches him trying to sneak out. When he insists on his freedom, the maternal instinct to keep him safe kicks in, and she decides to put her foot down… literally.

8. Chapter 8: Going Public by Tiny_Significance [Reviews - 3] starstarstarstarstar (1470 words)

Well... This past year didn't quite go as I though that it would... ^^; 

As I stated in the last chapter's end notes, I began writing this story with a clear set of major events and a definitive arc in mind. However, the pandemic didn't seem to want to cooperate with that little plan, so I'm having to rework a LOT of things. 

In hindsight, I could have just written new chapters as the year progressed to keep up with current events, but I guess that in this case, hindsight is (literally) 2020.

(No, I'm not sorry.) 

As before, the good news is that this story will be even longer than I thought when I posted chapter 7! So there's room for lots of action! ;) 

Also, I'm going to be posting even more on this account, not just on this story, so stay tuned for that! In any case, I hope you enjoy this new chapter that I'm finally posting! 

 

With her little man now comfortably settled into his new life, it's time for Mommy to announce it to the whole world!
