It was the night of Halloween, a day Benjamin had been looking forward to for weeks, ever since he’d finally mustered up the courage to ask Sadie to go trick-or-treating with him. For most guys his age, the idea of trick-or-treating might have seemed childish, but for Benjamin, this wasn’t just about the candy or the costumes. It was about being with Sadie, his classmate, friend, and the girl he had liked for years.

Standing at 5’10, with short black hair, a lean, toned build, and a friendly smile, Ben was pretty popular with his peers. But despite the attention he received, he had always lacked the confidence to express his true feelings to Sadie, unsure if she felt the same way about him. This was different, though. Tonight was his opportunity to break free from his self-doubt and take a chance, and he wasn’t about to let it slip away. As he finished putting on his Doctor Who coat, his costume for the evening, he stood waiting in the living room.

He had been looking forward to this night for a long time, and now that it was here, he could hardly believe it was actually happening. The plan was simple: he and Sadie would spend the evening trick-or-treating and have a fun time chatting and strolling around, and after they'd return home, he would confess his feelings to Sadie, hoping the spirit of Halloween would somehow help him find the right words.

As he anxiously checked the time on his phone, the doorbell rang. His heart leaped in his chest as he sprinted toward the door, knowing exactly who would be standing on the other side. He swung the door open and there she was... Sadie. She stood in the dimly lit hallway, the porch light casting a soft glow on her face. Her long red hair, streaked with auburn highlights, and her freckled cheeks glowed with excitement. Her blue eyes sparkled as she flashed a wide grin, clearly thrilled for the evening ahead.

She was dressed in a black witch's dress that looked both elegant and fun, with a pointy hat perched atop her head, and black sandals to compliment the look. Benjamin’s breath caught in his throat as he took her in. "Wow, you look… amazing," he stammered, feeling his cheeks flush with warmth. Sadie smiled, a soft laugh escaping her lips.

"Thanks, Ben," she replied. "You don’t look so bad yourself! Love the Eleventh Doctor look." She gave him a playful wink, her expression turning mischievous. "But hey, I had a little idea to make tonight even more fun. Something to really make this Halloween one to remember."

Benjamin raised an eyebrow, intrigued and slightly confused. "Really? What’s that?"

With a sly grin, Sadie reached into her handbag and pulled out a small, fluffy white rabbit costume, complete with a hood and little floppy ears. She handed it to Benjamin, who took it cautiously, unsure of what to make of it. The suit was tiny, fit for a little doll perhaps, but certainly not a person. He stared at it, puzzled. "Uh… what's this for?"

Sadie’s grin widened. "For you, of course! You should totally wear it tonight." Her eyes twinkled with mischief as she spoke, leaving Benjamin both amused and bewildered.

Benjamin laughed nervously, holding the tiny costume in his palm. "Yeah... I don’t think this is gonna fit me."

"Don’t worry about that," Sadie replied, still smiling as though she knew something he didn’t. "It’ll fit. Trust me."

There was something in her tone that made Benjamin hesitate. Was this a prank? Was she joking? But before he could ask any more questions, he noticed the costume beginning to shift in his hands. The fabric stretched and expanded, morphing before his eyes until it was large enough to fit his frame. Benjamin's eyes went wide, completely lost for words. He looked up at Sadie, who was now smirking knowingly.

"See?” she said with a smirk. "Told you it would fit."

Benjamin, still completely unsure of what was going on but not wanting to ruin her fun, decided to play along. "Alright, I guess I’ll... go put it on then," he said, shaking his head in disbelief. He stepped back into the hallway and began changing out of his clothes and into the rabbit costume that now fit perfectly, all the while trying to make sense of the strange occurence that had just taken place. "This is so weird..." he muttered.

As soon as he zipped up the suit, something even stranger happened. Benjamin felt a sudden sensation sweep over his body, like a wave of dizziness. He stumbled, feeling his surroundings shift and distort. Before he knew it, everything around him had grown massive... no, he had shrunk! In a matter of seconds, Benjamin found himself standing no more than three inches tall, dwarfed by the now colossal room around him. He looked up in shock to see Sadie approach him, her sandaled feet looking enormous from his new perspective, as she towered far above him with a grin.

"Well little bunny," Sadie said, crouching down to pick him up gently between her fingers, "Are you ready to go trick-or-treating?"

Benjamin stared up at her as she picked him up off the floor, his mind racing. This was impossible. None of this made any sense. Yet, despite his confusion, he didn’t want to ruin the night or his chance with Sadie by upsetting her. "Y-Yeah, I'm ready..." Ben nodded up at her, trying to keep calm. This night was already turning out to be unforgettable, and they hadn’t even left the house yet.

Sadie smiled, pleased with his reaction. "Great! Let's get going then, shall we?" she replied as she placed him on her shoulder and headed out the door, the night just beginning. For Benjamin, Halloween was about to take a wildly unexpected turn, one that would change everything.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Sadie walked through the dimly lit streets, the cool breeze brushing against her face, Benjamin sat perched on her shoulder, still trying to process the bizarre events of the night. He gazed out at the glowing jack-o’-lanterns lining the sidewalks, his mind spinning with confusion. How had he ended up like this, reduced to a three-inch-tall bunny on the shoulder of the girl he’d been crushing on for years? Everything about this Halloween had taken a strange turn, and he wanted to ask Sadie more about it, but wasn’t sure where to start.

"Hey, Sadie..." Benjamin began hesitantly as she strolled toward the next house, her pace calm and carefree. "How... how is any of this possible? I mean, as soon as I put on the suit, it turned me into... well, this. Is this some weird new technology or something?"

Sadie glanced sideways at him, giving him a warm but slightly teasing smile, clearly amused by his confusion. "Don’t worry so much, Ben," she said, her tone light and playful. "Just enjoy yourself, okay? You’re always overthinking things. Trust me, tonight’s going to be fun."

Before Benjamin could press further, they arrived at a nearby house, its porch adorned with spooky decorations like plastic spiders, cobwebs, and a glowing skeleton propped up against the door. Sadie rang the doorbell, and within seconds, the door creaked open, revealing a familiar face. Standing in the doorway was Chloe, one of their mutual classmates and one of Sadie’s closest friends. Chloe's short blonde hair was tousled in her typical casual style, and her face lit up as she recognized her friend.

"Sadie!" Chloe exclaimed with a wide grin. “You look absolutely amazing in that outfit, you could totally pass for a witch!” she said excitedly, as Sadie chuckled at her enthusiasm. Chloe glanced up and down, admiring the details of the outfit before her eyes finally landed on the small, fluffy creature nestled on Sadie’s shoulder. Her brows furrowed for a moment, then a look of surprise and amusement crossed her face.

"Oh my gosh! Is that a bunny?" Chloe asked, her excitement evident as she leaned in for a closer look. "It’s so adorable!" She tilted her head, examining Benjamin carefully, her sharp eyes picking up on the oddly human-like details. "Wow… it almost looks like a little person!" she added, her fingers gently rubbing Benjamin’s tiny head as if he were some kind of pet.

Benjamin froze, unsure of how to react. Should he reveal himself to Chloe? Would Sadie be okay with that? His cheeks burned with embarrassment as Chloe’s huge fingers rubbed his body, but he stayed silent, deciding it was probably better to keep quiet. Instead, he blushed furiously, feeling both flattered and embarassed by the attention.

Sadie chuckled softly at the sight of Chloe’s affection toward the tiny Benjamin. "Yeah, I couldn't go trick-or-treating without my little bunny," she teased, casting a mischievous glance at Benjamin, who squirmed on her shoulder. After Chloe filled her bag with candy, Sadie waved her goodbye and headed off towards the next house.

Once they were alone again, Sadie turned her attention back to Benjamin, her expression softening. “So, little bunny, are you having fun yet?” she asked, her voice playful but sincere.

Benjamin hesitated for a moment. It was strange, to say the least, being so small. "Well," Benjamin started, scratching his head awkwardly, "this whole thing is really weird, no doubt about that. And being treated by Chloe like that was really something, but... yeah, I think I’m actually starting to enjoy it. It’s kind of fun, being small like this, at least for a little while. And... well, getting to spend the evening together with you like this is pretty great too."

Sadie grinned, pleased by his answer. "I’m glad you're finally enjoying yourself! And the night's not over yet Ben, there's much more to look forward to," she purred, her eyes sparkling with a hint of something more. There was a playful, almost secretive tone to her voice, as if she knew something Benjamin didn’t, and it sent a small shiver of excitement down his spine.

Benjamin allowed himself a small smile as he leaned back slightly, enjoying the gentle rhythm of Sadie’s movements as she walked. Despite the absurdity of this whole shrinking thing, everything was still going according to plan. Once they got home, he’d grow back to his normal size, and finally confess his feelings to her. He was almost sure she felt the same way about him.

Tonight was going to be amazing, just as he had planned. The magic of Halloween was in the air, and he felt like anything was possible, especially now.

But as Benjamin sat there, lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice the mischievous glint in Sadie’s eyes or the way her lips curled into a knowing smirk. She glanced down at the tiny boy on her shoulder, her mind swirling with her own plans for the evening. Benjamin thought he knew how this night would go, but Sadie had a different idea altogether.

Yes, tonight would be a night to remember. But maybe not exactly in the way Benjamin had imagined.

With a soft chuckle, Sadie continued walking, her grip on her little bunny secure as they continued their stroll. Halloween had always been her favorite holiday, and this year, it was shaping up to be the most unforgettable one yet, for both of them.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the trick-or-treating adventure came to an end, Sadie started making her way back home, content with the spoils she collected. Benjamin remained perched on her shoulder, watching the world pass by in silence as the night had grown still. Even after everything that had happened, being shrunk to three inches and spending the night in a bunny suit, he couldn't be happier being together with Sadie. He had a good feeling about tonight, like nothing could go wrong.

When they finally reached her house, Sadie pushed the door open and stepped inside, kicking off her black sandals with a sigh of relief, her bare feet slapping loudly against the floor as she plopped down on the couch, letting herself sink into the cushions. Benjamin, still resting on her shoulder, glanced around the room. It was cozy, filled with warm lighting and a faint scent of cinnamon in the air.

Sadie placed the full bag of candy on the coffee table with a satisfying thud. "We really racked up on the treats tonight," Benjamin remarked, his tiny voice carrying a hint of pride as he looked at the overflowing bag.

Sadie glanced at the candy and then down at Benjamin, a mischievous smirk playing at the corners of her lips. "Yeah, we sure did," she said, her tone playful. "But honestly, Ben, I've already got the real treat right here." She tapped his head lightly, her smirk widening.

Benjamin blushed furiously, his heart pounding in his chest. Did she just... was that a hint? Could Sadie actually like him back? His thoughts spiraled with excitement and confusion as he looked up at her, hoping this was the moment he had been waiting for. But before he could dwell on it further, Sadie reached up and gently pinched him between her forefinger and thumb. With delicate care, she lifted him from her shoulder and placed him on the floor, right between her two massive bare feet.

From his perspective on the floor, everything about Sadie seemed even more imposing. Her feet, her legs, her towering figure... it was all overwhelming. He looked up at her nervously as she grinned down at him with amusement. There was a shift in the air, something subtle but undeniable. Benjamin wasn’t really sure what she expected him to do in this moment, but he realized that now was the time to finally put his plan into action. He needed to get out of this silly costume and back to his normal size.

The thought of confessing his feelings was still foremost in his mind, and he was ready to experience the best night of his life. He reached behind his back, fingers searching for the zipper that had been there earlier. He fumbled around, tugging at the fabric, but a cold wave of panic washed over him when his fingers grasped nothing but smooth material.

The zipper was gone.

Benjamin, now in a full-blown panic, frantically tugged at the suit, trying to rip it off. But no matter how hard he pulled or how desperately he twisted, the suit wouldn’t budge. It clung to him like a second skin, and he realized with growing horror that he was stuck. Trapped.

He heard a soft, melodic laugh from above. Slowly, fearfully, Benjamin raised his head and stared up at Sadie, who was watching him with a look that seemed both amused and something... darker. Something that sent chills down his spine.

"S-Sadie, the zipper... I-I can't..." he began, his voice trembling. But before he could plead for her help, she cut him off.

"I know you’ve always loved me, Ben," she said softly, her voice gentle yet laced with something unsettling. Benjamin’s breath hitched as she continued. "And I want you to know... I love you too."

For a brief, fleeting moment, hope surged through Benjamin’s chest. This was it. Sadie already knew, and she was going to tell him that she felt the same, that this was just some weird Halloween prank, and they’d laugh about it later. But then Sadie’s lips curled into a malicious smile that sent a fresh wave of dread through him.

"I love you... as my pet."

Benjamin’s world came crashing down. He blinked, unable to comprehend what he had just heard. "W-What?" he stammered, his voice barely audible.

Sadie leaned forward, her face looming above him like a mountain. Her eyes gleamed with the same mischievous glint she had displayed all night, but now there was something colder behind them. "You see, Ben," she explained, "my costume tonight wasn’t just for show. I’m a real witch, born from a long line of warlocks and witches. And every young witch has to pass a test, a... rite of passage, so to speak. A test where we use our magic on someone close to us... and turn them into our own personal pet. A loyal, loving companion. And I. Chose. You." she pointed down at him with a wicked grin.

Benjamin’s blood ran cold. "No... no, this can’t be real," he whispered, backing away from her enormous feet, tripping over himself. "Please, Sadie, turn me back. This... this isn’t what I wanted!"

Sadie’s laughter filled the room, a soft but chilling sound. "Oh, but Ben. You wanted to be with me, didn’t you? And now you can be, forever. Just not quite in the way you had hoped." Her foot lifted from the floor, hovering right above him. "But don’t worry! You’ll get used to it. I think you’ll make a wonderful pet, once I'm done with you." She smirked, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Now then, I hope you're ready for some training... in obedience!"

The shadow of her colossal foot loomed over him, and Benjamin cried out in absolute terror as it slammed down right next to his tiny body, the impact rattling him to the core, as the sheer force of it sent him tumbling to the floor.

Sadie leaned down, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Get ready for your new life, little bunny" she whispered gleefully, her voice sending chills through his tiny body. "We're just getting started."

As Benjamin laid there, trembling beneath her, he realized that his romantic dream of confessing his love to Sadie would never come to pass. She had betrayed his trust, and now... he was reduced to life as her pet, trapped in a tiny form with no way out.

As Sadie's foot was coming down for another stomp, all Benjamin could do was scream. His life as he knew it was over, but the nightmare had only just begun.
