A young man fresh out of school named Mortimer found one of the portals which emerged in the Upsizing colony’s part of the giant land, and went exploring. He met one of the upsized women, who told him that she was not a native giantess. She went on to explain the program.
“I only found it through the G.R.O.W.T.H. agency as a university graduate,” said the woman, “So I don’t know if they’d ever do it for someone who’s only just finished high school.”
“I’d rather stay this size, because ... Well having met you I think it would be so nice for a giant lady to kiss me,” said Mortimer.
“That’s nice of you, but I’m already seeing someone,” she said, “We upsized together.”
“Now that I know about it, I can keep looking for someone who’s available,” said Mortimer.
He continued exploring the giant land for days, being fed enough by friendly upsized women, so that he didn’t need to return home for food.
One day he had the most surreal experience.
He saw a stunningly beautiful giant woman walking through a giant clearing in a long pale dress. She had long blond hair, and radiant facial features. She had a nice plus size figure and wore a long elegant dress.
He introduced himself, and she said that her name was Bunny Pipp and sat down.
“How long have you been upsized?” he asked, as she picked him up and held him closer to her face to talk to him.
“Oh I’m not one of the upsized people,” she said, “In fact I’ve known for a while about the people of this colony. I went on a long walk from my neighbouring district, which I’ve been doing for a while now. But I was born here. So I’ve always been this size.”
“I didn’t come here through the people who run the Upsizing program. Instead I discovered a portal and came here at normal size. I didn’t want to be enlarged, so that I’d still be relatively tiny.”
“Why not?” she said, “Your size looks lovely.”
“You look lovely too,” he said, not wanting to miss an opportunity at what might well be the first successful courtship attempt for him at last.
“Thank you, darling,” she said, and pivotted her head, flicking some of her long hair back behind her, and then resuming her normal posture.
“Would you like to go on a date some time?” he asked.
“I’m already seeing someone,” she said, “But you have to ask these things, or you just go around being lonely forever. So good on you for being brave.”
Her full pink lips were right in front of him as she spoke those unfortunate words, and now he would not be able to entertain any further hopes for kissing them.
“Well I guess you’d better not say ‘darling’ anymore,” he said, a little embarrassed and apologetic in his tone.
“I call everyone darling,” she said.
He slowly took in the fact that he had read far too much into her use of the word ‘darling’
