her smell was everywhere in this place. in the darkness, that
scent became stronger. my only freedom from it came from a great
hole above my head where the light poured in, illuminating the
porous, squishy ground, corporate logos and the white tag on the
shoe's tongue that listed her measurements in the US and european
systems.
this was her place for me while she was away. this was her place
for me when she was with me. i could feel it. she owned everything
around me. she owned me. i like to say that she 'possesses' me,
i'll think it and enjoy the delicious shivers that vibrate through

'i was thinking of letting you out today,' she said, looking down

to its normal size, toenails painted the same smiling magenta from
last night.

'guess we don't need to see the doctor anymore, huh?'
'well, you never know' she shrugged, wiggling her little toes.
'whatchu mean?'
'nothing. just that one second i could be fine, then next i'm all
footed up.'

that day was interesting. hailey had the whole day off from work,
so started looking up a lot of random foot-related trivia on the
internet; given what's been happening last couple days, it wasn't
so bad. but i couldn't shake off the feeling that she was up to
something.
'hey, eugene. didja know that over 80% of couples reported having
better orgasms wearing socks than barefoot?'
'really?' i reciprocated. 'how's that?'
'cuz they're feet were warmer!'
'huh'
she's diabolical, i tell you.
'yeah, it's all over the net how there are so many nerves down
there that they can influence our moods, whether they're comfort-
able or uncomfortable, hot, cold'
'you did seem to enjoy yourself yesterday when you were holding

'it was amazing' she said. 'you were so warm, and so small-feeling'
'guess that's behind us now, huh?'
'don't be so su-ure' she teased.
i'll bite. 'why not?'
'i dunno.' she shrugged. 'i've been wondering why the whole thing
happened to me in the first place' she looked at me 'why this hap-
pened to us.'
'whatcha figure?'
'not much. maybe the foot fairy visited me and sprinkled magic
fairy dust on my foot'
'perhaps.'
'but you've been so good to me the last couple days' she told me.
'you know i love you, hailey'
'i love you too, baby. i want to make it up to you.'
'you do?'
'yeah' she said, smiling sweetly at me.
'wanna throw anymore feet trivia my way?'
'meh. only other thing i can think of is that they use up one-fourth
of the bones in our bodies. that's from "we were the mulvany's" when
i had to watch that in health class.'
we had time to cool off after that. i went to the store to pick up
some groceries, came home to find hailey painting her right foot's
toenails to match her left's.
''ello' she called.
'hey'
'y'know, maybe i was wrong about the magenta.' she said, not taking
her eyes off of her toes. 'seems too sweet.'
'i was gonna say actually' i said, laughing. 'when you asked me to
get it, i didn't know whether or not you knew what you'd be getting.'
'it looked more purplish in my head.'
'that'd do it'
'want me to make you something to eat, sweetie?' she asked, brushing
more nail polish along her toenails.
i felt a strain in my groin. what now? just watching her feet is
getting me all hot and bothered again! i know, i know. we've been over
this like five times already. but her foot isn't big anymore. i
thought it was just the sheer size of it that excited me, but now
it looked like it was her feet in general.
'actually, i'm pretty bushed. i think i'll turn in for the night.'
'alrite, don't forget, we're seeing the doctor tomorrow.'
'right, right.'
'come kiss me goodnight, eugene.'
i walked over to the couch where she was, and bent over to kiss her,
but she pushed me down towards the floor.
'kiss my foot goodnight.'
having her foot this close to my face reminded me of how she looked
the other night, when it made up her entire lower body. it excited
me to watch her toes twitch, the little fiends! i gave the ball of
her left foot a decent smooch and she was satisfied.
'thank you, eugene.'
'goodnight, hailey.'
with that i went upstairs.
after loosening the laces, she eased into the shoe such that i would
not be squished by her advancing foot. she always took such care of
me so that we could be together like this forever. her toes touched
my cheeks and rubbed my head gently, inviting me to absorb as much
of their smell as i could. i breathed in deeply.
'wake up, eugene'
i opened my eyes and i thought i was still dreaming. hailey was all
footed up again and she was lying on top of me, looking down at me
between her big and second toes.
'hailey?'
'yeah?' she giggled.
'i thought you were back to normal'
'i'm better than normal, baby.' she said, mushing my head around with
her toes 'i'm - in - total - control!'
'mmmm' i mm'd, my cock perking up under her sole 'you sneaky devil'
'i thought i had your attention all day' she said, pressing down
gingerly on my groin.
'and you were right, girl'
'i wanna try something tonight. pull your pants down'
i pulled my pants down.
'and your underwear'
i pulled off my underwear, and all five inches of me started lolling

she moved her foot forward so that i was just touching the mesh of

i think the socks were doing what she said they would do (if one
were be so inclined, i highly recommend it) but i had at least twenty-
four hours worth of stuff for her; i'm sure she could say the same.
then, we both started laughing; it was a triumph for us: three umphs.
'can you believe-' she panted. 'that now we can do this anytime we
want?'
'i - can't believe it'
she stepped off of me and started shrinking her foot right before
my eyes. i had to pick my head up to see. i blinked and her foot
was back to its normal size.
'could you do that this whole time?'
'yep, most of the time i didn't even know it either.'
'i love you, hailey.'
'oh you would say that after all that!' she laughed, walking over
to the bed where i was lying.
'i love you too, eugene.'
last night before we go in to see the doctor, i'm just glad we
had this all figured out already.
