I can see them slowly sliding into something they can no longer control. And Brian may just be shaping up to be a hell of a character. I'm stuck wondering how much of him is act and how much of it is real. Three days isn't a long time and he might be still overcome with gratitude. But that will wear off. Problems will arise, conflicts of interest, mishaps, all those sorts of things. Between the both of them bending over backwards to accomodate each other that is bound to end up in some clash. They can't stay on that bloody couch forever. Brian can't, anyway. He's not that kind of guy.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reviewing again! Yes, they are definitely headed for some conflict. That's bound to happen in their situation if they plan on living together for a long time. Hopefully they are able to make up if it happens! I hope you continue to enjoy the story.

Well that was adorable and heartwarming.  It's nice to see these two getting along but I also like the questions that were brought up.  Just why was Allison recruited for her job.  Maybe her mentor did sign her up for it because she knew some insider info, like how it can be easily used to make inconveniant people disappear.  People like Brian.  And by recommending Allison, it resulted in at least one executioner who might listen and spare an innocent.  Or maybe not.

As for Allison, I'd be interested to see a return to her workplace.  Maybe she starts branching out her methods and finds, to her surprise, that she actually enjoys it.  Also maybe some more info on the other Chevaliers and their attitudes and methods.  Clearly they seem to be the sort of women who enjoy their work and it would be interesting to contrast the cruel and the gentle parts of the story.

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. There is definitely some mystery regarding Allison's circumstances. Her return to the facility will be in the next chapter! Let's see if her time with Brian has changed her outlook at all. I hope you continue to enjoy the story!

Another fantastic chapter. Funny, I was reading your response to my last review when all of a sudden this one dropped. I'm liking her current goal of getting him flustered. I see her doing some sexual teasing with him, perhaps at some point even a perverted hide and seek. I just don't buy his asexuality. Seems like a front he puts up to keep from getting hurt.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! Funny how timing works out sometimes. It's certainly possible that somebody with Brian's experiences might put up walls to defend themself like that. If the kiss is what leads you to think that, though, I think it's fair to say that a giant kiss would leave most people flustered! I hope you contine to enjoy the story.
