Summary: [Cruel
Tries Gentle, A Grim Underworld Calls]
Three years
after a strange shrinking phenomenon referred to as The Omen Glow becomes the
new normal, a group of friends find themselves cursed with its mark. Robin
Marrick, the rough tomboy of the group, turns out to be the only one immune. While
her friends are eager to assign her the caretaker role, they have no idea what
urges and fantasies are at play inside the masculine ginger’s head.
Can she
keep her demons a secret? And if not, can she keep them in check?
The struggle
grows harder, as the world descends into further madness, upon the revelation
of what her mark of immunity really means. Invitations which cannot be refused
are being sent out, calling upon all Reapers to either win supernatural powers,
or lose their status as a player, and their size.
Meant to
be read like a series of ongoing comic issues. This is a size story inspired by
TV, Manga and Video Games in the ‘Death Game’ genre. The story builds up from
slow personal tension, into Shonen Anime-styled world building, with a growing
cast of super-powered sadists, some more eager to try and keep their humanity
than others.

Note About Male
and Queer Characters Going Forward:
While this
story mainly resolves around the female character of Robin, and will continue
to have a very femme-leaning focus, for realism purposes, variety in
worldbuilding, and due to the bisexuality of me (the author), giant characters
of all identities will appear in this story from time to time, some even with
secondary plots.
I understand
that these characters might not appeal to everyone who has enjoyed the story so
far, but I hope those less enthused by this news will be able to read past the
parts which do not interest them to extract the story information they need to
continue enjoying the mostly female led chapters.
