Chapter 5 - There can always be a bigger
The Titanic girl picked up the glass jar that Veronica and I were trapped in and took it to her house, which by the way is not very different from the one we were in. She showed us to a taller, more mature giantess, who I assume is her mother.
- LOOK MOM WHAT I FOUND IN AURA'S HOUSE! - The young Titan's mother leveled her face at us and strained her eyes to recognize us.
- ARA ARA, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE AURA HAS RETURNED TO ITS OLD HABITS OF CAPTURING HUMANS.
- HUMANS? IS IT SOME KIND OF INSECT?
- HAVEN'T I ALREADY EXPLAINED? HUMANS AREN'T INSECTS, THEY'RE LIKE US, INTELLIGENT AND BIPEDAL, BUT THEY'RE EXTREMELY SMALL.
- CAN I PLAY WITH THEM?
- IF YOU TOOK THEM FROM THE AURA HOUSE, GIVE THEM BACK. IF YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH HUMANS, TAKE THEM YOURSELF!
- AAAH - mumbled the young titan, disappointed - OK...
With thundering steps, the Titan walked through the tribe towards the house of our former kidnapper. I don't know if I should feel relieved or desperate, it's a mixture of feelings that are inexplicable, the only thing I can say is that Veronica and I feel insecure. I could see along the way that she was in a daze, with her head in the clouds, until she bumped into a Titan that was much bigger than her and even taller than her mother.
When she overbalanced and fell, she accidentally knocked over the pot we were in and the lid came off, creating an opening for us to escape. I grabbed Veronica by the arm and ran outside, taking advantage of the fact that the Titan girl's attention wasn't on us.
- WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!
- I'M SORRY...
- HUPF, IT'S OKAY. WHAT'S THAT YOU'RE CARRYING? - The Titan girl picked up the pot from the floor without realizing we were gone.
- THIS IS...- Looking closely at the pot, she realized that we had run away - WHAT!? WHERE ARE THEY? - She looked at the ground around her for us, but couldn't find us.
- WHO ARE THEY, GIRL?
- THERE WERE TWO HUMANS IN THAT POT... - Veronica and I managed to hide in time in a nearby bush.
- REALLY? I'VE LOST INTEREST IN HUMANS FOR A LONG TIME. Anyway... - The giantess starts sniffling - DO YOU FEEL THAT SMELL?
- NO. I DON'T HAVE MUCH OF A SENSE OF SMELL.
The titanic woman searched the bush where Veronica and I were, and to our misfortune, she found us. We tried to run, but our efforts were futile. Using her index and thumb fingers, she captured me, leaving only Veronica behind.
- I THINK I'VE FINDED THEM - The titan brought me close to their nostrils and sniffed hard, for me, it's like I'm in the center of a tornado - THAT SMELLS GOOD. I DON'T THINK THE AURA WOULD MIND IF I...
The giantess threw me like a bullet into her huge cavernous mouth, and as she flicked me back and forth with her huge tongue, I just tried not to drown in her saliva. Her voice now hits my eardrums like thunder, almost making me deaf. This isn't just torture, it's humiliation.
A short while later, the titan finally spits me out into the palm of her hand which, in length, easily rivals a soccer pitch.
COF! COF! COF!
I coughed up some of the remnants of saliva that were stuck in my throat. I notice that the Titan is looking at me with a smile on her face, apparently she likes me. She even licked her lips, imagining the possibilities of what she could do to me.
- THE TASTE IS ALSO SOMETHING I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED. I THINK I'LL BORROW IT, LITTLE ONE. LET AURA KNOW.
- ERRR... OK - The Titan girl simply turned her back and went on her way.
It sounds like a joke, but once again I've been adopted by another Titan, I wonder: How many will want to use me as a toy?

VERONICA'S POINT OF VIEW:
Jonas was taken by the adult Titan and I was left behind. I think the younger one lost interest in me, because she went back to the house, leaving me on the ground, at the mercy of any giant.
Anyway, I snuck around in the tall grasses and bushes until I found a safe place to stay. My goal is to return to human civilization, no matter how long it takes to find one.
Even though the tribe was small, it took me a long time to get out of it. From the position of the sun, I'm guessing that I started my journey at midday and only managed to get out of there in the late afternoon.
After all this madness, I'm hungry and thirsty. Luckily, I find a little stream nearby. I take advantage of this moment to drink some water and rest for a while under a tree, after all I'm not used to long walks. Then something catches my eye: a few meters away, I see some humans bathing in the river, and I wonder if it's a good idea to talk to them.
I gather my courage and decide to go all out and talk to these strangers. When they saw me approaching, they just stared at me blankly. They are three children and one adult.
- H-hi, could you help me?
- Who are you? I've never seen you around," asked the only adult man present. Firmly and suspicious of me.
- My name is Veronica, I'm not from these parts. As it happens, I was captured by a titan and brought here.
- I see. Indeed, the tribe of the Titans is very close to here. How did you escape?
- It's a long story, but it was thanks to a loophole, I just took advantage of it.
- The man also called his sons and took me to a nearby town.
It didn't take long for us to arrive.
- Welcome to the Hidden City. One of the few known cities located in the territory of the Titans.
The Hidden City is hidden among large vegetation that probably prevents the giants from seeing at their full height. The place is very simple, there are several small wooden houses with sloping roofs, none stands out more than the other, the streets are made of stone, the citizens wear simple clothes and appear friendly and polite, there is even a shopping area.
In addition, in the center of the city a huge tower caught my eye, it is taller than any building here. There's a guard who watches over the city from inside and out and there's also a huge bell at the top.
- Well, I'd ask you to sleep over, but my wife wouldn't like it and I don't have much space to offer. But take this - the man who hardly knows me handed me some coins - 6 gold coins. It should be enough for you to find a place to live for a while, until you find a steady job.
- Thank you. Honestly, I don't even know how to thank you - I'm touched, no one has ever been so kind to me before.
- Don't worry about it. By the way, I haven't introduced myself, have I? My name is Jeremias - He held out his hand and I respectfully shook it in length - It's up to you now, Veronica. I should get back to the house because it's getting late. See you later - David took his children and left, I waved my hand in farewell.
Now I have to settle here until I can find the money to go back to my city. Actually.... I wonder if it's worth it, if my son and husband are still alive... Is that really what I should do? I think it's a lot to think about. For now, I'll focus on staying alive.
