Lil's body was shaking. I could feel every bump as she walked outside of the museum.

"Hey." I said, but to no avail. Between the gusts of wind and my miniscule size, it would be virtually impossible for her to hear me. So instead, here I was, wrapped up in her hoodie pocket like a keychain or other small object, practically indetectable. "Lillian... Lillian!"

I sighed. This was hopeless. I looked around, and similarly my surroundings looked equally as hopeless as my situation. It was nearly completely dark, I could only see the thin crevices of light peering through the fabric tunnels of her massive pockets. Y'know, now that I think about it, there was nothing massive at all about her jacket. In fact, I doubt she ever went into a Lane Bryant for her clothing needs. Alas, it was just I who was the size of a Ken doll.

Unable to get her attention but still feeling uncomfortable, I leaned over and gently poked her stomach through the fabric of her sweatshirt. However small my touch was, she must've felt something because she stopped walking for that moment. Suddenly, 5 giant fingers slowly slid their way towards me, stopping just before they reached me.

"You okay in there, Jake?" I heard Lil ask. I slowly nodded, not that it mattered since she couldn't see me. "Would you like to step onto my hand?"

Slowly she unfolded her fingers carefully, giving me time to react as the slim array of finger tips slowly turned over and blossomed into a full size palm that I could sit in. I cautiously propped myself up onto her hand, all too ready for what was to come as she curled her fingers inward to keep me safe. She brought me out into the light and it was almost startling to come out of such deep darkness into the blinding sunlight.

She looked at me for several seconds, her body and hands still trembling a bit. If I could comfort her, I would but I was probably almost as scared as she was, if not, moreso. For some reason, something in the past minutes had caused me to calm down. I was still scared as hell but part of me was at ease with what had happened. I'm not really sure why and I couldn't put my finger on it but riding in Lillian's pockets made me feel safe, and it was her that I was more worried about because she seemed extremely nervous for somebody who had just gained their independence back.

Finally, the giantess spoke again.

"I'm sorry, Jake... I didn't forget about you down there, I promise" Lillian smirked.

I nodded.

"I know, Lil... no biggie... heh" I sighed, turning flush red again. It wasn't even voluntary or a result of anything other than my current feeling of embarassment. I wasn't the tallest guy in my "hey day" but I wasn't a shrimp either. Now... well I was just downright puny and this petite angel was my only hope of staying safe. While I needn't tell her, I guess I really was more nervous than I thought I'd be.

"Jake... I..." Lillian started before going back into one of her cute stammers. Sometimes when girls stammer or fumble with their words, it can be annoying but there was something about the way she spoke, even when she wasn't so sure of herself. "...I'm so sorry, I just... wow... I don't even know what else to say"

"Lillian please..." I said, looking into her giant eyes, as they still appeared wet with tears, a thin shine still coating the surface. "This wasn't your fault, I swear to you. I said I was going to help you and I did... and I'm glad I did and nothing you can say or do will make me change my mind"

"Hmm, nothing...?" she said, a childish smile crossing her face. I looked back at her with a skeptical smirk of my own.

"Um?"

"Not even if I squished you?!" she said, thrusting her other hand high above me. Her smile widened as she pretended to clap the other hand down. My natural reaction was to jump a bit, like the frightened kitten I had become but at the same time, I saw no danger in her ploy. I knew she was just joking around. At least... I hoped she was. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I couldn't resist! I meant no harm, I swear"

"It's okay, it's okay..." I said, forcing a smile as my heartbeat slowly returned to normal.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh..." Lillian said, still out of breath with laughter of her own that she couldn't contain. "...I mean, it was once me down there..."

"Yes... I know..." I said, beginning to frown.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be a ... well... bitch" Lillian said

"No, you're not" I said, refusing to believe that.

"It was kind of a bitch move" Lillian shrugged, with a slight smile on her face "But I promise I'd never hurt you Jake, not even on accident"

"Heh, thanks" I smiled, although remained unsure exactly what she meant by that. Some accidents are pretty damned hard to avoid at times.

"My gosh, this is still so overwhelming" Lillian said. I had to roll my eyes at this. SHE was overwhelmed?! I was the one who was doll-sized. Still, I humored her and listened intently, "...I mean, I'm out of the museum but... where do I go from here? I still don't know anything about myself... I can barely remember how this happened... I have some vague details in my head of where I used to live and..."

"Okay, okay" I said, trying to calm her down, "well, let's start there, let's head back to your place, or whereever you live"

"It's not that simple, Jake" Lillian protested, "I know I live outside the city, down in the rural areas of Valleydale but that's a good several miles from here and I have no transportation, and neither do you"

"Hey, wait, my car!" I exclaimed, suddenly struck with a bolt of inspiration. "You're big enough to drive my car, so..."

I suddenly got a sinking feeling when I felt something in my pocket that I should've realized was already there. My car keys. They shrunk with me. We were as good as screwed. My car was still drivable but not with the world's smallest set of car keys. The only spare set of keys was some several miles away at my parents house and I don't think they'd understand why a strange woman was showing up in my stead. Hell, this whole thing had me so frazzled, I was starting to forget where it was that I lived. Only that it was somewhere in the metropolis just north of Valleydale.

"I'm sorry Jake, what'd you say?" Lillian asked curiously, "something about your car?"

"Never mind..." I frowned.

"Hmmm...." Lillian said, her face suddenly locked into a state of concentration. "Well, my wallet and things are normal sized again, maybe there are some clues in here..."

Lillian set me down on the back of my car as she went into her pockets to fish out her wallet. She slowly unfolded the sleek pink and green wallet and looked inside seemingly dissapointed. She unfolded the inside of her wallet further and gazed at some of the cards inside. She frowned.

"What?" I asked.

"Um... nothing, Jake... it's nothing" Lil sighed, still trying to keep that smile up. As beautiful as she was, it was easy to see how fatigued everything had made her. Her eyes had thickening black waves underneath them and her cheeks appeared to be drooping compared to how she probably looked before all of these horrible things happened to her. Even though I had become smaller, I really felt concerned for her and wished more than anything that I could help her out.

"Lil...what's the matter?" I asked gently.

"I've got nothing" she said, throwing her arms to her sides again as she slid the wallet back into her front pants pocket. "I've got no money, no freakin clue what to do and no way to get anywhere, and worse, I've dragged you into this and you may be stuck that size forever"

Hearing those words really hurt me but I continued to try and calm her down.

"Lil, we don't know that... and... and.. it's okay, we'll figure something out. You seem like a smart girl and..."

"Smart girl, you don't even know me" Lillian chuckled, "You're probably just saying all this nice stuff because I'm big enough to hurt you"

"Wh-What? No" I said

"Mmm-hmmm" Lillian chuckled, slowly wrapping both of her hands around me. I felt as if I was having the blood pressure taken on my entire body as she slowly tightened around my torso, keeping me snugly secure between her two giant... er, regular sized hands. "I bet you if you weren't this little, you wouldn't be this nice to me... in fact wasn't it just you who was teasing me a while ago for being a shorty?"

"C-Can we just move past that?" I chuckled.

"Hmmmm, you'd like that wouldn't you?" the giant Lillian chuckled in her playful tone, "but I'm pretty sure it was you who called me short even before all this... you said I had to 'look up to you'? Look up to everyone?"

"I didn't mean it like that, Lil, I swear" I chuckled nervously.

"You're too funny Jake" Lillian said, her smile widening. It gave me slight comfort to at least see her smiling. It seemed we were both so exhausted and afraid that anything was making us delirious and giddy. "You know I'm just messing with you..."

I nodded, then watched as Lil momentarily took her attention off of me and looked to her immediate right where a strand of errant hair bugged her eye.

"Ugh, so many split ends..." Lillian sighed, tossing some of her hair aside. The thin, straggly hair danced in the wind away from her face but some of it still attracted itself to her soft cheek, as if taken by static electricity. Her hair fell in many different directions on either side of her face as she continued to tease it and comb it with her free hand as I watched with intrigue. "Ugh, I look like a mess, Jake... a disgusting mess"

I shook my head.

"Nah, Lil, you look fine, seriously" I smiled, then noticed as the hairs wafted closer to me. I don't know why but I wanted more than ever to touch her hair as it blew around me. I slowly reached my tiny hand out and stroked her lock of hair. "Do... you mind?"

She smiled.

"You want to touch my hair?" Lillian asked, "Geez, I wish more guys were this affectionate... especially when my hair actually looked good"

"I think it looks beautiful... but if you think it's too ... weird, I'd understand" I said.

"No, no, I never said that" Lillian said with a smile. She then brought me closer to the side of her face. I was mere inches from her 30 foot wide cheeks from which I could still see her wide smile and giant eye gazing down at me as I brushed some of her hair out of the way, gently stroking it with my hands. "You're actually enjoying this, huh?"

"Sort of" I smiled, enjoying the momentary distraction.

"Do you realize how weird this is?" Lillian asked, with a fit of laughter not too far behind, "you're feeling my hair, Jake... you're like a little tiny comb... you realize that? Do you want to be my comb or something? Is that what you're telling me? My gosh, what would your mom say right now?"

I began laughing uncontrollably as the giantess continued on between breaths of her infectious laughter.

"...mom, I got a new job. Doing what? Oh brushing a giant girls hair... the pay sucks but damn, it's kinda fun" Lillian said, doing a terrible impression of a masculine voice but I didn't even care as I lay in her hand and listened to her.

Lillian's face was cute as she laughed. Her eyes closed almost all of the way and her cheeks seemed to raise to incredible levels to compliment that smile of hers.

"Hey..." she said, in a warm voice. "Do you think you'd be able to ride on my shoulder?"

I shrugged as if to tell her "why not"?

"Ok, hold on tight, Jake" Lillian said, and tucked me behind her thick dark hair, not releasing her hand from my body until she was sure that I would stay on her shoulder. I gently hugged her neck to stay still as she started to walk, the rest of my body sitting quite nicely on the gentle curve of her shoulder which acted as a bench for my legs. As she walked, her eyes would momentarily make contact with me and she'd smile, trying her best not to be too distracted looking at me as she walked. I had to admit, this had a very surreal feeling to it, but in a good way. I almost hoped if this was all just a dream that I'd never wake up.

So,needless to say I've decided to continue this story and am thinking of many different directions for it. Don't be surprised if I write future chapters from the point of view of Lillian, just to give this story more depth. I'd love to hear your thoughts comments and even ideas for the future of this story. There's plenty more to come!
