At first she was only slightly taller than the base board, and then if she really stretched, the window sill was reachable. Now, Kyla reflected, she could stand and look out through the bottom of the window.

200 feet…

She was 200 feet in height.

The growth had continued to accelerate.

It seemed so terribly surreal; she didn’t feel 200 feet tall. Mostly due to everything being scaled up to accommodate her and the other Colossi. The smaller peoples, the Halflings, and Minis had also grown. Now they occupied the city center, the oldest part of the colony.

The growth in size was also being accompanied by another kind of growth, a population boom. More people would eventually mean more problems and greater need for regulation but so far the police and courts had done well in enforcing the laws passed by Parliament.

Parliament… Kyla frowned. The people had demanded more representation, and so she had gradually acceded to their will. The original council had been disbanded, elections held, a new constitution written. Little Baroun had been elected Prime Minister and was now running the government day to day. A Mini, running the government, nothing like that would have even been tolerated on Earth.

Moving away from the window, Kyla sat, slumping down into her newest chair built to accommodate her latest size increase. Looking down, she was garbed in her typical white tunic with black pants and boots. All dressed up and nowhere to go…

There was nothing for her to do… She was an Empress without Imperial Power. A symbol of the Empire, nothing more.

Baroun busy running the government…

Parcrya busy running the military…

Amarice busy planning and constructing their manor…

Sienna was busy with the specks.

The tiny people had wished to build a city within the confines of the terrarium, an outpost in a land so much bigger than they were. There were some, 10 million of them, all living life on a table. Both she and Sienna could see the city taking shape, could see the buildings, they just could no longer clearly see the people within it.

She had tried to stay busy… Her workout time had expanded to four hours a day, something to pass the time. Every now and again, Parcrya would ask her advice on starship building, or some other military matter. Nothing major…

“And how has your day been?”

Sienna breezed into their sitting room.

“Good.” Kyla said dejectedly. In the silence which followed, Sienna took the opportunity to plop down square in Kyla’s lap.

“Amarice is so excited to open the main wing of the house. Soon we will have a proper living room, a full dining room, a lovely enclosed arboretum—“

“Wait, we have an enclosed arboretum?”

“Yes.” Sienna smiled up at her. “The trees are mini sized; they will be beautiful I’m told.”

“Oh…”

“We also will gain more bedrooms, a lovely breakfast room, and a new jogging path for you.”

“Very nice.”

Sienna leaded against her much larger wife, frowning as she did so. Kyla’s depressed mood was understandable, she was used to being in charge making decisions, not suited to being restricted to only a ceremonial role.

“Kyla, let’s take some time off.”

Sienna’s statement caused her wife to snort in amusement.

“All I have is time.”

“Honey—“

“What would you like to do?” asked Kyla, cutting Sienna off before she could once again speak about understanding how tough it was to be without purpose after a life spent holding and wielding power.

“I wana go camping.”

Kyla sat up a bit. “Camping? You’re joking.”

“I’m serious, like we used to do long ago when we were first dating.”

“That was to get out of your parents’ house, you never liked camping otherwise.” Kyla got a playful slap on the arm for that remark.

Well, now I want to. Let’s take a short trip, somewhere close, like the moon once reserved for the Minis.

“The one the specks would like to colonize?”

“Yes, they are waiting to see if Parliament approves, seems their planet is getting a bit restrictive.”

Kyla held back another snort of amusement, but just barely. “They are a tiny race, I don’t see how they could possibly fill—“

“There are some, 40 trillion of them.”

“Impossible!”

“Very possible, honey, like our people they were fruitful and multiplied.”

“I’ll say they did, and fast.”

“They live such short lives, while our aging has slowed to a crawl, theirs has remained constant. The only extension they get is by advances in medical science.”

“Poor specks, they really didn’t fare as well as the rest of us.”

“We must continue to protect them.” Sienna was firm.

“I agree, but the matter is out of my hands, Parliament must deal with the issue.”

“I worry Kyla.” Sienna shifted closer, to lay her head against her wife’s shoulder. “I worry that it may be a case of out of sight out of mind with the specks. As they disappear from view, more and more of us will no longer consider them as people. Even now the Parliament seems loathe living up to our commitment to keep the specks safe.”

“How quickly we forget.” Kyla lamented. “Without the specks, founding this colony would have been much tougher.”

“You must say something.” Sienna insisted.

“I am powerless.”

Kyla looked down feeling Sienna poking her in the chest. “You still have much influence, use it.”

“I’ll do what I can.”

“I know you will, you always have.” Sienna hopped off her lap, “Enough politicking lets pack.”

“Now!?”

“Yes, now.”

With a heavily exaggerated groan, Kyla stood. “You hate the outdoors.”

“Not these outdoors,” Teased Sienna.

Parcrya stole a glance over at her love as they walked.

Amarice was standing near her neck, tucked safely behind and holding onto the high collar of her tunic. Parcrya could help but smile a bit seeing the mini listening intently to the sounds of the forest, her head swiveling at the calls of the birds within the canopy above, then downward to the forest floor, wide eyes trying to spot what was making particular rustle in the distant underbrush.

Amarice took no experience for granted; she lived every moment as best she could.

Parcrya found it adorable.

As Parcrya had grown a bit too big for their home, the Empress had asked and Parliament had appropriated monies for the construction of a new home within the land granted to the Empress.

It was a beautiful retreat from the pressures of leading the military, and a respite from the commotion of an ever expanding capital.

Upon entering, Parcrya couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief that the day was done. (She could have sworn she heard Amarice do the same.)

Designing the massive manor house was draining on Amarice, not only did she have to revise and update plans, but also deal with the engineers tasked with building the grand home. Colossi engineers no less, a most stubborn and irascible group of people.

Carefully, Parcrya allowed their Halfling servant to take her black cloak, and then it was upstairs to change… The best moment of the day, was the exchanging of military tunic for comfy shorts and tee.

Silently, she offered her hand and Amarice moved to stand upon it. Ever so gently, Parcrya placed her love by the door to her little home. The home had a wonderfully appointed living room, but much like the Empress and Lady Sienna, both Parcrya and Amarice preferred the sitting room by the master bedroom for daily living.

Dinner was always low key. Tonight’s entrée was already sitting at the little table for two tucked into an alcove. Spicy Shrimp with creamy Polenta sat.

Parcrya suppressed a smile as she sat Amarice down upon the table top, the two of them were much alike, She dressed in a tee and shorts, Amarice in soft cotton pants and tee. Both loved casual living when at home.

Taking a seat, Parcrya flared out her cloth napkin, then placed it neatly into her lap. With learned skill she took a single shrimp from the pot and cut a portion off for Amarice. A dab of sauce, a wee dip of Polenta and her mini love was served. Seeing how much Amarice ate, when compared to herself made Parcrya feel like… what was the word the Empress always used? A glutton, that was it, she consumed far more than the mini.

“So what do you think of my idea?” asked Amarice.

Parcrya quickly took a large bite, so she wouldn’t have to answer immediately. Truthfully, she had thought about it and oddly the idea was both arousing and terrifying…

“Without my help, whatsoever would you do?”

Kyla thought of a few choice responses to Sienna’s snarky question as she alone had put up their tent, but wisely kept her mouth shut

Giving her wife a momentary smirk, Kyla then turned to walk back to the shuttle to grab the food, and their sleeping bags. This was far from roughing it for sure. The shuttle had a full bathroom, a sitting room, a bedroom, even a small kitchen. Yet Sienna wanted to sleep under the stars as she put it, so Kyla had obliged.

Now she knew why Sienna didn’t mind camping in these woods. Everything was on the scale of a mini. The forest surrounding them rose up to Kyla’s knees. Everything in this landscape was Lilliputian, the planet being designed for mini colonization. Good thing they brought food, Kyla didn’t think the tiny wildlife would be very filling.

“Isn’t this planet lovely?” Sienna asked upon her return.

“Haven’t had the time to take in the view, bit busy here.” She knelt, unrolling the sleeping bags in their tent.

“I like the idea we are the only people on this world, the whole planet is ours.” Sienna carefully sat then shifted, her movement knocking down a couple of trees.

“Good thing we have the place to ourselves, what with you breaking everything.” Kyla couldn’t resist, laughing when her words earned a glare from Sienna.

“Guess what!?” said Sienna while rooting through her pack.

“Ummmm…” Kyla appeared to be thinking hard, drawing it out until Sienna stopped rooting and looked up in annoyance.

“I dunno what?”

“Kyla you’re impossible sometimes. I brought stuff to make smores!”

“Smores?”

“Yeah, you know gram crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate.” Sienna shrugged, “Or items which are close enough to it anyway.”

Kyla was about to throw in another sarcastic comment, but the hopeful look on her wife’s face caused her to think better of it. “I can’t remember the last time I had Smores... what a great idea.”

Sienna grinned wide, then just as fast as her smile had appeared it faded.

“We need a fire and I don’t think these little trees will be enough, we’d have to burn a ton of them to even—“

“I knocked down thousands in landing, might as well use them.” Kyla had felt badly in

leveling so much timber. A mistake thinking she was landing far enough away to not cause harm. Sienna smiled again. Standing she began searching for rocks large enough to create a fire pit.

“Amarice… are you sure.”

“Yes.” The mini said succinctly.

Parcrya paused to raise a hand, running fingers though auburn hair. “I just…just worry about your safety. I mean when I climax, there’s no holding back, Should something happen I’d never forgive myself.

“I’ve had them constructed as strong as possible, I’ll be fine.”

Amarice padded over to the smooth metal sphere, stopping to punch in a code.

Parcrya’s eyes widened watching as the sphere opened and Amarice clamored inside.

Now or never… thought Crya as the ball closed.

With supreme gentleness, she lifted the ball, and then gingerly placed it within.

“Oh!”

Parcrya wasn’t expecting such a sudden jolt of pleasure. She’d never experienced anything like this!

Within, Amarice placed her shoulder against the inner surface of the ball, causing it to roll to and fro within her giant love. Even in the sphere, she could tell her actions were having the intended effect. One major drawback was that every time Crya’s hips moved, it was, well, a stomach dropping experience. Still, Amarice pressed on, even though the heat level was steadily rising, and her muscles were becoming fatigued.

“ Baby…I…!”

“Gonna…”

Hearing those words Amarice braced herself.

“Cum!” the moment Crya bellowed out, the top and bottom of the sphere collapsed inward and Amarice was tossed about roughly.

Slowly the storm subsided… Amarice could hear, could feel the labored breaths of her lover.

A sense of satisfaction filled the Mini. She had been within her love and brought her to orgasm.

Amarice held on as the sphere she was in was pulled free. Mere moments after releasing the hatch, she was scooped up and pressed against giant lips.

Kyla tossed another couple of handfuls of trees on the fire, then leaned back again.

“See aren’t you glad we did this?” asked Sienna looking back and upward to see her wife’s face.

“Yeah, I am.” Kyla smiled slightly while looking down at Sienna who was sitting comfortably between her long legs. “It’s nice to be free from it all.”

Sienna snugged up closer, wondering if Kyla would elaborate, deciding it best not to press the matter.

“I’m used to ruling, you know, making decisions…” Kyla continued. “I feel a bit lost now that I don’t have anything to rule.”

Sienna remained silent.

“But… its better that I don’t have unlimited power, better that rule by the many has arrived.”

“Empress…”

Kyla sat bolt upright, looking round.

“What is it?” asked a very confused Sienna.

“Empress, many apologies for interrupting but we must… No! No! Wait!”

A smirk upon dark lips, she had raised her hand, finger about to probe around an ear.

“I’ve got specks in my ear.”

“You have..? Specks in…?” Understanding shone of Sienna’s features. “Good thing we weren’t doing anything, um, well you know.”

“Again many apologies, we felt it best to speak with you right away. Parliament has voted…”

“And?” Kyla asked impatiently.

Sienna was dying to ask what the specks were saying, but she held back.

“They have refused us this planet.”

By Kyla’s look, Sienna knew the news was not good.

“The reason?” Kyla pressed.

“The members believe it would be better used for other types of economic development, their words, Empress.”

“The Parliament has refused to cede this planet.” Kyla said curt so Sienna could understand.

“Empress…” Kyla stiffened a bit hearing Sienna use her title. “Is it not your prerogative to control any territory not yet colonized?”

A most feral smile formed on Kyla’s dark lips. “It is.”

“Then you, not Parliament has the final say on who may visit this world and who may live upon it, until such time as a request to join the Empire is formally submitted.

“What would I do without you?” asked Kyla.

Sienna winked playfully.

The hour was late…

The insistent chirping of her pad woke her…

“This better be good.” Groused Parcya as the lights within Amarice’s little cabin came on.
Picking up the pad, she blinked trying to will her eyes into focusing on the image on the screen.

“Commander, we have received a message… From Earth!”
