Good story so far, I can relate tp Brian in some ways, someways I can't, I'm not asexual for one. I'm not a big fan of the LOTR franchise, but that has more to due with painful experiences in my life than personal taste.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading, and I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! I feel the same way about Brian. I drew upon a couple aspects of my personality when thinking him up, but for the most part he is very different. And I'm sorry to hear about LOTR for you, since I may or may not continuously reference it throughout this story and the sequel... Regardless, I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

I rarely comment, but I felt like I have to after reading this story as I'm absolutely loving it! Gentle interactions are the best, especially with the interesting chemistry between Allison and Brian. Looking forward to the next chapters! Would love to see more of the gentle stuff and would love to learn more about the truth of the murder.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! I'm really glad that you decided to comment on my story. I really like gentle interactions as well. I think you will enjoy what's to come!

Another great chapter! This story is hands down currently my favorite story on this site. The interactions between Allison and Brian are so incredibly adorable and wholesome that they consistently melt my heart at every turn. Also, I can't begin to describe how inexplicably happy the fact that you made LOTR a plot device makes me. I'm genuinely really excited about where this story is going! I am very interested in continuing to see how the relationship between Allison and Brian progresses (as well as how Allison is gonna get around that whole zero sex drive thing if she ever gets to that stage with Brian, but that's neither here nor there). Keep up the fantastic work!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!! That's some high praise, it made my day to read your review. I'm glad you're enjoying their interactions still. My primary time-spending activity prior to writing this was playing Shadow of War, so I'm on a LOTR kick right now. Figured I might as well incorporate it into the story! I hope you enjoy where it goes from here!

You've certainly nailed the slice of life vibe, and I'm loving it so far. I did not see the asexual angle coming, but that almost makes him a more interesting character. I hope it's as fun writing this as it is to read it. Looking forward to seeing these characters continue to grow - and yes fellow LOTR fan!

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review! Yes, I thought it might be nice to have a reprieve from ethical dilemmas and emotional trauma for some relaxed fluff. Not to say those things are never going to come back, though.

As for the asexual thing, I did it as a way to add another reason as to why Brian doesn't really care that he's small. Something I see a lot in stories is insecurity from the small person since they can't do anything traditionally sexual with their partner anymore. I thought it could be fun to avoid that insecurity with Brian, since he never really wanted to do those things in the first place. I hope people don't think it's out of place in a story like this.

I am having fun writing this! This is unlike anything I have ever done before, and the positive response has been wonderful. The reviews are my favorite part, so I hope I can continue to look forward to yours!
