Naomi stepped carefully through the tiny streets, taking care not to crush any cars or squish any little people. It was dark and late in the evening as her footsteps boomed throughout the neighborhood. She was careful not to cause any damage that would result in fines. Wrongful death was normally a 50 thousand dollar fine, enough to cover funeral expenses and give the family some cushion, but still, Naomi preferred not to pay out.

However, there was the matter of Mr. Stevens family. He had an older hazard pay contract that stated that there was to be a 20-million-dollar payout to his family in case of his death, accidental or not. After Naomi had smashed him under her heel a couple days ago at his performance review, she had learned what an expensive mistake that was.

‘Why would a contract like that even exist?’ she thought to herself as she watched her step, allowing some children to cross the road before setting her foot down. Naomi was barefoot because her skin was much more forgiving on the tiny pavement than her high heels that would dig craters into the ground with every step. She didn’t want to have to pay for repairs either. Being barefoot also allowed her to feel where she was stepping and had prevented a number of people from getting stepped on and squashed accidently.

The little people did a good job of getting out of her way too. Naomi had been through the tiny districts numerous times, so people were pretty used to getting out of the way for her and any other giantesses that came to visit. At times though, Naomi wished she didn’t have to be so careful. She thought about how nice it would be just to step wherever she wanted, regardless of who or what was below her. But nonetheless, being a giant had its advantages.

A few more steps and she was outside the home of the late Mr. Stevens. She had plugged his address into her phone and followed the GPS to the exact location. It had brought her to a poor neighborhood.

‘Geesh…,’ she thought to herself, ‘you would have thought the little guy would’ve tried a little harder to make some money. No wonder he was living in a dump!’ Oh well, there was nothing Naomi could do about that now.

“Mrs. Stevens?” Naomi asked, “Mrs. Susanne Stevens, are you home?”

About 20 seconds later, a tiny woman emerged from the tiny hovel of a house. The tiny woman saw two giant feet before her, complete with ten menacing toes, each bigger than her. They were attached to impossibly long legs that reached up to the heavens and carried a beautiful woman whose face was slightly obscured by the night sky. The giant woman had her hands on her hips and a sad look on her face.

“Mrs. Stevens, I’m so sorry to tell you this, but there was an accident at work, and Mr. Stevens was killed in the line of duty,” Naomi said, faking sorrow.

The little woman started sobbing. She had wondered why her husband hadn’t come home that night or the night before, but now she knew, and it devastated her.

“How did it happen?” asked the little woman.

“Mrs. Stevens, I don’t think we need to get into the details of that, it will only be more painful for you,” replied Naomi.

“Don’t tell me that!” the tiny woman sharply replied. “Don’t lie to me! It was probably you who killed him! What? You couldn’t just watch where you stepped? You big oaf!”

“Hey!” retorted an irritated Naomi. “He knew what he was getting into when he started working for me! He signed the hazard agreement! He knew what was at stake, okay?” The little woman said nothing, and Naomi continued. “That’s why I’m here, because of the contract he had with us. I’m here to compensate you for it.”

Mrs. Stevens started screaming at Naomi, the tiny woman wasn’t having any of it. She was emotional and Naomi knew that. Naomi was used to people screaming at her about killing their loved ones. But up until recently, it wasn’t something she did all that often.

Naomi’s phone buzzed; she had gotten a text from William.

‘Legal just reviewed the 20-mill contract. Only payable to spouse. No next of kin qualifies, no city payouts either.’ Naomi thought for a moment but had a question. She called William and spoke to him.

“Hey, so I’m here with Mrs. Stevens now,” she said. “Why is the contract set up that way?” This was interesting to Naomi because up until this point, she had been required to pay the money, if not to a payee, then to the government. It was their way to prevent those entitled to fair compensation from being killed, or otherwise disposed of, to prevent a payout.

“I’m here with Barry from legal now, he wasn’t here when it was set up, but he assumes it must have been a negotiating tactic to ensure a 20-million-dollar policy, he kept the government out of it as leverage,” answered William.

“So… Mrs. Stevens?” asked Naomi, eyeing the tiny sobbing angry woman.

“If there is no Mrs. Stevens…” William sighed, “then there is no 20 million dollar pay out. To anybody. Just the standard wrongful death fine.”

He closed his eyes in disbelief from his own actions. He knew what was going to happen to that poor woman now. What if that had been his family? What if that had been Mary? If he had waited 10 more minutes, then Mrs. Susanne Stevens would have had the money and Naomi would have never known any different. But gaining favor with Naomi was more important to William. And he had just scored so many points with his boss by saving her 20 million dollars, so he felt his actions were justified. At least, that’s what he told himself to feel better.

“Thank you, William.” Naomi hung up the phone and put it back in her pocket. She smiled down at the tiny woman at her feet and flexed her toes.

“So, as I was saying,” Naomi said. “Mr. Stevens died. That’s the cold hard truth. But do you want to know why?” she asked, being very vindictive, “It’s because he didn’t hit his sales numbers again. He fell short and so I made the decision to terminate him.” Naomi grinned wickedly. “In fact,” she said raising her foot above the tiny woman and hovering her bare heel over her, “you can probably still see what’s left of him on my heel from where I squashed him like a fuckin’ bug.” She set her foot back down and watched the tiny woman break down sobbing.

Naomi just shook her head. “Too bad,” she said. “Maybe if you were nicer to me, we could have worked something out.” The tiny woman looked up at her, quivering. “It turns out, that due to a technicality, I don’t owe you a dime if you’re dead! Or anybody else, for that matter!” she laughed loudly. “But you know, I did feel kind of bad for killing your husband and all, I might have thought about giving you a little something for your inconvenience. But nah, I think I’ll just squish you instead!” Naomi said with a cruel smile.

“Please, I am so sorry!” the woman pleaded. “I was just emotional. I’ll do anything for you, please just spare me my life.”

“Really?” asked Naomi. “Anything?”

“Yes!” the woman shouted.

“Then kiss my toes,” said Naomi, casually. “Let’s see how much you actually mean that.”

The tiny woman rushed forward and feverishly started kissing Naomi’s second toe. Naomi watched with pleasure as the tiny terrified woman moved down the row of toes on all fours, the whole time sobbing and crying. Naomi, however, was enjoying this immensely. It gave her a tingle of excitement and she loved it when people worshiped her. The woman was now at Naomi’s pinky toe, hugging and kissing it.

“Hey!” Naomi shouted. “My big toe needs attention too.”

The little woman obediently rushed to Naomi’s big toe and kissed it like it was a sacred object. The little woman was hoping so badly that Naomi would be happy with her servitude. Naomi lifted her big toe, raising it off the ground.

“Don’t forget to get underneath,” she smiled at the tiny woman.

Mrs. Stevens didn’t miss a beat and was immediately under the giant toe, kissing it passionately.

‘This is just way too easy,’ thought Naomi, ‘let’s have some fun with her.’

Naomi slowly brought her toe down and Mrs. Stevens scrambled as quickly as she could to get out of the way, but her legs were still trapped under the giant pad of Naomi’s big toe. Her torso was free, leaving her able to flail her arms and look up at the giantess in a panic. Naomi smiled at the tiny woman, then crushed her legs, twisting her toe back and forth, smearing what was left of her legs into the ground. The tiny woman yelped in pain. Naomi simply rolled her eyes and ignored her cries.

“My other foot needs kisses too,” chided Naomi. “If you know what’s good for you.”

Mrs. Stevens desperately crawled over to the gigantic toes, leaving a trail of blood as she did so. When Naomi felt her lips touching her skin, it sent another tingle throughout her body. She couldn’t believe the little woman was still obediently kissing her toes! She thought she would have broken her by now. Watching someone obey her every command was pure bliss, and Naomi didn’t want to end it so soon, but all good things come to an end, she supposed.

“Okay, stop it, Mrs. Stevens,” Naomi commanded.

The tiny woman stopped what she was doing and just kept sobbing, her body was still in shock.

“I suppose you’re not any use to anybody in this condition, huh?” Naomi said. “So, I am just going to put you out of your misery.” The tiny woman started begging for her life, but Naomi rebuked her. “What quality of life would you have? You’re missing your legs, you live in poverty, and your house is a shithole,” retorted Naomi. “I’m really doing you a favor!”

With that sentiment in mind, Naomi swung her foot above the tiny woman and brought her bare heel down on her. The tiny woman was immobilized, completely engulfed by the tan skin of the giantess’ heel. Naomi pushed down slowly, hearing sounds of popping and crunching from the tiny body beneath her. Naomi smiled, not only was this fun for her, but she was saving 20 million dollars in the process. Naomi was thoroughly enjoying herself. It had been such a long time since she stepped on anyone in the cities.

She pressed her heel down just a little harder until she felt the final wet crunch of the poor unfortunate soul that was under her sole. Naomi smiled broadly as she slowly twisted her foot back and forth. Then she just stood there, breathing heavily, calming down from her high. Naomi laughed a little just thinking about the turn of events that just took place. This tiny woman went from getting a lot of money, to becoming a stain under her heel.

“God bless William,” she said under her breath. She would definitely have to do something special for him. It was only his second day on the job and already he was better than any other assistant she’d ever had. Naomi smiled sweetly thinking about what she could do to thank him.

Meanwhile, quite a crowd had gathered around to see the events that took place at Mrs. Stevens house. At first, that irritated Naomi, but then she thought about it some more and started laughing. They must have been horrified, she assumed, and that delighted her.

“Okay guys, get out of the way, unless you want to get squished as well. I can afford to, so don’t push your luck!” Naomi said as she turned to leave. The crowds dispersed quickly as her giant feet started to move. Her left foot lifted off Mrs. Stevens body and everyone saw the paper-thin red stain that was left on the ground.

Naomi never saw it; she didn’t care enough to look down at her victim. She had already forgotten about Mrs. Stevens and started walking back to the edge of the tiny district. She stepped lightly and carefully, so as not to step on any cars or people. After witnessing what had just happened, people moved out of her way much quicker now.

Naomi slowly worked her way out of the tiny districts and got back to the areas designed for giants. She headed back home to relax. She had had a busy day; first she had to teach the legal department a lesson, then she had to take care of a rude payee. Naomi smiled; it was a good thing she met William. Naomi spent the rest of the evening thinking about what she could do for William, to show her appreciation.
