A Micro's Perspective by Giantbanana
Summary:

EDIT: Now with actual Micro-content, yaaaay!

Follow the story of a 22-year old guy who slowly (but in bursts) shrinks down to 1/2000th of his original height, like so many others. He's always known that he would likely eventually shrink, but that doesn't mean he's truly prepared for it. Luckily, he has some allies he can count on in the form of his older sister, his best friend, and mutual friends that mean well.... but don't always act the same to a shrinkee as they would a regular person.

Inspired by essentially every virus-related shrinking story I've ever read, with a few of them standing out. If you recognise elements from anyone's work: I'm sorry. I don't mean to copy but there are just things I adore. It's also possible that I don't even realise something's been done before... cause I'm dumb like that.

Enjoy!

Prologue by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

First chapter is a bit of background for the world this story will be set in. No real "content" to it, but I've gotta dump the lore somewhere, don't I? Also, this is a fictional world: Any laws of physics, biology, chemistry, etc. that get broken are dismissed. It's a size story for fun, enjoy it. Also, in case the pandemic spooked you too much... maybe sit this one out as a virus is the primary reason the size difference is explained here.

Humanity, an exceptional species that has bent the world to its will through technology and stubbornness. Sadly, they had forgotten that they were just like any other living creature: nothing but the result of DNA, which in turn is just atoms and molecules interacting in a way that's thermodynamically beneficial for their stability and existence.

Approximately 50 years ago, humanity got reminded of its place by nature itself. You see, in the deepest reaches of the wilderness, there was a virus. A virus that, over the course of centuries, slowly developed an interesting side-effect while trying to perfect its infectivity towards its main hosts: flies. So, when humanity encountered these jungle-flies due to increasing deforestation in the Amazon... they also came into contact with this new virus.

For a while, nothing seemed wrong, they didn't even notice the virus infected and spread throughout the human population, because it didn't cause illness.  So why was this a problem? Well, the virus's side-effect targeted a specific gene present all of humanity. However, there was a slight variation in the gene... 10% had one, 90% had the other.

The side-effect was simple: For the variation that 10% held, it shrank the human by a factor of 2000. For the other 90%... it augmented the 5 main senses... The irony was not lost on them... and all the shrunken ones realised it was a good thing.. for otherwise they would have been truly screwed.

The virus swept rapidly throughout the world. The effects took a few weeks to develop... but soon enough everyone had become infected. And while the virus itself would eventually be beaten by the immune system... the effects were permanent.

Naturally, this changed society as a whole. New laws were made to protect those shrunken by the virus. But as time went on, they became more lenient. Tinies were often cast away from their old homes and lives by people who simply didn't want to deal with them. Government agencies existed to keep them integrated in society, but they tended to group together and form their own communities... forming cities inside cities, districts within districts, etc. Of course... there are always those with foul intentions.. and this new subclass called "micros" is an easy target...

After 5 years or so, the epidemic stopped, most of the world having been infected at some point and developed immunity to the virus. Ever since then, it occasionally returns for small local outbreaks... hitting the new generations. 30ish years ago, it became possible for parents to get intel on which variation of the aptly-dubbed "shrinking gene" their newborns held. It was a free choice... though many hearts were broken because of it, for both choices that could be made.

This brings us to our actual story. The story of a 22-year old lad from a suburban town being born unlucky with the actual shrinking gene, knowing his whole life, and eventually getting infected. A lad whose parents had only dared to have a second child when their firstborn, a girl, was already 11. A lad whose parents died in a carcrash when he himself was 12... leaving him in the care of his freshly-graduated 23 year-old sister. A lad who, given his likelihood to eventually become a mere speck, did not have many friends at all. In reality, he only had one true friend beside his sister, and she would stick by him no matter what size he was.

End Notes:

Yeah I know, terribly original scenario, especially the dead parents. Truth is, I just write random stuff, and given I don't enjoy characters above 35 in a size setting..... had to write them out somehow. Also, I'm aware the chapter isn't terribly long either.

Basically: If it sucks, I'm aware. If you enjoy this: Awesome, glad you do

I also have no clue if and when I will properly start writing the actual story.

Beginnings by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

Chapter titles are annoying to come up with. But still, anything is better than just "Chapter #whatever".

"I'm terribly sorry mister and miss Seabrook, but the tests came back positive. Mister Seabrook is infected with the SDV. I suggest you start getting things in order. At the rate you're going, I expect you have between 2 to 4 weeks until you've fully... reduced."

The doctor said it so matter-of-factly. To him, it was just another name to add to the list of people infected while having the unlucky gene variant. To Lio and his sister Rachel, it was an end of nearly 2 decades of fear that this day would come. The 33 year-old brunette reached her hand towards her little brother's wrist, her caring instincts knowing exactly when he needed her most. For a decade, it had been just the two of them, with limited friends to gain support from. But they always had each other, ever since Lio was born. Rachel adored her baby brother, and she would do anything to protect him. But the one thing she couldn't protect him from was the one thing both knew would eventually happen: getting the SDV and shrinking down to a mere speck.

Two days ago, Lio woke up in the morning and felt his clothes were just a little too loose. Given the world they lived in, the siblings immediately measured his height.... Lio would never forget the look on his 185cm tall sister's face as she told him he was no longer 170cm tall, but 168.5cm. It was a look of dread, but also a look of love. A look that told one clear message: "I'm your big sis. I'm never abandoning you. We'll adapt, like we did after mom and dad passed away." Both of them knew at that point that he was infected, but they needed official confirmation to get the appropriate paperwork done. Rachel had been infected when she was a mere 8 years old. Circulation and resurgences of the SDV was more prevalent back then.. Speaking of which, the meaning of SDV depended on your genes. For the unlucky 10%, it was the Size Decrease Virus. For the remaining 90%, it was the Sense Develop Virus. It was incredibly unfair... but that's just how the world worked. And with Rachel's senses being heightened to a near superhuman level, the pair stood a chance of keeping interaction possible.

Once they were out of the doctor's office, the Seabrook siblings simply stood in front of each other and stared in silence. Lio was already down to 165cm. Uncharacteristically, he was the first to speak: "Well, I guess your title of big sister is about to become even more literal than it already was. From 15 centimetres shorter to 20 in 2 days... In a week I'll be needing you more than ever to reach the top she-"

His joke was interrupted by his sister hugging him tightly. Her tall but slender frame easily encompassing him, long arms reaching across his back to hold him. With their size difference, Lio found his eyes getting close and personal with Rachel's collarbone. He supposed it was a good thing he hadn't shrank too much already..... having the embarrassment of his face being buried in his elder sister's chest was the last thing he needed.

"Shut up you dingus. No need for masks, I know you're scared, I always know." Rachel cooed as she hugged her cheek to the top of her brother's head. "I'm gonna make sure that your last few weeks at standard sizes will be some of the best you can imagine. Work's lenient, they'll allow vacation days to deal with a sick family member."

It was a nice thing to hear. The subject of shrinking hadn't been total taboo in the 10 years Rachel had been taking care of her brother. But it was clear that she didn't want him to think about it too much. She wanted him to live his life as carefree as possible, knowing it would take a miracle to keep him uninfected forever. In her mind, it was her job to worry about such things, even if he was an adult at this point. It helped that she had always been considerably taller ther him. She'd watched him grow... now she'd watch him dwindle.

"Thanks sis, but could you let go? You're way stronger in your arms than you look, and you're gonna need to learn not giving me such strong squeezes anymore." Lio said as she looked up at his sister's chin.

"Oh, of course. Sorry bro. But you're gonna become comparatively more durable as you get smaller... So I think I'll be fine if I'm careful." Rachel said as she let go of her brother and took a step backward.

"Is that my future? Being the coddle-toy of my overbearing big sister?" Lio joked as he looked smugly at Rachel. In his mind, he couldn't help but think that wasn't the worst imaginable fate..... if Rachel hadn't been his literal sister.

Rachel had always been quite the stunner. Lio had been unaware of it for a while. But after people at school pointed it out, he couldn't help but notice it. Her distinctive trait was her height, an impressive 185cm, quite tall for a woman. She also looked younger than she was. Most 33 year-olds would slowly begin showing their age, but Rachel casually looked like she was still 26. She was slender, not extremely curvy but physically fit. It almost looked like she was built to be 12cm shorter but fully upscaled to fit her height properly. For as long as he could remember, she had wavy-curly brown hair that came to her mid-back. Her eyes were a piercing green, capable of looking into your soul if she wished. She had a small beauty mark below the edge of her left nostril. Her skin was clear, smooth, and almost always lightly tanned. Currently, his big sis was wearing some jeans short shorts, a white tank top and a white checkered shirt that she left unbuttoned in the summer heat of a seaside town. Needless to say, despite it being his sister, Lio couldn't help but wonder what she'd look like from his destined height of 0.85mm.

"Oh come on, that's not fair! Yes, I will coddle you, you're my baby brother. But it's not like I'm keeping you around as an object or a pet. I'm keeping you around because we're family, and we look out for each other. I'm not gonna suddenly flip my personality and become cruel, that's ridiculous." Then, the smallest smirk formed on Rachel's lips, showing a devious side that she always had, but only showed when she felt like it. "Your chores might change though. You won't really do much in the household anymore, so you're gonna have to keep me extra happy by performing new chores."

Lio's eyes widened at this, and his sister just cheekily grinned and winked, walking past him towards her car, patting him on the shoulder. "Come on, let's go grab some lunch. Then you can finally go tell Ava what happened. She's worried, you know. And if you don't meet up with her soon, she's just gonna show up at our front door and demand an explanation."

Lio gulped as he followed his sister to the car, wondering how his best friend was gonna react to the news his "time" had finally come.

Something told him she was gonna have mixed feelings... Both excited and saddened....

Telling Ava by Giantbanana

It was about 2pm, Lio sat on a bench in the local park. He had a lovely view of the plantlife, the people going around in the background. And the person standing right in front of him, thinking about what he had just told her, wasn't a bad view either.

"Man... not even a full month after graduating? That's just unfair. It's like they wanted you to feel ready for a usual adult life... just to throw a dodgeball in your face." Ava said, standing before her best friend. She wasn't surprised he had located the nearest bench, he was always a little lazy. And if she hadn't known this would eventually happen, Ava may have needed to sit down from shock.

"Tell me about it. Not that I had concrete plans, but now I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do with my life as a Micro. Rachel seems to think I will be spending the rest of my life at home or with her.... But that can't be right, can it?"

As expected, Ava smirked a little, she was always the more fun-loving of the pair. She wasn't exactly the greatest extravert, but compared to Lio, she seemed to have 10 times the energy she actually had. "Nah, you'll be spending a lot of time with me as well. Don't worry buddy, I'll save you from your overbearing big sister and remind you of the fun in life. Speaking of which, stand up you lazybones, I'm gonna be looking down at you from now on, I wanna appreciate the difference being relatively small for now."

Lio didn't really have a say in it, as Ava stretched out her arms, grabbing his wrists and pulling him up with all the strength biweekly jogs and fitness sessions had given her. She had just graduated a Master's in "rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy". So she had had to be physically fit for schoos well, especially in the early years. And that healthy lifestyle hadn't faded at all.

"Well that was easier than expected." Ava mused, proud of herself. Lio, of course, just rolled his eyes. "It's cause I'm already 5cm shorter than I used to be, I'm sure I weigh a few kilograms less alrea-"

His sentence was cut short as the 175cm tall brunette casually hugged him really tightly. Something about this was very familiar....  It felt as if Ava was trying to shove their bodies together into one... The woman, of course, wasn't anything, she seemed to be burying herself into her friend.... Not as the usual lingo meant, this was without kissing or doing anything more "exciting" than touching skin against skin.

"Ava, what the hell are you doing?" Lio said, breaking free and looking up to find his friend's eyes sparkling with devious purpose. She seemed annoyed it had been cut short, but didn't push it.

"Isn't it obvious? You're infected, and I wanna get infected too. I won't shrink, I dunno anyone closely except you that has that variant of the gene. I just wanna make sure I have the heightened senses so we can keep being buddies as best we can when you're a teeny tiny speck. I'd hate to lose you because I couldn't see you, or hear you, or feel you.... or... nevermind, you get the idea."

Lio was well aware which two senses she hadn't mentioned... And how "touch" had made her stop. It made him both wary and incredibly curious what new dynamic Ava saw in their friendship once he was fully micro.

"Well, you could have just told me! No need to grasp me like we're some overly horny couple! In a public space, I might add."

Now it was Ava's turn to roll her eyes, putting her hands on her hips. She looked as beautiful as always... and was aware of it. She was a caucasian light brunette (meaning light brown hair, not deep brown) with gray-blue eyes and long and straight hair that came all the way to her lower back. She usually let her hair hang on her chest/back or in a lazy ponytail. Right now, it was in a ponytail... It was warm outside. She was slender, but not lanky at all. In fact, her legs were long and athletic, but perfectly proportioned. Because Ava had little shame around Lio, he knew her chest was a low C-cup, but mixed well with her overall frame. However, her rear and her thighs were simply perfect. They had the exact needed amount of volume to them...the perfect mix of toned and round... In other words, while far from the "prettiest" girl around, she was quite the looker... Currently, she was wearing a loose white t-shirt and some beige shorts. And she had brains as well, as evidenced by her studies.

"It's not like anyone is looking at two peope in their 20s on a bench halfway across the park. But fine, I'll let you have your social peace and quiet." Ava said with a shrug, pushing Lio towards the bench again and sitting down on his right. She looked out in front of her, acutely aware that her best friend was looking at her profile. It crossed her mind that he would soon be smaller than the 4 large freckles that were spread across the cheek he was looking at.

"You do gotta let me help you buddy. I literally just graduated with Mental Health Care as my specialisation, in case you already forgot. I will never fully understand what it's like to shrink... But I think my education gave me a pretty good grasp on how to deal with it. So really, you're lucky as can be.... while still shrinking...."

Lio sighed, of course he hadn't forgotten. He also hadn't forgotten about how Ava had taken a keen interest in specialised courses for dealing with people dealing with shrinking. It wasn't just a mental toll, a lot of people had physical pains and problems as well... Some cases needed to adapt to their new size as if they were training for working in space...  He also knew that he was likely the reason she had been so interested in that particular field...

"I know I'm lucky Ava. I've got you and Rachel looking out for me. Well, we've got our mutual friends too... But I'm not sure all of them look the same at a Micro as they do anyone else, even if they don't realise it..." He sighed again, looking away from his friend and staring ahead of him. "And of course I'm gonna let you help me, you're my best friend. And way smarter than I am. It's just... so weird. In a few weeks, I'm gonna be a speck. Literally on the border of microscopic. I can't comprehend it.... I can do the math, but I cannot imagine how big you're gonna look when you're comparatively...."

"Three-and-a-half kilometers tall." Ava said, knowing the number by heart, then continued "I don't know either buddy. All I can say is that having people that 'big' care for you... has to feel nice on an instinctual level."

The brunette could feel Lio turning his head to look at her again. This time, she met his gaze, a hint of a blush on her cheeks. "What? I told you I know about this stuff, on an academic level. I also know you're the smarter one, just with different stuff. And... well..." Ava paused, Lio silently urging her to continue. "... Such a size difference allows us to finally try new fun things we've been thinking about for years...."

It took Lio 10 minutes to recover after choking on his own saliva by the reflex-swallowing out of shock. Ava had to put her physiotherapy skills to use to make sure her best friend didn't die before he fully shrunk.

Ava Carter's best friend... with the occasional benefits.

Couch Questionnaire by Giantbanana

Three days later.....

Lio was minding his own business, sitting on the couch and watching one of his favourite shows. Rachel had decreed that he shouldn't leave the house unsupervised anymore... Just because the doctor assumed it would take weeks to shrink, didn't mean everything would be fine until the. A "flash-shrink" wasn't unheard of, people casually losing a ton of their height in a matter of moments.

Not that he minded, he always liked being in the quiet of his own home. And with Rachel having arranged a sort of semi-vacation from work, he wasn't left alone with his own thoughts either. Ava was busy at her own work, she had opted to keep up her student-job for a while longer to "Get as much untaxed cash as possible before getting a true job".

The 22 year-old guy was actively involved with the show's story when he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Moments later, he felt the pressure of someone else sitting down on the couch. He had only a second to pause his show when he felt something drop onto his lap. There was no need to look down, he knew what had happened. Still, he looked down and confirmed that his big sister's sock-clad size 12s had fallen into his lap. Under normal circumstances he would have been annoyed, but at his current 150cm height... he couldn't help but note they seemed bigger than ever before.

But they were still his sister's feet, so he promptly looked to the side to see Rachel sitting at the other edge of the couch, her laptop in her help. Raising his eyebrow, he asked with a slightly sarcastic tone: "Can I help you, oh dear sister of mine?"

Rachel simply gave him a glance and smirked, then focused on her laptop again. "Actually, dear brother of mine, I'm in the process of helping you. But yes, I might need your assistance later." She tapped a few more keys and then looked up at Lio again. "Seeing how you seem perfectly fine spending your shrinking weeks on the couch, I've taken the liberty to check out some options for housing once you've gone... full micro." Lio noted the lingering sadness, but also determination and curiosity in her tone.

"Housing? What do you mean?" he asked with a hint of confusion. Naturally, Rachel just rolled her eyes.

"And you wonder why I worry about you... I mean that you can't very well use your bed anymore at that size, can you? Or the shower, or anything."

Lio suddenly felt really stupid. Of course he knew that, it had just... slipped his mind for as long as he remained a plausible size for an adult... "I know that. I just assumed that we'd get furniture on that scale and put them in the right rooms or someth- Hey! What was that for?"

Rachel had decided that her brother didn't have a clue. And the best way to get him quiet was to casually nudge one of her feet against the side of his face. The appendage, clad in blue ankle socks, had touched his lower jaw and cheek with its toes and ball. Then it had retreated back to his lap as if nothing had happened. A simple and innocent action, though Rachel seemed to enjoy it. Otherwise, she would have simply cleared her throat. "So you would shush, as you clearly don't remember what we talked about before." she said with a tone that clearly disapproved of Lio forgetting. "We're getting you a house on the Micro scale. It's way more convenient for you, and having an entire area on your scale should make things easier for your mental state... Or so Ava told me anyway. And given that Micro houses are... not at all expensive with how little resources they require, we can make it your dreamhouse. That's where the laptop comes in. All we gotta do is answer a questionnaire, make some extra choices and the company will manufacture and send it within a few weeks."

Micro Houses were most common in districts full of Micros. But some "normal," companies had seen the market for providing those who stayed in "their" world with the best housing imaginable. All the costs were in the production, for the resources were negligible. And with how advanced technology had become for production.... It meant a marine biologist who had been taking care of her baby brother since her last year of studying still had plenty of funds for a Micro House. One might wonder if that company was simply a rare one with good morals and a heart....perhaps they too had a shrunken family member they did not want to throw away.

"Right... so, why are you filling it in? Can't I just do it myself in peace and quiet." Lio asked, already knowing the answer.. But Rachel could surprise him.

"I dunno, seemed like fun. Besides, I wanna know how my brother plans to be living quite soon. One rule though, no being cheap on the material quality. I want something so sturdy I could step on it with a hard sole and it wouldn't even creak." Suddenly, Rachel's face was quite serious, her green eyes staring into Lio's soul.

He tried to lighten the mood a little: "Of course, why wouldn't I want that? Could mean you can pick it up and change its location, change of scenery every now and then. On that note, if there's a question about furniture being bolted down and every cabinet having locks, mark both as a yes. I wanna be able to make sure not even a plate could get wrecked."

Rachel's expression softened, curiosity taking over. "Smart choice, but why are you worried about it? We both know I would only move it on occasion, and be super gentle with how I move it."

"You might, but we both know a certain someone will not be able to resist grabbing and moving a Micro House once she knows I'm not traumatised by my size."

Rachel rolled her eyes once more... but clearly had something in her mind for the seconds before she answered. "Ava's a good girl, she wouldn't hurt anyone. But you're right, she has a very playful and cheeky side to her. Just tell her to never let me catch her with your house on her thigh, or between them, or on her tongue, or her hair... or anywhere except her hands."

Apparently, Rachel had decided she wanted to share her mental images with her brother.... Likely to tease him in her own special 'sister-way'.... He would have cursed at her if he wasn't worried he would be met with a facefull of socked size 12s. Not that cursing wasn't allowed.... Rachel just had very strange moods.

And so the siblings spent the next hour or two filling in the questionnaire.. Rachel having decided she would not yet issue Lio first new chore just yet.... She'd had her fun, and it was mostly meant for times after they would be readjusted to their new dynamic.

Shopping Shenanigans by Giantbanana

"Tell me again why my best friend decided that I would want to spend some of my last days at a plausible human height shopping?" Lio said as he tried his best to follow Ava, which was getting harder with his decreasing size.

Ava just shook her head at Lio's comment. They were at the local mall, a place in decline compared to when they were younger, but still going strong. For this occasion, the brunette had opted for one of her favourite casual dresses: a kaki green one that was loose and comfy around her body and reached halfway down her upper lets. "Because you need at least a shirt in a few sizes so you don't get forced to wear your old clothing as you get smaller." Ava said, turning halfway and looking over her shoulder with a smirk on her face. "Or do you wanna wear your Disney themed shirts again? I'll admit it would look adorable."

".... Point taken." Lio agreed somewhat flustered as he picked up his pace, passing Ava who was still stopped in her tracks. As he passed her, he tried his best to not look straight at her. At 138cm tall, his face was level with his friend's chest. If she had known this before getting dressed and meeting up, he knew she likely would have picked something a little more... form-fitting around her torso. She liked screwing with him like that, though it was never mean-spirited.

Eventually, they made it to the central hub, looking around for the shops that would interest them. Lio's eyes, of course, fell on the gamestore, the bookstore, and nostalgia couldn't help but make them fall on the toyshop as well. Luckily, Ava was there to be the.... responsible adult of the pair. She was mentally noting the different clothing stores. When she looked to the side, she saw her friend not paying attention to the right things. In response, she just rolled her eyes and laid one of her arms on top of his head, like he was something to lean on. "Whatcha looking at buddy? You considering having your new house be made of Legos? I hate ruining your dreams but I think they'll be a bit too big for you." she teased, removing her arm and standing up straight as she felt Lio moving awkwardly beneath her.

"Come on Ava, don't do that stuff! It's bad enough to see Rachel regaining her youthful playfulness now that I'm back to sizes she hasn't seen me at since she was a teenager." he protested... though he didn't truly mind. He just didn't like Ava acting like this in public. "But no, the house is already ordered, we got the confirmation-mail this morning. I feel kinda bad though, I'm gonna be living better than Rachel and she's been the moneymaker for a decade...."

At Lio's suddenly solemn expression, Ava's own cheekiness faded. Instead, she adopted a very sympathetic look that could make anyone's day instantly brighter. She also put her left hand, her dominant hand, atop Lio's right shoulder. It was huge compared to him now... but maybe that's what he needed. "Hey, don't think like that. Rachel's doing this because she loves you, her little brother. She could have dumped you a decade ago, but she didn't. She found work instantly and is now a senior biologist at the aquarium. I'd say she's doing pretty well in life."

"She's also responsible for the education towards visitors these days.... She can make a presentation about something as mundane as a koi interesting to both a 5 year old and a 50 year old. Let alone the actually cool animals they have there..." Lio added, understanding what Ava was trying to tell him.

"She could have also dropped you now, a lot of families do.... But she didn't, and that's because she made a choice and a vow to look after you."

"Yeah... but she never got to start a family of her own because of me... I don't know if she wanted kids but... you know...."

"Oh my god stop being so negative, it's not like you. We both know Rachel's too focused on her work to have kids. And she's already dealt with raising a teenager... Almost two with how often I came over.... Plus this education thing means she gets to be around kids plenty at work too. Point is, she would basically slap you if she knew you felt guilty towards her. Now stop sulking and let's buy you some clothes before you get another shrink burst."

With that, Ava grabbed Lio's wrist and dragged him towards the shop she had chosen. She was smart enough to be content with the cheapest clothing. since he was gonna wear them for 3 days at absolute most. He didn't really care... As long as it felt nice to wear, he was okay with it. He was also reminded that he really didn't like shopping, but Ava's positivity was infectious.

But Ava wouldn't be Ava without adding in some fun of her own. At one point, she followed him into the fitting room. She had a good reason of course, she was carrying the potential clothes (because frankly, she was much stronger than Lio now) and needed to hang them on the racks. But she also took the opportunity to... show off. After putting the clothes in their spot, she turned around to see Lio standing awkwardly in front of her. She smirked when she saw his determination to look up at her face... and simply stepped even closer. This effectively "trapped" him between a wall and a... soft place.

"Lio. Buddy. You're allowed to look there, you know. It's not like we haven't seen each other in swimsuits before. It's also not like we haven't... you know...." Ava cleared her throat and her face became a few shades more red. That quickly faded though. "Besides, we're both aware my chest isn't my best asset. You better get used to looking at things cause pretty soon they could take up your horizon. And it's not always gonna be my face or hands. Not with me and not even with Rachel."

Lio just gulped and shifted his glance in front of him, looking at Ava's dress-covered chest. Because she wasn't very busty, the collar just barely didn't show a hint of cleavage. His mind wandered to a few weeks from now... when that same chest would be literal hills compared to him. He then looked up at Ava again, who had a big grin on her face. She clearly enjoyed he took the bait. "Nice view isn't it? Just wait a few days until your face is level with my better hill-like asset.....Oh! As a sidenote, I went to the doctor's and got confirmation I'm infected too now. So maybe we shouldn't stick in one place too long... I wanna avoid the chance of infecting another potential micro as best I can."

Lio nodded, he wanted the same courtesy given to him all his life until a few days ago... Seemed fair he wouldn't be a hypocrite about it. Back in high school, he always appreciated it when people who got infected stayed home.. They didn't have to, and they weren't really sick. But most people were nice enough to not purposefully infect him.... Though he was pretty sure the majority did it as a favour to Ava... and not himself.

"Oh, but before we head home, I'm gonna go to the jewellery store real quick. I got something I need to pick up. You can just wait at a bench, I'll be back in 10 minutes at most."

Familiar Face... and mountains by Giantbanana

Lio just sat there, on some bench in the middle of the mall. Ava said she'd be back in 10 minutes, he wagered it would be more like 20. At the very least, everyone seemed to leave him alone. He guessed it was because people saw his size, but that he was an adult and therefore in the middle of his shrinking period. Honestly, he was glad there wasn't some insensitive prick who wanted to get infected for great senses... Ava did it, yes, but Lio knew her and knew that she did it so they could keep interaction at the max possible level. Some insensitive pricks did it just because they wanted what were essentially superpowers.

Needless to say, when he took a moment to look down at the ground in thought, he didn't expect a shadow to fall near him and hear a familiar voice.

"Lio? Is that you?" a beautifully melodic voice called. He recognised who it belonged to, but could only be certain when he looked up at the person who had approached him. The first thing he noticed were beautifully sculpted bare legs, the skin fair and smooth. On one end, there was a pair of feet clad in white sneakers. On the other, past thighs with the perfect amount of volume, there were high-waist jeans shorts. Going further up, he saw a dark blue tank top that clearly showed the outline of a rather impressive chest... definitely around lower D-cup. His gaze could not help but linger there a splitsecond longer than anywhere else. This was also where he saw the tips of straight blonde locks. Once he was past those hills, he was looking at bare skin again. The area just past the tip of those "peaks" were also where he saw the tips of straight blonde locks were located. Finally, he made it to the face of this familiar voice. He noted the lips and nose he had seen many times before, but his gaze ended in brilliant blue eyes. He was now certain who he was looking at....

"Hi Jasmine... Yeah it's me... My luck finally ran out a little over a week ago." he replied, looking at one of his old classmates from high school. She had been friends with Ava, and still was. It had been about a month since he had last seen her though. Back then, they were both the same height of 170cm. Now... well... he was a mere 140cm.

"Damn... Well, sorry to hear that. Can't imagine what it's like. But at least you got to finish college, right? I've heard stories of people who got infected when they were barely able to go potty...." Jasmine said awkwardly with that lovely voice of hers.

The blonde had always been a nice girl, though a bit of an odd one. Her looks gave her potential to be the it-girl, but she was really casual about everything. Sometimes... a bit too casual. She was known as extremely playful, a master of teasing. And yet, she wasn't mean-spirited. In fact, she had been one of the few girls from which he was certain they had stayed home while infected because she didn't want to shrink him. Not, like most, where it was because they knew Ava would be... let's call it "distressed and furious".

That being said, he was pretty sure it was because he had helped her a lot with history class during that year.

"Yeah... I'm a bit surprised myself. But hey, at least know I don't have something hanging over my head anymore." Lio joked, which Jasmine took as her cue that he was fine and she could be herself.

"Pretty sure you're gonna have a lot of things hanging over you. Just make sure it's something nice, hmm? Like a lovely pair of certain hill-types or huge reddish pillowy cushions. And not some hard leather surface or something similar." the blonde sang, looking down at the small man sitting before her. Just like Lio, Jasmine was acutely aware they used to be the same height. It felt.... weird, but she had always known he would eventually become speck-sized.

"I'll keep that in mind, Jasmine." Lio said sarcastically as he looked up at the busty blonde. He decided that his seated perspective made it quite difficult to look up at her face, so he stood up to talk with her. Of course, this just put his face level with a bosom he had glanced at many times. Back in high school, Jasmine preferred loose clothing, sweaters, things that hid her bosom. Of course, there was no hiding it during PE, and most of the boys liked her for those "big" two reasons. Lio, meanwhile, also just liked her personality. She was a friend of Ava's and a bit odd, but she made things lively in ways not even his best friend dared to do.

"Oh? Standing up are we? Does the Little Lio need a big hug? Well, who am I to deny a future Micro a proper hug?" she replied, grinning as she stepped closer and brought Lio in for a big hug. Her arms wrapped around his back and he found himself pressed against the blonde's bigger body. Specifically... his face got pressed into her sizeable chest, burying his face in fabric-clad boob for a solid 10 seconds before Jasmine let go. "There, that ought to brighten your day." she teased with a wink as she still stood quite close to him... her chest hovering but a few centimeters from his face.

Lio was the right amount of stunned, but after a few seconds his brain kicked in. He took a step backwards to look at her face, and saw a familiar playful look. A reminder that he was looking at someone that didn't have ill intent. She was just a weirdo, albeit a hot, teasing weirdo. "You know, you doing that type of stuff with a knowing smile can make people think whether or not you're actually into girls or not. Speaking of which... is Lacey around?"

The blonde just shrugged and said "I only like girls romantically, doesn't mean I can't have fun with a guy. Besides, everyone knows that nothing short of all-out war can separate you from your best friend. But no, don't worry shorty, Lacey's at dance practice. She's really not that bad you know, she is my girlfriend after all."

"Jasmine, I want to like her, but ever since she was told I had the Micro variant, she's been looking at me weird." he said somewhat nervously. He didn't want Jasmine to think he was shittalking her lover... but it was true.

"Lacey's odd, but she's also sweet. She's just never even seen a Micro before, she came from the countryside for college and sticks around now she's done. She's curious and I don't blame her. But I'll make you a promise: If you give her a chance once you're a speck, I'll make sure nothing bad happens."

The blonde held out her hand, and Lio carefully took it. Both parties noticed how Jasmine's slender hand now immensely outsized Lio's. And to think soon he would be outclassed countless times by the tip of her pinky. "Deal. But you better keep it. Hell hath no fury like the two brunette ladies in my life."

Jasmine just playfully scoffed. "I always keep my promises. Though I should warn you, I'm pretty sure the cause of Lacey's curiosity is because she wants a Micro between us in bed. I don't mind at all, but best to warn you before get in too deep if you don't want to. Though if you ever want a blonde landscape instead of a brunette for a harmless occasion, you have my number.~" she said with a wink, playfully posing and stepping closer again before breaking away.

"I should get going now, gotta pick up my loving dancer. You take care now, little Lio."

With that, Jamsine walked away, and not long after she was gone, Ava returned. "Alright I'm back. Sorry it took so long, but I got what I wanted. And no you don't get to see it. It's better if I reveal it later.... Wait... why are you blushing?"

Siblings by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

Hey look I'm not dead. A week's absence means death online, right?

Slightly shorter chapter, didn't know what to do at legheight and I already postponed this Rachel chapter with some busty blonde weirdo. That's also why it took a while to write.

Siblings, a bond like no other. Sometimes you fight, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you hate each other, sometimes you love each other more than anything.

Sometimes, you're reminded that even when you're 22 and 33 years old, there is a desire to go back to a time where you were 4 and 15.

"No way Rachel, that's just weird." Lio said, sitting on the couch while his sister stood in front of him. At this point, she could be considered a true giant to him. He stood a mere 90cm tall...  compared to Rachel's mighty 185cm frame. Essentially, he came up to her hips...

"There's a lot of weird things in life, people shrinking is one of them. I'm not forcing you, but all I'm saying is that this size difference hasn't happened since I was a teenager. And it's not gonna occur ever again... so I wanna cherish it." she said, already dressed in her pyjamas for the night. A simple light blue shirt and dark blue shorts, both loose enough to be comfy for sleep.

"Rachel, I'm not a child anymore. Sleeping in bed with my sister's just... weird after a certain age." Lio said, looking up at his sister. He very vaguely remembered this size difference, from around the time he gained proper awareness.

Rachel just sighed. It was a sigh of tiredness and annoyance, Lio was quite good at guessing his sister's moods. "Fine, I won't force you. I just thought it would be nice to do such a thing one last time. I also thought it wouldn't be a big deal, one tiny favour you could do...."

"Rachel..." Lio began, his sister's tone already making him feel guilty. But she cut him off, clearly intent of finishing her thoughts.

"Has it occurred to you that I've never asked you for favours? I let you be who you wanted to be, do what you wanted to do. Not once did I say no unless it was clearly a safety hazard. I never said anything about Ava visiting your room with the door closed. You may not realise it, but I didn't hold you too tight. I raised you, and not just after mom and dad died. We both know I had to babysit for years. Sure they left us in a great financial position, but that's about it. Mom vaguely raised me, but when you were born she essentially dumped you with me, a teenager. And even now, while most others would dump their shrinking family, I refuse to do so. You can forge your own path, but as long as you want, you can live here and I'll look after you. All you'll need to do are some new chores...." she was clearly upset, her eyes having gone watery. Rachel did not cry often at all....

So, Lio reached upwards and grabbed both as many of Rachel's fingers as he could in both his hands. She obviously liked it, as her thumbs wrapped around the tiny embrace. "Rachel, you're my big sis, and you always will be. I owe everything to you. You taught me everything I know with that clever brain of yours. I'm... sorry I altered your life-path, you deserve better.  You were my only real friend before I met Ava. You know how kids are to people who are known to have the shrinking variant. And whatever mischievous chores you got planned, I know you'll always look out for me."

With that, Lio stood up from the couch, noting how his sister's legs were as tall as he was. He imagined hugging them, and he was going go... if Rachel didn't break his cute fingergrip and literally lift him up like he was 4 again. He felt a huge, warm kiss on forehead before being able to look into his sister's amazing green eyes. He felt his stomach and belly pressing against her bosom... so glad he wasn't just a tad smaller. "And you'll always be my baby brother. Now, it's late, let's go to bed."

At this point there was no arguing with Rachel, and Lio didn't want to. He got into his pyjamas (newly bought) and went towards Rachel's room by himself. While walking there, he heard and even felt Rachel's familiar gait behind him. She had always outpaced him, but at this size he felt her gaining on him. He paused to look behind him, but instead looked up as a shadow fell over him. Rachel's long legs swung by, crashing down next to him. High above, he saw Rachel with a proud yet smug smile. "I would have stepped right over you but you're still too big for that. Now come on little brother, hurry to bed."

Once in bed, the expected happened. Lio felt awkward about his sister's huge yet gorgeous frame laying next to him. Meanwhile Rachel seemed deadset on cuddling,  wrapping her arms around her very little brother and bringing him close to her huge frame.

And yet, Lio fell asleep before Rachel, as nothing was more calming than his sisters embrace.

Evening Visit by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

It was a regular Tuesday night. Like most of Lio's evenings for the past 2 weeks, he was just relaxing on the couch. Looking at the clock, he saw it was about 9:30. Rachel wasn't home, allowing herself a night to actually do something for herself for the first time in ages. That really just meant a friend had convinced her to finally come over and catch up, but Lio had still made it clear he didn't mind.

What he hadn't expected was that the automatic lights in the backyard would turn on and reveal a familiar shape. There Ava stood, looking through the window for a second, smirking, and heading over to the backdoor. Everything was locked, but Ava had been given a key years ago. This showed how much trust there was between the 2 friends and Rachel.... But also because it was just convenient, since she came over all the time anyway.

Lio snapped out of his momentary confusion when he heard the click of the backdoor being unlocked. As quickly as he could, he jumped off the couch and hurried over to the backdoor hall (which was really just a small space next to the kitchen). But by the time he got there, he was met with two bare knees in front of him. Below him were beautifully smooth shins and feet that were clad in running shoes and socks. Everything else of Ava's admittedly amazing physique now towered above him... Such was the world at 52cm tall. Looking up, he saw that Ava was clad in athletic shorts... clinging tightly to her perfectly shaped thighs. Further up, the woman's torso was covered in a loose, sleeveless grey shirt, perfect for going to the gym. He guessed there was a sportsbra underneath, but he couldn't know for sure. At the top of this towerlike lady, was Ava's smiling face. She looked playful, mischievous, determined, yet still kind and sweet. As usual, her hair was in a loose ponytail, though many shorter strands went freely around her head.

Then it hit him, Tuesday was Ava's gymday... Though it seemed she had taken on an extra jog for this detour....

"Hi buddy, how're you doing down there? I got a text from Rachel saying she wouldn't be home tonight, asking to be ready to help if you were to text for it." The brunette put her hands on her hips and her soft smile became a smirk. "So, I thought it would be way easier to just head over after I got done at the gym. I've got nothing else to do and I know for a fact you don't either."

Lio wasn't sure how to respond. On one side, he felt a little betrayed Rachel had gone around his back and essentially asked his friend to look after him like a babysitter over a babyphone. On the other, he couldn't really complain about her coming over, especially when his sister wasn't home. When he eventually responded, he made sure to include a certain detail.

"Alright, that makes sense. But surely there was no reason for you to jog to the gym and then to this place? You have a car, and your jogs are on Thursday and Saturday. So what's your game, lady?" he asked with clear suspicion in his tone. But it was hard to sound serious when the person you were talking to towered over you at the size of a two-storey building.

"Well, given what I know about you and your preferences, I figured you would enjoy the presence of a still-sweaty, pretty athletic lady. We both know damn well you only jogged or worked out when I accompanied you. And even then you mostly spent your time enjoying the view." Ava cooed teasingly. There was clear amusement in her tone, maybe even a hint of something... deeper.

Regardless, Lio's response was what one might expect. "Wh-, hey! I joined you because it made you happy. The view was just a nice bonus...."

"Oh, so you admit that much at least? Good, then I think we can proceed to make this a fun evening for the both of us. Now, be a dear and untie my shoelaces, will ya?" Ava said, her smirk growing to a cheeky, wide smile. To emphasise her point, Ava stepped even closer so her toes were a mere centimeters away from her shrinking friend.

Lio couldn't believe what he was hearing. In fact, he just blankly stared up at Ava. Then again, with how close she now was, it was hard to see her face beyond her chest.... Eventually, he mananged a response: "E-excuse me? You want me to do what?"

Ava's response was delivered sweetly and matter-of-factly. She was clearly enjoying herself. "Oh you heard me just fine. Last time I checked, there's a no-shoe rule in this house. And something tells me that will not change anytime soon due to your condition. It's rather simple: you're already down there, I've done enough stretching for tonight. Now come on little buddy, or don't you want your best friend spending her post-workout evening with you?~"

Lio was silent once more. It was clear to him that Ava was in one of her "moods". Or as he privately referred to them: those times she gets way too stubborn. Over the years, he'd grown used to them, and just let them happen. Most of the time they ended up being fun for the both of them... But it felt different when the lady stood 123cn taller than you than the 5cm it was before. And clearly Ava was getting impatient, for her next response would be considered insensitive if they weren't best friends.

"So is it gonna happen this week or are you waiting until the shoes are literal hills to you? Cause you don't need to worry, I'll let you crawl wherever you want when you're a Micro."

This snapped Lio out of it, and he glared up at her satisfied face. "I hate you sometimes."

"But you love me most of the time, and that's what matters.~"

Despite his answer, Lio got down to his haunches and leaned forward over the massive footwear. At this point, it was a little over half the length of his body... He had now reached heights only reached by newborns or unborns.. It was surreal to be sure, seeing the the white-and-black shoes at such a size.

"Unbelievable..." he muttered to himself.  Nonetheless, he reached towards the rope-sized laces. But he realised his current position was somewhat uncomfortable. So, he shifted his position. Now, he was on his knees, each one resting on the toe of one of Ava's running-/gymshoes. Then, he slowly but surely untied the laces.

Ava's response was the wiggle her toes within the shoes... Lio felt the movements beneath him... She definitely liked making her size known, maybe a bit too much.

"How does someone with a type of medical degree, with a speciality involving mental health and SDV enjoy this so much...." he said under his breath, looking down at the laces as he untied them. After a lot longer than he cared to admit, namely a minute, he finished both pairs and stood up straight again. Looking upwards, he saw Ava's face filled with enjoyment.

"For the record, you can't get away with muttering things anymore. Sorry buddy, my hearing's the first sense that got upgraded. If you thought Rachel could never hear you, she's been fooling you your entire life." the brunette giantess said, looking down at her tiny friend. "Now step back, I don't wanna slam you with my knees."

Lio didn't have any reason to ignore his friend's request, so he stepped back. Admittedly, it was reflex, his mind was processing that Ava's senses were enhancing at a faster rate than he was shrinking. Nonetheless, there was something intriguing about a building-sized lady in sportswear bending at the knees and reaching down towards her shoes to tug them off. He watched as the muscles of her thighs and calves tensed up, showcasing their full shape for him to enjoy. Seconds later, the brunette was back to her full height, and two sock-clad feet stomped down in front of him. Instantly, he was hit by a strange yet not-unpleasant scent. Yep, Ava had definitely come from the gym and jogged to-and-fro....

"Come on buddy, there's something I wanna try. I'll let you keep your dignity to walk, but come to your room. And no, we're not doing that. How would that even..... nevermind. Just hurry up, but feel free to enjoy the view."

With that, Ava raised one leg into the sky and stepped over Lio like it was the easiest thing in the world. Her right foot soaring over his left shoulder, and vice versa. He turned around, and saw Ava walking away, her athletic posterior in full display with those tight shorts. She'd chosen a slightly shorter shirt so it wouldn't be covered, he was certain. Lio sighed, and followed after his larger friend, trying his best to ignore the fact Ava was leaving faint, moist footprints.

When he reached his room (which, like most things in the house, was on the ground-floor), he saw Ava sitting on the side of his bed. She was taking up spacd, her legs spread wide, showcasing the soft interior of her thighs.

"So, what exactly did you want to do so badly you came here while Rachel was away? If it's not.. that, then what else is it?"

Ava just giggled and beckoned him over towards her. Lio complied, but made it slow so Ava had time to answer his question. "I told you, some fun for both of us. And as a little bonus this might help your endurance a bit. Surely you're starting to notice that things are getting harder, and it's gonna be a thousand times worse when you're a Micro."

Lio stopped in front of Ava's legs to answer, gazing up at her face and trying to ignore the glorious, still-glistening things level with his face. "Alright, so why do I get the feeling there's more to it than that?"

"Nonsense. The vibe you're getting is included in what I said: we will enjoying ourselves, and you can feel the anticipation for my share. Now come closer." Ava teased, playfully sticking her tongue out.

Lio glanced at the thighs before him and back up to the face. He sighed, knowing Ava was gonna let him endure stuff until Rachel got home.

"There ya go buddy. Now, as thanks for being so compliant, the first thing won't be as much as a workout as a reward.~" the brunette cooed from above. Her voice held a new subtone, one of playful... seduction?

The 52cm man no time to react as Ava's legs closed, smothering his face with her perfect thighs. They overpowered him completely and he panicked for a second. Then he remembered who he was dealing with, and heard soothing words from above. Or rather, a soothing tone. The soft, supple flesh blocked out most light and sound

It only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like a blissful eternity. Once Ava opened her legs again, Lio gasped for breath. Though with his smaller lungs, he didn't need as much as he thought he did. Up above, Ava was giggling happily.

"Did you enjoy that? Cause tonight's all about my legs. And think, this is when I'm a two-storey building. Imagine the fun we'll have when I'm a mountain.~"

End Notes:

I had fun with this one. I kinda just let myself write some stuff. We all need a bit of content in our stories, right? Especially when nothing has really happened yet.

New Chores by Giantbanana

"You know, there's a very good reason I don't like taking sudden time off or working from home." Rachel grumbled as she walked into the living room. Like was often the case these days, Lio was sitting on the couch, watching stuff on tv. He was in that awkward phase where he was too small for regular stuff, but too big for the many Micro-manufactured equivalents that existed these days. Currently, he stood a mere 27 centimeters tall.... Rachel had been mature enough not to mention it, but he was now shorter than her old Barbies, somewhere in the attic.

"Well, that's why you went over for a few hours today, right? Now everything's fine again. Right?" Lio called up to his huge sister as he watched her discard her purse, laptop bag, et cetera.

This caused the tall brunette to pause and look at him with a look of annoyance and sorrow. "No, it's not. Sorry Lio but I'm gonna have to go back all day tomorrow. I don't understand how the research department at an aquarium can go so awry in a few weeks, but it did. I guess management's more concerned with the tourist season or something. I'll make sure you have everything you need. So even if something happens you'll have access to food and water. And-"

"Rachel, calm down. I'll be fine, thanks. Right now I'm more worried if you're fine or not. Go take a shower, change into something comfy, and just relax for a bit." Lio called up to her, clearly a little worried his sister bit off more than she can chew.

"R-right. Of course. Thanks little bro. You're the best." Rachel lovingly cooed as she stepped closer, leaned in and placed a huge kiss on his forehead... and a good chunk of his scalp. At this point, her head was about as tall as he was.... so her lips covered a lot. Then, the woman walked away towards the bathroom.

"Maybe if you'd let other people have responsibility at work, you wouldn't have this problem..." Lio sighed once he heard the shower running. He had no clue just how good Rachel's hearing was, but if it was enough to hear a Micro it had to be pretty damm fantastic. Or maybe it was weirdly specific in what it picked up. He didn't know, and would never know. He was unlucky enough to slowly become a mere speck compared to the outside world....

A few minutes later, Rachel re-entered the living room. The brunette was now dressed in a relatively thin (still a hot summer), light grey bathrobe. Knowing his sister,  she wasn't totally naked beneath it, juuust in case. The tall lady walked in front of the couch, blocking the tv and dominanting Lio's view. Then, she crouched down, bringing her face as close to his level as she could (which was essentially the seat itself at this point).

"Looks like you were right, little bro, that shower did wonders." Rachel cooed softly. Or as softly as one could sound when her head alone was bigger than the person she was speaking to.

The smile on his sister's face would never not put Lio in a better mood. The woman was just so effortlessly charming... in more ways than one. "Well, what can I say? You might be the smarter one, older one, and more than ever the bigger one, but your little brother has some good ideas. Besides, all you do is worry about me, seems only fair I return the favour whenever I can."

Rachel giggled at that comment, then paused for a few seconds before her lips formed a slight smirk. "Well, if you really mean you want to return the favour... I may have something in mind. Remember how I said you would probably get new chores once everything settled down? Chores more fitting for your new stature?"

Lio raised an eyebrow in suspicion. Rachel smirking meant shenanigans was afoot, and he wasn't sure if he would like it. His sister would never do something he truly despised, of course, but she certainly had her quirks, even in her early 30s. "Yeah....." he said slowly "Rachel, what are you planning?"

"Well, there's one thing I wanted to have you do sometimes. And I think now is a good opportunity to do it for the first time. If anything it will be easier than it will be in the future...."

Rachel paused. Lio wasn't sure if she was being purposefully suspenseful or just nervous. He beckoned her to keep going, which she luckily did.

"Well, you see, today's been rough. I've spent hours going from one side of the park to the other, getting things back in order, barely having time to do deskwork or rest...."

He could see where this was going.

"So I've been up on my feet all day..."

There it was. He was right.

"And I was hoping my little brother wouldn't mind giving a massage to make sure they aren't sore as hell tomorrow too...."

Lio didn't respond immediately. He just stared in front of him, at his lovely sister's face. She was doing that look, a look he was sure no one could resist. How can those usually piercing green eyes inflate and look so pleading?

"Hold on, you want me to do that in the future as well?" he eventually managed. The response was Rachel turning ever so slightly red, something he hadn't seen that often.

"Well, yeah. There's not a ton you can do as a Micro in terms of physical chores. And we know for a fact Ava's gonna make sure you don't become lazy.. Probably already setting up an obstacle course or something. .. maybe a bit too eagerly."

Now there was a mental image Lio really didn't need from his sister. And knowing Ava, it would involve herself quite intimately... Maybe she would be the obstacle course...

"Anyways... you willing to do this for your sister? We'll talk about chores again once you're settled as a Micro...."

Lio sighed, shaking his head free of whatever cheekiness Ava would have planned for him when she was a landscape. He looked back up to his sister and said: "Yeah. Sure. As you said, it's only gonna get harder from here."

Rachel flashed an incredibly bright smile. "You're the best brother I could have wished for." she beamed happily, then leaned in to give Lio another smooch on the forehead.

Then, the tall brunette stood up to her full height again, towering over her little brother. "You might wanna scooch over to the armrest, wouldn't wanna trap you beneath my calf."

"Well at least she's not making me move to the coffee table while she props her feet on it..." Lio thought as he did as he was told. In the meantime, Rachel sat down on the other end of the couch. Mere seconds after he had made it to the edge, Rachel's long legs swung onto the couch. When he turned around to face her, Lio found himself looking at Rachel's admittedly rather large, yet perfectly hygienic feet. At least she took a shower before making him massage them.... But there was another thing Lio noticed, something he knew was coming but wasn't too happy about anyway.

"Damnit! Your feet are taller than me now!"

It was true. Rachel wore women's size 12s, some smallerfitting brands even requiring size 13s. Lio was 27 centimeters tall... Rachel's feet were about 27.6 centimeters long. Basically, from Lio's pov, the feet were twins that were 3 centimeters taller than him.

"Is that a comment about how small you are or how big my feet are?" Rachel called from "far" away. She was positioned so Lio could see her face and the rest of her body stretching out between her feet. He unwillingly comfirmed Rachel was indeed wearing underwear under her bathrobe, as he gaze didn't go up immediately. One doesn't expect to look into the sky to find a face.

"Both." Lio answered which got him a mocked scowl from Rachel. "What? It's true. I am small and you are extremely happy shoestores started offering more larger options for women a few years back."

"You know. I am pretty sure I asked you to rub my feet, not be a smartass. Postponing it won't help you, only make it harder if you wait too much." Rachel replied, a hint of snark in her tone.

"Fine, fine. I'll do as my overlord sister commands."

"Damn right you will. Wait. Overlord? At least make me a queen, or an empress!"

Lio didn't respond back. His excuse would be that he was supposed to be working, not talking. Instead, he walked towards Rachel's left foot. He sighed as he truly compared his height to it. But it could be worse, it could be 552 meters tall compared to him....

Well, it would be in at most a week from now....

Lio wasn't exactly a foot guy, especially not with his sister. But he could appreciate it was well taken care of. No real calluses, maybe a tiny tiny amount at her heel. Unlike a lot of wome her age, Rachel never really wore heels, sometimes in a boot but that was it. That probably helped. When he reached out and touched the appendage, he found out even this part of his sister's body was rather soft. They were pretty smooth too, except parts of her arch, there were a good number of wrinkles. Like the lines in someone's palm... but on the footsole.

He started at the ball of Rachel's foot, kneading the flesh as best as he could. He figured that was the most sore part, not like Rachel was giving him any hints. She was probably musing that she couldn't even see him behind her foot anymore. But, she could hear some quiet murmurs of content, so he figured he was doing fine. Then, slowly but surely, Lio moved downwards. The soles were definitely the most malleable part, which was nice. The heel, meanwhile, was the most annoying. He also didn't really do too much there.... who ever massaged a heel anyway? When he was done, he paused for a while, stepping between both feet and looking up at his sister again.

"That good enough for you, oh dear sister?" he teased, which was met with a smirk as Rachel was playing with her increasingly dryer hair. "Oh yes, dear brother. Except there's are two feet. The right one feels neglected. Better do an extra good job with that one.~"

And so he did, because his sister asked him so nicely. And, well, he had a feeling he would have to get used to being around massive bodyparts... from his sister, his best friend, and probably anyone who didn't think too much about personal space towards a Micro.

Home Alone by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

We spend some time with Lio on his own, because frankly that hasn't happened yet.

The next day started rather uneventful. Lio got woken up by Rachel going about the house, setting everything up to make sure her brother would be fine while she went to work. Not wanting to bother her, he stayed in his admittedly ridiculously oversized bed. When it was about 9am, he finally decided to get up, using a makeshift ladder to safely out of bed. Weirdly enough, he didn't feel any smaller than yesterday, a nice change of pace. Lio didn't think anything of it. Rachel wasn't around for measuring, but he assumed he simply shrunk a little bit.

Wandering around the house had felt weird for the last few weeks. Ever since he got below a plausible height for adults, things seemed both alien and familiar. He used to be able to go through even if he was blindfolded, but his changed "dimensions" had completely thrown off his instincts.  At least Rachel was kind enough to open every door he could possibly need, and recently set up a few ways to got onto chairs, tables, counters, etc. Sometimes it was actual steps, other times some stacked pillows, and even an old bean bag got put to use one last time.

First, Lio went and changed into one of the outfits he had bought with Ava. It was the same as yesterday, but it stil fit. Then, he took a walk towards the kitchen. It took way longer than he cared to admit, but such was the life of someone in the shrinking phase. Once there, he climbed up onto the counter. Up there, both water and bread were waiting for him... Lio really had to thank his sister when she came home.

The next few hours were rather uneventful. Lio went to the couch like he had done so often for the past weeks, using his old phone to watch stuff online. Operating the damn thing was becoming hard... now it was essentially a massive touchscreen television. But he mananged well enough. Around noon, he went back to the kitchen for some more grub. His meal consisted of more breadcrumbs, but also one massive grape... He didn't even need to drink much after that huge, juicy piece of fruit. He also took the opportunity to go Number Two in a makeshift "toilet"... He really couldn't wait to have a properly scaled bathroom again.

On his way back to the couch, Lio began to feel a little dizzy. He figured the grape had simply been a little too much too eat, and that it would be fine once he laid down. But it kept getting worse and worse, and eventually he decided to just sit down and rest for a while. That seemed to help a ton, but he still felt immensely tired. Lio decided it wouldn't hurt to lay down and rest for a minute until his body felt alright. He laid down on the tiled floor (smooth, light brown/beige tiles of about 50×50cm) and closed his eyes.

When Lio woke up, it was about 3 in the afternoon. He was groggy for a bit, but his headache had subsided. The first thing he noticed was that he didn't feel like he was laying on tiling anymore, but rather a carpet. Opening his eyes, he found himself nearly fainting. Looking around, he saw his previous outfit all around him like a small field of fabric. In the distance, the rest of the living room towered like far-off mountain ranges. Everything was gargantuan... and Lio quickly realised he had endured a flash-shrink.... An absolutely insane one at that, for Lio had the sinking feeling he had all the way down to his fated height of 0.85 millimeters...

Looking at his "huge" clothing, Lio realised he was naked now. The next 10 minutes were spent freaking out, as one might expect. Sure, he knew this was his fate but there is a big difference between knowing and experiencing. The shirt felt weird beneath him, able to make out individual threads as if they were somewhat thick ropes creating a field. At one point, he considered leaving his current position. But he decided against it for several reasons. One, it would take him at least an hour to reach anywhere better than where he was now. Two, while it was still a warm summer day, he didn't know if walking naked on tiling would be a bit chilly or not. Three: "Even someone without augmented senses would know what discarded clothing around dollsize means.", as Rachel had said a few times prior.

Rachel.

Lio hadn't even thought about her yet. His poor sister would come home from work to find her brother the size of a mite. She already felt guilty enough for going at all.... He'd have to figure out a way to make sure she didn't blame herself...

The next two hours were exactly that, thinking of ways to approach his next conversation with his older sister. He wasn't sure whether to imagine her size or not, not knowing if it made him feel prepared or even more anxious. Therefore, he didn't, moreso focusing on making sure to remind her that he was fine, both physically and... mostly mentally. He would drop the mostly, probably, didn't want him to worry. His mind also wandered a bit. For once, Lio was incredibly glad Ava would be stuck and work and not appear in the room out of nowhere. Yes, she was his best friend and yes, she was theoretically more qualified to deal with Micros. But right now, he needed his sister, more than ever.

And around 5 in the afternoon, he heard the garage open, Rachel's car pulling in. At this point, Lio was seated at the edge of the fabric-field, but he instantly shot up onto the tiled floor when he heard the familiar noise. Not long after, he heard the door connecting the garage with the rest of the house. Moments later, he heard a voice louder than any he had ever heard before. It was booming and all-encompassing... yet somehow didn't hurt his ears.

"Lio, I'm home. Today wasn't as bad as yesterday, thank god. How's my little brother do-."

While she was speaking, Rachel walked into the living room. She was utterly gargantuan, a living mountain in the shape of a human woman. She was still wearing one of her work outfits, water-resistant dark blue shorts and shirt. Her shoes had come off, as per her own house-rule. The only way Lio could see all of this at once was because she was on the other side of the room... And that still required looking up.... Directly in front of him were his sister's bare feet, the same he had massaged less than 24 hours ago....

Rachel had stopped mid-sentence because her eyes fell on a pile of discarded, doll-sized clothing in the middle of the floor. Her eyes widened and her entire body tensed up. All except her hands, which came to her face to cover up a loud gasp. Carefully, they slid back back as Rachel called out very softly, although her voice was still booming.

"L-Lio? Are you still there little bro? It's okay, you can call up, I should be able to hear something from this far if you yell...."

The worry in her voice was so obvious anyone would have noticed it.

And as he usually did, Lio obeyed his elder sibling. "Rachel! I'm here! Don't worry! I'm fine! I'm next to the shirt!"

Instantly, a massive amount of worry faded from the titaness bodylanguage. She muttered "Oh thank god" under her breath, then focused back on her brother. "Hold on, I'm coming over."

Such a simple statement for such a simple thing. At least, that was the case on Rachel's level. To Lio, it was unfathomably intimidating. Feet the length of over 5 football fields swinging through the air towards his position. And that is disregarding the literal landscape that those appendages are attached too. Lio could feel the earth shake, literally. He knew Rachel was being slow and careful, and that he would get used to it. But for now, his brain was screaming at him that things so large should NOT move so damn fast.

Rachel walked over until she was about 55 centimeters away from her speck-sized brother. When she got close enough, she could see him rather clearly. And she promptly decided to pretend he wasn't naked. It wasn't his fault, and they were siblings.

When Rachel got closer, she turned from a distant mountain to a looming monolith. Conflicting feelings were raging through Lio's head. Sister. Mountain. Massive. Gorgeous. Divine..... No. Sister, she's his sister, not some massively divine being come to grace him with her presence. "Hi Rachel....."

"Hi Lio...." Rachel's voice came from far above. Moments after she spoke, she realised how impossible it must be for her brother to look up at her face... over 3200 meters in the air. Well, on his scale. So, she got down onto her haunches, making things way more manageable. She was still over a kilometer tall in that position. Even her toes and feet were now literal foothills... Lio was now able to see his sister's face, by straining his neck a little. But what he saw was enough to immediately start talking.

Rachel's eyes were turning a little watery.....

"Hey! Big sis! Don't you dare cry! I'm fine, we always knew this was bound to happen. The timing was just a little weird, being today, but that's not your fault! You're a responsible adult, of course you need to go to work and keep things rolling!"

Rachel sniffled a little, extinguishing her watery eyes before any true tears could flow. So gargantuan, and yet arguably more distressed than the speck before her.

"Sorry... It's just... actually seeing my little brother as a Micro. But you're right.... It's just so unfair..."

"Rachel. Listen to me. It is what it is. I've known this my entire life. And as far as I know, I'm in the best scenario a Micro can be. Family willing to take care of me, and friends to support however they can. Don't feel bad for me, feel bad for all those without anyone that shrink down and fall into horrible situations."

"I.... Well yeah. But you know how it is, I'll always worry more about my own brother than anyone else. What happens to some Micros is downright horrifying. And yet, that's why I wanna keep you safe. Who knows what would happen if I set you loose "out there"..."

Lio still tried to keep the mood lighthearted to distract his mountainous sister. "Well, for one, Ava would come over and personally destroy you. Then she'd spend days looking for me where you said you left me. And then I'd be at her mercy."

"So, the same end-result but no protective big sis to keep her in check a little?"

"Basically, yes.... Uhm, Rachel, can we maybe move? I'm still quite naked and my neck is gonna hurt enough already."

"Oh. Of course! I've got everything ready! Your house and all its stuff is still in my room for now. We'll move it to your room later. Now, hop on little brother, let's get you back to being a perfectly equal member of this household."

Rachel's hand descended down from the heavens, laying palm-up on the floor. Near him was Rachel's index finger. Even that miniscule part of her body was utterly enormous. In fact, he would have to climb it to even get onto Rachel's hand. Lio approached the gigantic finger, noticing Rachel's nails were freshly cut. He also noticed a mere fingernail was now a huge keratin plate almost half as thick as he was tall.... That did have its benefits, it was a perfect stepping stone to try and get hold of the many ridges that littered anyone's finger. It was a weird thing, he was on the edge of microscopic, and yet the bodies of a titaness like Rachel provided so many imperfections (invisible on their scale) that were perfect for helping Micros. Same with the SDV giving them far greater senses, it was like a big universal joke.

A little later, Lio found himself in the middle of his sister's index fingertip, its unique lines surrounding him. Rachel had asked if he wanted to get to her palm, for safety, but Lio had said it already took long enough to get here... and that he trusted her with his entire being.

The tall brunette would slowly stand up straight. And while Lio experienced some vertigo from rising 3 kilometers in a matter of seconds, it was way less than it should have been. Humans weren't made for a size like this, but the SDV altered enough that survival was possible if the titans around a Micro had good wills.

Part of Lio wanted to look around the house as Rachel walked towards her bedroom. But his focus was fixated on the gorgeous face above him. Those lake-sized, piercing green eyes shifted back and forth every few seconds to make sure her Micro-brother was where she'd left him.

Everything would be fine as long as they remembered their bond.

I may have forgotten to mention a certain key event in the beginning chapter notes. Oh well, it's better not to be spoiled anyway.

Morning Visit From A Mountain by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

This one was also great fun to write. Describing enormity is just fun. Almost like I'm into this stuff... go figure.

So it turned out there were some benefits to being Micro. One, Lio's new house was sweeeet. It was basically a villa, filled with all his heart's desires. On his scale, it was pretty damn large too. Due to manufacturing processes, it was a 20x20x6 (meters) building to Lio, excessively large for one person. But to the rest of the world, it was only 10x10x3 (millimeters).. absolutely puny indeed. It needed the relatively large surface area to make proper handling a possibility.

The rest of the day, Lio explored his new place, astounded at how well-made everything was. After weeks of being on a wrong scale, having an entire villa at the "right" size lifted a huge mental load from his mind. He tried not to think about how Rachel's fingertip, the one that had carried him here, had absolutely dwarfed the structure when she set him down. He tried, and failed. Regular people were mountains to him now. His sister had sat on his old bed for a little while, in case he needed her help with.... anything at all. But once Lio had found his new, Micro-scaled phone, he had told her that she could relax. Surprisingly, she listened to him.

Lio went to bed really early, and woke up pretty late. Apparently, shrinking so much at once and settling at your new size drains a lot of energy. However, it was the manner that he woke up that was most interesting. It was rather sudden, as if his instincts forced him to wake up due to....danger? He groaned as he realised he was awake, raising himself up on his arms. His thoughts were sidetracked immediately, as he softly muttered "This new bed is fucking amazing...."

A few moments later, he sighed, turning around and getting up from his bed. His new pyjamas were also great. He was aware Rachel had said she took care of everything, but he hadn't expected it to all be so amazing. His room was dark, the house had blinds. Well, at least the bedroom had, Lio hadn't really bothered to check all the other windows. He walked towards the window and opened the blinds, closing his eyes for a second as he expected to be hit with a lot of sunlight.

Except, he wasn't. So, Lio opened his eyes to find out what was going on....

"Holy shit!" Lio yelled out in surprise and slight fear as he gazed into a gargantuan lake of black, white, and especially gray-blue.... an eye he knew all too well.

"Good morning to you too.~" Ava's voice boomed around him. Her usual tone feeling more melodic and ear-pleasing than it ever had before. The window was closed, but Lio could feel and even hear the wind hit the glass as the gargantuan eye blinked. He couldn't help but note that even those eyelashes were considerably longer than he was tall.

------

Ava had arrived as soon as she could after Rachel had called her to tell the news. The taller brunette knew Lio hadn't informed Ava yet, because otherwise she would have shown up in the middle of the night if it was necessary. But the older woman thought Ava deserved to know, and her assumption had been correct. The two women chatted for a little bit, Lio being the main topic. They clearly had some semblance of an "alliance" when it concerned dealing with a Micro-Lio.... They also just got along really well.

Eventually, Ava went to Lio's bedroom. The girl was uncharacteristically slow and gentle when opening the door, not wanting to spook her friend. Like Rachel had said, she found Lio's Micro-House on his old desk. The same desk the pair had spent many hours doing schoolwork, years ago. She stood there for a minute, waiting to see or hear any sign of life. Micros could feel "giants" coming from quite far away, they were forces of nature. So, given there was no reaction, Ava deduced that he wasn't awake yet... That gave her an idea, both a little devious and soothing (in the sense she'd still treat him as her buddy no matter the size).

Ava sat down at the desk and reached out. Then, delicately but firmly, she placed her index finger atop the house's flat roof. The brunette then dragged the house from the center of the desk to the edge... and waited. When she heard movement from inside (the SDV really gave ridiculously good senses), she scooted the chair back and bent down so her left eye was directly in front of the building... which was smaller than the eye....

------
With her plan a resounding success, Ava brought the chair a little further back so Lio could actually see her face. Meanwhile, the Micro opened his window so the pair could talk more easily. Even though Ava's hearing seemed more than good enough to go through his microscopically thin walls. He leaned out the window and gazed upon his gargantuan best friend. Seeing his sister like this was one thing, she'd always been someone he looked up to, literally and figuratively. But Ava, Ava was his equal, his friend, she'd affectionately called him "buddy" for nearly a decade at this point. Now here she was, a mountain in his old bedroom. Like with Rachel, his mind tried to comprehend such a massive being by linking her to divinity... and his attempts at suppressing it weren't as successful as it had with Rachel.

"Helloooo? Earth to Lio? Anyone home?" Ava called from seemingly hundreds of meters away. He watched those lips move so nimbly. With how close her eye had been, Lio had a pretty good idea of how small he would be to those humongous pillow-like ridges. He imagined what it would be like to touch those lips... He'd done so before, a little, but he'd always seen Ava as his best bud.... Now, seeing all her features blown to massive proportions.... his feelings were a little different.

"Lio?" the voice called out again. But this time, the playfulness was gone, replaced with genuine concern. That was what finally managed to shake Lio out of his trance.... hearing his favourite (don't tell Rachel) lady be so worried...

"I'm here Ava! Don't worry! I was just, uh, lost in amazement a little. I know it's you but you're just so....."

"Big." Ava finished for him.

"Big doesn't do it justice. Remember that year we went hiking? You joked about it then, but you were right. If you were as big to the world as you are to me now, those mountains would have been less impressive than you..."

It was true. Though Lio could only see Ava's face, her long brown hair in its usual loose ponytail, he was fully aware she stood a comparative 3.5 kilometers in height. And that was disregarding her actual proportions... some very impressive indeed.

"Yeah I guess... Hey, you know you can talk to me, right? About anything that's bothering you, I mean. Remember, I am technically trained to help with Micro.... rehabilitation would be the best word. I'm not gonna force you through anything... But I want your word that you will tell me if something feels weird. Some minds.. don't deal with the perspective change that well. And, well, you know, stuff I've told you a thousand times since I chose my college degree."

"I know, Ava. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten. I don't think I've gone crazy. But I will need to get used to everyone being... literal landscapes. Probably just need time, maybe actual experience."

"Well, you know Mount Ava is always open for certain individuals. Just say the word and you'll be granted access."

She said it so nonchalantly, but Lio swore she saw her cheeks go the tiniest bit red when she did. So there were multiple benefits to Ava's face being a cliffside, Lio could finally pick up her most minute bodylanguage. That being said, he couldn't help but think what that would be like... He knew how she looked, obviously, but found himself imagining what it would be like to travel across her body. Like any straight man, his mind wandered to certain.... areas of his lovely female companion. But then his logical side kicked in, ruining the fun.

"I... uh... maybe another time. Not really in the mood right now. How about we just get used to handling and being handled. Because I couldn't help but notice you moved my house to the edge of my desk."

Ava got the message, and was more than happy to be herself again. She was a little disappointed Lio hadn't accepted her offer, but she knew better than to push him. Besides, given the timing of his pauses, she guessed what kind of effect being a Micro had on him. She guessed he was one of those who felt the sheer size of people only enhanced their features, their beauty. Even things that wouldn't be appealing to them normally would seem rather intriguing. Specifically, she guessed Lio now saw "new wonders of the human female".

"Well, yeah. Couldn't exactly have my eye at your window when it was in the middle, could I? I could've pressed my head sideways on it, but they you would've been staring at a wall of skin, maaaybe the corner of my eye. Besides, Rachel told me everything I need to know. Your house is so durable I could try and stomp it with my shoes and it would be fine. Everything is bolted down or so secure no earthquake could ever break it. Et cetera et cetera. Oh, and that you have a new phone and didn't even call or text me last night. Some friend you are."

Her final words were emphasised by Ava's hand reaching forward. Her index finger came down pretty hard on the roof, shaking the house but everything being completely fine. Lio didn't even lose his balance. If he did, it was because of the mental shock and not the actual tremors.

"Come on Ava, don't do that!" Lio called, though his tone held the annoyance he always held whenever Ava used physical means to tease him. Thinking about it, Ava was only that physical with him. With others, she was far more reserved and calm. She liked a good party, but didn't have as much physical contact with all her other friends, even the girls.

"Oh please, you're fine. This house is designed to be carried and placed wherever big ladies like myself choose. I could make you live in Rachel's room, or on the bath's edge. I could put you on the couch, or the coffee table. I could even smuggle you with me, anywhere in my clothing. I could leave you in my pocket or in the warm, damp caverns of my size 9.5s. Or I could make you be my roommate, granting you vistas many of our old classmates would be so jealous of.~"

Lio thought about it, imagined it, and almost wished for it. All of those ideas sounded fantastic, though those involving Rachel were more platonic. But he didn't doubt Ava's willingness to try those things, if only because of her devious curiosity. He knew she had experience with Micros. But those were essentially volunteer-patients for her academics, encounters wrapped under ethical and procedural rules that only gave a little wiggleroom to make sure the patients knew Ava saw them as human. Lio was her best friend, as perfect as any Micro could ever be for her desires and curiosity. She wasn't his friend because he was destined to be a Micro..... but it was one of the greatest side-benefits she could think of.

Meanwhile, Ava had already confirmed her previous theory due to how long Lio took to respond. Poor guy was lost in thought, his imagination going wild. Though eventually, more than a minute later, he finally spoke up.

"Well, uh, good luck trying to smuggle me past Rachel. She trusts you but the house itself is staying here at all times. And I cannot guarantee she won't go into maternal-mode if she thinks you're being careless. We may be adults now but I don't think she will ever stop scolding us if we misbehave."

"Maybe, but what if hid you so well that she'd need to thoroughly search me?"

"She wouldn't care what she has to do to get me back to safely. If needed, she would make you do things only specialised customs crews are supposed to do."

"I bet half the town wouldn't mind doing such a thing in front of Rachel."

"Ava. She's my sister. Fucking gross."

"Said the guy who's new chores apparently all involve the 'maintenance' of his sister and her belongings.~"

Lio's eyes widened as he looked up at the massive face, a wide grin showcasing literal ivory towers. "How do you know that? And what do you mean, all?"

"Us ladies like to chat amongst ourselves as well, little buddy. We share secrets, ideas, stories. And I gotta say, some of them are right up my alley. I always knew your sister was awesome, but I never imagined she'd be so aligned with my own fun ideas involving a certain Micro."

"What did she tell you? Ava. You have to tell me what she has planned."

Ava leaned in close again. However, this time it wasn't her eye that filled his horizon, but her lips. Each time she spoke, Lio was granted a glimpse of the dark, warm, wet cavern behind some of the softest parts of her body, and the hardest.

"Not a chance. Now, as much as I would love to hang out with you all day, I already pushed my luck at work by asking for different hours literally the sams morning. Bye buddy.~"

As quickly as she had arrived, Ava left both Lio's room and the house. But not before saying goodbye to Rachel as well, telling the 32 year-old some of what she told Lio.

And, most importantly, not before leaning in even close and enclosing Lio's entire house in a soft, quick smooch. The Micro was cast in almost complete darkness, except for the few electronics-based LEDs in his room. It was surreal, he could feel the warmth of Ava's lips permeate the walls, and a gust of warm, moist air blew in through his open window. He could also swear he saw a glimpse of something that definitely wasn't her lips through the dim light, flashing past the window. Was that....her tongue?

Needless to say, Lio was left stunned as Ava pulled back, waved innocently and got out of his room. They fooled around a ton, but Ava rarely gave him an actual kiss, and it was always on the forehead or cheek....

End Notes:

Fun fact, this is the longest chapter yet if I remember correctly. Thanks everyone for reading and especially those leaving reviews. You're what makes me keep doing this, and I adore getting inspiration from your ideas. Sometimes I need something as little as "verb + bodypart" and I can on a tangent if I like it enough.

Next chapter: no clue, this is as far as I planned (and even then it was like "rachel chapter at footsize, then micro, then first encounter with Ava at micro)

Lunchtime Observations by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

Remember kids, your sister becomes mountain-sized, your mental state may plummet a little before you get used to it.

About 20 minutes after Ava left, Rachel decided to go and check on her brother. She found the MH (micro house) sitting where Ava had put it, on the edge of Lio's old desk. She also noticed it was glistening slightly in the sunlight... an effect of the miniscule layer of saliva Ava had inadvertently coated across the structure. Rachel rolled her eyes and sighed, Ava would always be the same. Hopelessly trying to get her brother's attention while the lad just thought they were close friends. Yes, Rachel knew. Of course she did, she knew before Ava herself knew, when the pair were still teenagers. The brunette smirked, perhaps her little brother would finally realise Ava's true feelings now that she was a mountain.

"Hi Rachel." Lio called from his house, sitting on his doorstep. Despite how stunned he had been at Ava's goodbye-kiss, he had managed to get himself dressed. Rachel's eyes shifted to her brother, smiling once she made contact.

"Good morning little brother. I take it your morning's been great so far?" she cooed as she sat down in the office chair. Unlike Ava, she didn't lean forward. That was neither better nor worse. Her face was far further up, but at least he could see her torso as well. She was wearing a loose, white t-shirt, and earlier he saw she was wearing grey shorts. Yes, it was summer, but Lio also knew Rachel simply liked showing off her incredibly long yet shapely legs, even if no one saw them.

"And what would make you think that, dear sister?" he asked, pretentiously innocent.

"Well, for one, you only slept in your new house once and it's already got an Ava-flavoured saliva coating." she replied coyly, smirking as she crossed her arms.

"Ah, yes. Well, I'm sure it'll dry naturally. I'm more worried about the scent staying around. Turns out she prefers cirtus-flavoured mints."

Rachel shook her head a little, unable to believe her brother sometimes. "One day you'll be old enough to understand women's social cues. But I fear I may not be around when you finally get it."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lio asked, standing up in his doorway and looking up at Rachel's face, far away like a distant peak.

"Case and point." she replied with another smirk on her face.

Lio knew he wouldn't be able to make Rachel explain. He never had been able to do so, why would now be any different? So, he decided to touch on a topic he hoped would catch her off guard. "Right. Anyway, I hear you and Ava have been gossiping behind my back. How long's that been going on, hmm? I thought my conversations with both of you were private."

Rachel didn't show any signs of surprise that Lio had hoped for. Of course not, Ava had informed her of this. What could one man, Micro or not, do against an alliance of incredibly smart yet cheeky women?

Nothing, but he hadn't figured that out yet.

"Let's see.... I'd say around the time she truly started feeling at home here. So, since she was 16, after the surprise you threw her. And they are. But let's face it, both of us can read you like a bedtime story. For example, you are both surprised at Ava kissing your house, and at the fact she didn't try and take you with her anyway."

"How do you know this stuff......" he muttered in amazement and annoyance. "Is it a skill you get when you're the older sibling?"

"Nah, it's called being a woman older than 14. Anyways, you want some lunch? Breakfast for you I guess."

"Uhm, yeah, that'd be nice!" Lio said, stepping away from his front door. Rachel just raised a curious eyebrow, her eyes shining with playfulness that had been reawakened in recent weeks.

"And where do you think you're going? By the time you've walked there, it'd be midnight. I'm not carrying you alone either. We need to test if carrying the entire MH at once is truly safe and comfortable. So get your butt back in there mister."

Rachel's tone was playful yet serious. With her last sentence, she uncrossed her arms and reached towards the MH with her right hand. Specifically, her thumb and index finger... that's all she needed. Lio quickly hurried back inside and closed the door. Then, he softly cursed that Rachel's "scare tactic" had worked. He'd gotten his butt back inside at a much faster pace... While there was 0 chance Rachel would lift off while he wasn't safe.

But he was safe, so he felt darkness cover his house as Rachel's thumb and index fingers grabbed the MH. He quickly hurried to a room in the center of the building. It was perhaps one of the strangest factors of the MH. The center was essentially a round chamber with two floors. The walls looked a little weird to the rest of the house, but there was a reason for their shape. The center rooms were essentially within a "giant" gyroscope... a place where a Micro could sit comfortably, upright, while the rest of the MH could tilt and move when carried.

And that's exactly what happend. At first, Rachel's fingertips grasped the sides of the building. But her index finger quickly forced itself beneath the foundations while her thumb shifted towards the roof to keep the object in her grasp. This caused the MH to be diagonal for a second before settling upright once more. And then, it was lifted into the air.

The gyro-room was pretty neat. It was essentially a small apartment within a house, everything he needed was in there.. though the downside was that there were no windows. Not that he would see anything except perhaps the details of his sister's fingertips. Lio just sat on the couch and waited.

Rachel walked towards the kitchen, holding her brother's house upright around the height of her bellybutton. With the gyroscope, she could have just held it sideways at her side... But that seemed so unpersonal and unnecessary to her. It was nice she could do such a thing if needed without having to worry about his safety. But still, her brother was in there, not a tictac. She vaguely wondered if Ava would do the same.... or purposefully do the opposite because she thought it fit her whole "eternal teaser" dynamic.

Regardless, Rachel set her brother's MH down on the kitchen table while announcing "Alright we're here."

Moments later, Lio emerged from the building once more, his sister loomed above him. The table was roughly level with Rachel's crotch, she was a tall girl. But instead of staring at the gargantuan shorts in front of him, he craned his neck to look her in the eyes. In moment like these, he was very glad his sister wasn't a busty lady... There would be no chance of seeing her face from this angle.

"Alright, so, Micro-scaled food is the only thing I forgot to get in advance. But as far as I know, the house came with some snacks you probably had for dinner last night....."

There was a pause, clearly some guilt that in all the commotion, she'd forgotten to make sure Lio had dinner. Made sense, for she herself hadn't eaten any last night.

"You're gonna have to deal with eating my scraps this weekend. Should be fine, I'll just set some crumbs aside. A simple ham sandwich sound good to you?"

Lio, of course, didn't blame Rachel. She'd done basically everything else, and he had indeed found some dry snacks to keep his stomach from yelling last night. "Sounds good to me, you can never go wrong with the basics."

Rachel nodded and turned around, facing the kitchen counter. As she got the bread and the knife and the ham, Lio just sat on his doorstep and appreciated his new perspective on a view he had seen countless time in the past decade. Wordlessy, he cursed at Ava for suggesting and teasing things involving his sister. Yes, he was acutely aware she was extremely good-looking. She was 11 years older, but looked 5 years older, at most. She was 185cm tall but seemed proportioned to be at least 12cm shorter... which just made her seem even bigger. She was a stunner and they all knew it. But she was still his sister, the person who raised him. He could acknowledge her beauty but that was it, his mind couldn't comprehend seeing her the way most men in this town did. But why on earth did the adult woman still wear such tight shorts around the house? It was a lot harder to ignore her ass when it was a literal pair of moons. Then again, he had seen Ava walk away a half hour prior, and the shorter lady definitely had the "better" ass.

His trance (he kept having them, was this an effect of being Micro?) was broken by Rachel setting down a plate with a few ham sandwiches. The gargantuan porcelain saucer was placed to the side of his MH, so he wouldn't be hidden from his sister's view. Moments later, he felt another quake as Rachel sat down in her chair. The monolithic woman tore off a miniscule amount of ham and set it down near her brother. The same followed suit with a breadcrumb that was, just like the ham, bigger than he was. Lio was proud he wasn't terrified of the speed at which those huge fingertips moved, only to be proven wrong as it came near once again, placing a drop of soda next to his food. Rachel put her "wet" fingertip into her mouth to clean any remaining soda, and raised an eyebrow at Lio's sudden reaction.

"You okay? It was just some soda."

"Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, didn't expect it to come a third time." he answered with a nervous chuckle. He felt those green eyes judging his situation for a second, then relaxed as they softened while she smiled.

"Well, can't have a meal without a drink, can you?" Rachel said, shifting her gaze to her own meal. Ham sandwiches were the most basic thing in the world, the type of stuff a kid would bring in their lunchbox to elementary school. And there they were, the size of an entire downtown area.

That wasn't the most humbling part. That honour belonged to Rachel, grabbing one of the sandwiches with her right hand and casually biting a huge chunk out of it. So much material, gone in a second. Even from far below, it was intimidating to see her mouth open wide, a vast cavern with pristine white "towers" designed only to destroy. Then, after she took a bite, he watched her jaws go up and down as they grinded her meal into paste... before finally swallowing.

It was such a casual display of power, and Rachel didn't even realise. If she wanted to, she could devour thousands of Micros at once and they wouldn't be able to do a damn thing. He recalled Rachel telling him that she used to love spicy stuff as a child, but that changed after getting the SDV... Her heightened senses included her taste, so spices were too strong for her now. Lio wondered if goddessess... No, people, what was his mind doing, making divine entities out of his sister and Ava?... Lio wondered if regular-sized people with the SDV senses could taste a Micro.... and how he in particular would seem like to the women in his life....

His thoughts ended when Rachel looked over, having finished half of her lunch already.

"Come on Lio, it's rude to just watch me eat. You need your nutrients as much as I do. Maybe even more with how much a Micro has to move around.""R-right. Sorry sis, I guess I have simply never seen a mountain eat before."

"You just wait until I decide you're more effective than a toothpick."

"WHAT?"
End Notes:

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a suitable translation to English for "meat between regular bread"? One that isn't that dumb and literal? It's hard, cause a ham sandwich has all this other stuff on it. But I seriously mean only bread and ham.

Sidenote, sorry for the slower chapters. I promise we'll get to some good stuff soon. Next chapter will be after a timeskip so Lio's a little more used to being Micro... and the ladies are more comfortable actually doing stuff.

"For Science!" (Part 1) by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

A chapter in two parts?

Yes. Cause otherwise it would take way too long to get new content out. Besides, most chapters are around the 2000 word mark, would be weird to suddenly have one that's double the length. (Also, smaller chapters means more chapters: Number of chapters get big, big number good, causes happy brain chemicals)

a279;"Ava, that's a terrible idea." Lio said, staring up at his gargantuan best friend.

"Nonsense, I think it's a great idea!~" Ava replied, her smirk growing into a grin, as excited as a small child with ice-cream.

It was Monday morning, around 10 am. The rest of the weekend had been fairly uneventful other than the fact that Ava quit her student-job after finishing on Sunday. In her words, she knew she needed to move on and get a job worthy of her degree… and wanted some vacation before she got into that new chapter of her life. Lio, for one, refused to believe her timing was a coincidence at all. Rachel gladly welcomed the change and promptly told Ava that she was welcome to check in on her brother whenever she wanted. That didn't need to be said though, because she literally had a key.

So here they were, two best friends hanging out like they often did, except now one was a speck compared to the other. Lio was standing in front of his MH, on his desk, and Ava was leaning back in the desk-chair. Summer, well, summer-vacation was nearing its end, but it was still plenty warm to warrant light clothing. Ava showcased this by wearing a thin-striped, red-white t-shirt and comfy black short shorts. Both of the main women in his life had absolutely amazing legs and seemed keen to showcase them when the weather allowed it…. And Lio, like any sane, straight man, was hardly gonna tell them they couldn't. Not like he ever held any authority over either of them, even before he could be overpowered by their eyelashes. If anything, they did the opposite of what he wanted just to mess with him.

Like Ava, right now.

"If Rachel were to find out about this, she's gonna kill both of us, and you know it."

Ava raised an eyebrow and stared at her miniscule buddy. "I gave Rachel every single textbook and syllabus-passage I had that involved Micros. Besides, she has a biology degree, she knows how you guys work, or she fumbled her way through anatomy courses."

The giantess leaned forward, her face becoming his horizon. She seemed to really enjoy being "massive"... Not that surprising considering her personality. "In other words, she knows we're gonna need to test these things at some point. Your choice whether you want your big sis to do it, or your greatest friend.~"

Lio sighed as he looked up at Ava's eye. Singular eye. At this proximity it was impossible to focus on both of them…. The grey-blue "lakes" were dozens of metres apart from each other. "Did you really have to make a double size-joke?" Ava just shrugged. "Alright, look, I'll agree to do this if you tell me the real reason why you want to do this yourself."

"Easy! For science!" Ava replied enthusiastically… a bit too much, in fact.

"Ava, just because you have a degree in rehabilitation sciences doesn't mean you get to hide behind it as an excuse. I'm sure you truly do wanna know how much I can take, but that's not the main reason."

Ava leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms and jokingly pouting. She always did this when she was "offended". And she knew damn well it had a high chance of working on Lio. But to her surprise, he didn't cave.

"Alright fine, I just think it would be fun." she said with the tone one would expect a teenager to use when her parents demanded information.

"You think testing my physical durability would be fun? What oh what did they teach you in university."

"Hey! We both know I've always enjoyed testing you, both physically and mentally. It's why some people thought we were a secret couple in high school, cause I kept sitting in your lap or sitting real close or chose you as a gym partner." she said, her complexion turning just a little red…

Though Lio had it far worse… and knew his massive friend could see it just fine. "Well yeah, but our friendship is just atypical! We're two weirdos… and you're the only one who was willing to get so close to me despite knowing I'd one day be, well, this…"

He gestured to himself, indicating his size. Ava, in response, let one of her stray thoughts loose through her lips. "Tiny and adorable?"

"What?"

"Uh, nothing."

Utter. Awkward. Silence.

"Riiiight."

Like hell there was nothing. Lio knew what he heard, it just confused him. He knew Ava had a certain… affinity for things that were small and cute…. But he never thought she thought that way about Micros. No, not Micros, him specifically. But there was no way that was real. They were friends, best friends, nothing more. There was no way they could go beyond that with their dynamic. Right? Unless….

Lio's thoughts were cut short before they wandered too far by the godlike beauty before him. She cleared her throat, a booming sound akin to an avalanche.

"Anyway, I thought that was clear last week. How many friends squeeze the head of their shrinking buddy between her thighs just cause they felt like it? You oblivious idiot. We were already teens when we met, but we always played strange games with each other. Now that you're a Micro, well, let's just say the possibilities are endless."

As endless as the feminine form that stretched out in front of him, Lio thought. He would be a liar if he said he wasn't curious to explore it up close. Back in senior year in high school and the first year of college, the pair had… fooled around a little. Well, mostly it was Ava fucking around with him, being downright perverted sometimes. But that had died down years ago… Regardless, Lio's answer was able to finish Ava's thought.

"But first, we gotta find out what I can and cannot withstand. Each Micro's a little different and a Newton extra from your side could make the difference between interesting pressure or permanent damage. Okay, fine, I accept your offer."

Ava frowned, as if suddenly aware of how dangerous the power she held could be if she wasn't careful. It was sad to see her doubt herself, but it was also definitive proof she did actually care for her buddy's wellbeing. However, she quickly shrugged her doubts aside, becoming the confident and cheeky woman he knew she was.

"Not that I would ever go that far. But still, nice to know your limits. With a bit of luck you're a sturdy one and I can do everything I want without worrying.~"

“H-how does that make me lucky? That sounds like it would be more your benefit than mine.” Lio replied, having a feeling he already knew the answer. But, when in doubt, ask the gigantic woman you’re talking to.

Ava, being Ava, just sighed disappointedly and rolled her eyes. “If you need to ask, you’re even more of an idiot than I thought. Still, you’re my idiot, and I take care of everything that’s mine.”

Of course, Ava had a feeling Lio knew what she was talking about, he just wasn’t able to accept it, not yet. That’s why she didn’t dwell on it, and instead focused on the fact he had given his permission when talking about how important a “giant’s” self-restraint would be. She stood up from the chair and reached out with her left hand, her dominant hand. The massive appendage touched down on Lio’s MH and casually grabbed the structure between her fingertips. Lio could only watch in awe at the titaness before him, stretching higher than before. His attention was focused on the shorts-clad crotch directly in front of him, then on the fingers touching down behind him. Then he followed Ava’s hand as she grabbed the MH and brought it upwards. She brought it to her face, admiring it for a second (or more likely, admiring how small it was). And lastly, she moved her arm behind her back, and Lio watched as the house disappeared from his view. But there was no mistaking the movements of Ava’s arm, she had deposited Lio’s house into her back pocket, snug against her toned left-cheek.

Lio stared in that direction for a second, then focused his gaze upwards. As expected, Ava’s face was lit with a happy, playful, cheeky grin. To further emphasise her actions, she even patted that asscheek twice. “What? We gotta have that thing with us in case we need it. And what better way to also test its strength than going up against my glutes? Now, time for your first test.~”

Without warning, Ava’s hand moved away from her ass, and towards Lio. She curled her fingers into a fist, except her index finger. Then, as she got closer, Ava slowed down. Lio was focused on the finger looming above him, but he could never ignore the mountain in front of him collapsing as Ava crouched down onto her haunches. Her eyes were now level with him, incredibly focused and determined, though not without her usual playful “sparkle”. A few of her kilometer-long hair strands grazed the edge of the desk. Meanwhile, down below, the Micro House was showcasing just how indestructible it was. It was pressed into Ava’s shorts by her powerful glutes, which tensed-up with her crouch. Basically, a mountain was being pressed against the MH, and it was completely fine. Ava would have smirked when she felt it, if she wasn’t so focused on her miniscule buddy.

“Alright Lio, when it becomes too much, I want you to yell “stooop” as loud and long as you can. Don’t worry about being muffled by my finger, I can hear you just fine. Just think of this as a natural progression of me sometimes dragging you along on a jog or to the gym. Go along without complaining and I’ll even let you exchange a favour whenever you want, whatever you want. Also, you might wanna lay down.”

Lio was about to complain, but the promise of a favour was enough to shut him up. He simply gulped and nodded, and Ava winked to show she saw his confirmation. Then, he laid down on his back and looked up at the gargantuan fingertip looming above him like a meteor. It came down slowly, seemingly becoming bigger and bigger. The closer it got, the more he could see her fingertip(/-print) as the 3D-field it was, rather than the 2D-image people usually saw. It wasn’t like it was a canyonous field, but it was like an uneven lawn with bumps and ridges.

Eventually, the fingertip was all Lio could see. And moments later, he couldn’t see anything anymore as he was engulfed by the uneven yet wonderfully soft skin. Ava worked out, yes, but she also had great personal hygiene. And something told him she had made sure to wash her hands extra thoroughly before she came here, for he could smell a hint of lavender.

“You holding out okay?” Ava’s voice boomed from beyond his “tomb”. He didn’t just hear it, he felt it as well, the finger rumbling a little in tune, as it was attached to what was making those wonderful sounds. Lio didn’t think Ava could ever hear him, but she said she would, so he answered her. “Yeah, I’m fine, can’t move but I can still breathe and talk, somehow.”

“Good. Prepare for increased pressure, little buddy.~” Ava answered, and sure enough, the pillowly finger entombing him began to push into him more and more. It grew more and more uncomfortable, but Lio never felt like he was being hurt. Lio knew Micros were durable, but he never thought they were this durable. He’d always assumed that the lack of a lot of Micro-deaths was either due to people being careful, or there being no proof. But now, he was starting to wonder if it was because they were remarkably harder to kill than one would think. Though, of course, he wouldn’t stand a chance against a giant’s full weight under a hard shoe-sole.

Then, suddenly, the pressure lifted. He took the opportunity to breathe truly fresh air again (it was starting to get rather warm under the 37-degree fingertip). Then, he sat up and saw Ava’s face looming beyond the edge of the desk. He saw the corners of her lips peeking above the edge, she was smiling wide. “I pressed basically as hard as I could. It would’ve cracked an insect’s exoskeleton wide open, but you’re absolutely fine. This is the best possible result, but we’re only just beginning. This was a controlled test, like in a lab. Now come the tests in the field, with more than just a fingertip.~”

“Now hold on Ava, I don’t think Rachel would want me to go outside before she knows herself how safe everything is!” Lio sputtered in protest.

Ava just giggled, a sound so beautiful that its playful intentions were forgiven. “Who said anything about going outside? I’m just taking you to the living room.”

Then, with amazing yet somewhat terrifying speeds, Ava’s thumb and index finger approached Lio’s miniscule frame. Now that she knew she couldn’t squish him with her fingers, Ava felt no need to restrain herself, and casually pinched her buddy between her fingers. She brought Lio to her left eye, lifting her index finger so she could actually see her nigh-microscopic friend on the “pad” of her thumb. “You should trust me more, I’m fully aware Rachel would kill me if I just left with you. Now, let’s go have some fun with science.~”

The index finger lowered again and Lio was once again squished between the two amazingly soft fingertips, all while Ava happily walked towards the living room.

End Notes:

To all the Ava-fans, you're welcome. To all the Rachel-fans, you'll get your fun too, don't worry. To fans of Jasmine (and Lacey), if there even are any already, we'll get to them, eventually.

"For Science!" (Part 2) by Giantbanana
Author's Notes:

Don't you love it when you can't properly write for a week and then suddenly you get a random burst?

More of those bursts please, they're useful.

EDIT: Paragraphs seemed to have scrunched together for some reason. That's fixed now.

There are some things you never expect to experience in your life, so you're not mentally prepared for them. One of those things was to be standing on the ground in the middle of the living room, with two absolutely gargantuan white sneakers standing on either side of him like, ironically, foothills of a large mountain range.

Speaking of the larger mountain range, Ava wasn't wearing her shoes. She was standing in front of her absolutely miniscule buddy. Her black-sock-clad feet were toe-to-toe with her sneakers, which only made Lio feel even more… surrounded.

Another effect of his position was that Lio smelled an interesting… scent washing over the area. It was weird, he knew Ava took great care of herself, could smell she showered in the morning, but he never thought it would be somewhat… pleasant as a Micro. She probably did, she knew way too much about Micro physiology for someone who would always  be "huge". No, it didn't matter she literally held a degree in physiotherapy with an unusual focus on Micros. Well, that's what he told himself anyway, made him feel better about himself.

By-the-by, there was absolutely no good reason for Ava to have fetched her shoes. She had set Lio down on the floor, smiling down at him when standing back up to her magnificent full height. Then, she just left, and when she returned, she was holding her sneakers in her hands with the most devious smile he had ever seen her with (and she was still smiling like that right now). She had gently set them down on either side of him, but they still shook the earth. He didn’t need a test to find out he wouldn’t be safe underneath those rubber soles.

And that’s how the pair came into their current positions. As for Lio’s conclusion on Ava’s reasoning with the sneakers: she did it because it amused her and didn’t harm him. So basically, business as usual.

“Sooo, are you gonna explain what your plan is or are you just gonna be standing there grinning like an idiot?” Lio said, breaking the silence. Not that it was totally silent for him, the slightest twitch in the appendages before him made plenty of noticeable sound. He wondered if Ava could hear it too, given her enhanced senses. If she did, she didn’t show it.

“Tsk, can’t even enjoy myself anymore now? I like being big, and you like looking up at mountain-sized ladies. So why shouldn’t we take a moment to enjoy the view? Besides, you saw Rachel from this perspective when you went Micro. And as much as I like being big, I’ll admit I will never be as tall as your sister, I am curvier though, that’s something.~” Ava replied, putting her hands on her hips and looking very proud of herself. She could have leaned forwards to look at Lio more comfortably, but didn’t, because she clearly wanted to be her “full” height.

“You do realise I’m small, right? That you’re not big? Last time I checked, you have been 175 centimetres since you were 15.”

Ava just rolled her eyes, her smile fading into a slightly annoyed look. It would have been unsettling if Lio didn’t know Ava as well as he did.

“Of course I know that. But it’s a technique to make Micros feel less, well, tiny. If I refer to myself as “big” or “giant” or “massive”, it makes me the unusual one. That way, the Micro patient can feel more normal, which is really important to some. But alright, good to know it’s not that needed on you.”

“You’re still gonna refer to yourself and Rachel as “gigantic” around me, aren’t you?”

“One-nil for the Micro.”

“And you’re gonna do it simply because it’s also fun for you, isn’t it? You wouldn’t mind actually being huge in a small world?”

“Two-nll, but that stays between us two, got it?“

“Yes ma’am. And one last question, you’re trying to distract my mind from the fact you’re about to plop your socked size nine-and-a-half onto my “puny” 0.85 millimetre form, aren’t you? Probably the left one?”

Ava’s wide grin returned, the sparkle in her eyes visible even over three “kilometres” away.
“Guess it didn’t work as intended. Maybe you’re more clever than I ever gave you credit for. Oh well, guess we got off on the wrong foot, now’s time for the right one.~”

Lio would have groaned at how lame that pun was, if it weren’t for the roughly 520 metre long, 180 metre wide, sock-clad right foot lifting into the air as Ava raised her knee a little. Lio never thought Ava’s feet were “dainty” or anything, they were roughly the same size as his had been. But even though they were nothing compared to his sister’s “behemoths”, there was an instinctual fear at something so gigantic moving in the air. No, not fear, he felt no real fear around Ava…. It was awe. He looked as the huge foot soared through the air like the world's largest aircraft, only much much bigger. In fact, the closest analogy he had would be sci-fi cruisers flying in low atmosphere. Like before, with Ava’s finger, Lio decided to lay down on his back already…. He’d rather lay down softly than be knocked down “mercilessly”. When he did that, and looked up, he saw Ava wiggle her socked toes in anticipation. Did, did she hear him lay down? There was no way her hearing was that good, right? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps Ava was just a little too excited about having her buddy underfoot.

Lio wasn’t sure which option was worse at this point.

He also wasn’t sure whether to be happy or concerned when Ava’s toes passed overhead, an indication she wasn’t planning on smushing him beneath them. And sure enough, the foot stopped when he found himself looking up right at the ball of Ava’s foot. He knew what he was looking at, despite the foot being a dark void of fabric, because the ball, the heel and the toes were more worn out than the rest. For that is where a person applies pressure, those points carry someone’s weight, literally. He noted that Ava was moving uncharacteristically slow, which he greatly appreciated. He also knew it had several reasons. One, to make sure he wasn’t hurt somehow. Two, to make him watch and appreciate the view (even if it was just a foot). Three, to make absolutely sure he would be precisely where she wanted him.

And then the sky dropped.

The field of black fabric came closer and closer, like a meteor in disaster movies. The closer it came, the more clearly Lio could see individual threads of fabric. The fact that even the threads were large served as a reminder that Ava wasn’t big, he was just incredibly tiny in a much larger world. Another thing that increased was the scent that came from Ava’s feet. It became more potent, more “penetrating”. It was no longer a background feature, it was being blasted into his nose whether he wanted to or not. But again, it was weirdly pleasant. Like entering a flower-shop except the smell was a mix of Ava’s natural odour, showersoap and light sweat. But all of that became secondary when Ava’s socked foot finally touched down on the floor, and pinned Lio beneath it.

It was so, so much more powerful than Ava’s finger had been. Yes, the weight was more spread out due to the size of her foot compared to her fingertip. But that didn’t matter when the force, her weight, was exponentially higher. And he could tell Ava was barely putting any weight on it, for now. But with every passing moment, the pressure increased as the brunette titaness shifted her balance to be more evenly distributed. Just like before, Lio was able to withstand the force that, logically speaking, should have made him pop like a grape. In Lio’s opinion, Ava’s fingertip had been more comfortable. It had been softer, more akin to a warm embrace. The fabric of Ava’s sock wasn’t particularly unpleasant or rough, but there was simply no beating her skin. It wasn’t moist either, which had been a silent fear of his. He knew it was only a matter of time before his gigantic friend would get to him after a jog or workout, but he would deal with that predicament when it occurred. Another thing that made Ava’s socked foot more annoying than her fingertip: those threads were trying to entangle him like vines in a jungle. The fabric shifted constantly as the pressure increased. Perhaps a normal person wouldn’t think anything of these near-millimetre shifts, but to Lio they were moving entire body-lengths.

Back in the outside world, Ava was rather excited. There wasn’t really a logical reason to enjoy having Lio underfoot, but she couldn’t help it. It was also simply reassuring to feel just how durable her nigh-microscopic friend was. If he could withstand this, she wouldn’t have to worry about his physical wellbeing during their future “fun”. She would also be able to tell Rachel that she didn’t need to worry either, and that she could safely introduce his new “chores”. As for the effects on his mental well-being… she would track those rather intensely, making sure he wasn’t slowly losing it. Ava knew about Micros who didn’t get the right treatment, and the results were widely varied, but all rather concerning from a “healthy” perspective. Some turned inwards and never spoke again, others started seeing normal-sized people as literal gods, or they were treated like pets and acted like ones. The second “possibility” was luckily rather rare with first-generation Micros, but it was a lot more common with second or third-generation Micros: the offspring of a Micro couple, aka those that were never “normal”. Ava had never met a Micro that was that far “gone”, and she hoped she never would. She hoped she could prevent it from happening to any Micro she ever came across, because there was no known case about such a thing being reversed. When the brunette finished her thoughts, she realised she was standing on one leg, the other raised by simply bending her knee. She was worried for a second, but then she felt the faint struggling beneath her foot, and giggled.

“Well, seems you are as durable as one can get. Let’s get you out of there, hmm?”

By the time Lio heard Ava’s voice rumble, the sock-threads had won the battle. He wasn’t fully entombed in the middle of the sock’s fabric, but his wrists and ankles were “shackled” by the huge black ropes. He felt the pressure lift as Ava raised her right foot. A tremor shook him to his very core as that foot scooted backwards and touched down on the top of her scrunched toes. No pressure was on him, but he was very much tied to the enormous footwear and, well, the foot itself.

“Wait, where did you go?” Ava asked in confusion. She didn’t see the speck she expected on the floor, and it made her worry. But given she also didn’t see any mark of… damage (which she would never forgive herself for), she realised where her Micro-Buddy had to be. And she found it to be absolutely hilarious: “No way.~”

Ava slid her right leg on the tops of her toes so it was in front of her torso. Then, the leg lifted and bent at the knee. The brunette grabbed it at the ankle to keep it steady, and to look at the sole of her foot. She did all of this without wobbling even a little, her balance was immaculate. She dabbled in light yoga as part of keeping healthy. And sure enough, she found Lio stuck to the ball of her foot, unable to do anything but struggle and look up at the ridiculously amused face of his gigantic best friend.

“Stuck to me like a piece of dust. Oh how fitting considering how often I dragged you along to certain places and people.”

“Yeah yeah, I get it, you find this hilarious. Just get me out of here. And you better hold your end of the bargain whenever I ask for it!”

“Of course, that’s what friends are for. Now c’mere little buddy, let’s get you off of my mean huge foot.~”

As Lio saw Ava’s fingers coming towards him once more, he found himself realising a large part of rest of his life would indeed be spent clinging to the bodies of titanesses.

End Notes:
Next chapter won't be Ava-focused, she got a good bit of fun these past two. To give you a preview: Rachel will have learned Ava's gathered "data" and act accordingly.
