I have a feeling that Melissa is going to force Sayuko to be a rival "fighting shrinkie" owner (a la rooster fights). And, she'll probably have to comply out of fear for Taro's life.

The most dramatic chapter of the story yet!  The careful planning of the escape, the sacrifice, and now that Thomas is outside, a whole new world of possibilities opens up.  The concern with the water spilling rises a concern though, as if Melissa spiked it with something......anyway....ADD ON PLEASE!

Melissa is definitely not as smart as she thinks she is. Sayuko is obviously a Japanese name. So, technically, the correct disparaging term would have been (and I profusely apologize for this, in advance, btw) "J*p." Or, even more archaically, "n*p!"

The latter was the racist term used by American civilians and servicemen, alike, for both Nisei and Japanese nationals during WWII. Indeed, the word was quite often used by the cast of the b/w 1960's sitcom "McHale's Navy!" Which would explain why one seldom sees reruns of that show, anymore.

Author's Response: Yeah, you're right. Sayuko IS Japanese. And the c-word was the first word that came to my mind when I was writing that part. I had a lot to work on here. @.@

I so love this story, as I've said a bunch of times :P  This is the most comments I've ever left on one story, and it's for good reason ^^

I think Bruce is being way too modest. He's a WAY bigger Bush-itter than the President!

OK story. Some good parts and some not so good.
Keep going. It sounds like it could get better...

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review.

Yeah. I know that this story isn't perfect. As my first GTS story, I know that there's going to be mistakes. But one of my main purposes of writing this story is to improve my skills as a writer.

Re: the flashack? I think you succeeded, admirably. An absolutely brilliant origin!

Whatever it is, in order to escape, you need a cunning plan. A plan so cunning, you can put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

The best way to win at Pokemon actually is to shoot the trainer. I mean, why bother gagging the trainer when you can purchase a gun and if someone asks to duel you in battle, you shoot them and run. And if that Officer Jenny comes along, well all they've got are Growliths. You've got a gun. Guns win.

Before i go too much off topic, nice work as usual. Keep going. I want to see how it turns out (hopefully without everyone dying. Commonplace to read a story where everyone dies. I don't like reading typical stories of defeat)

Only half over, this is a fantastic story and there's apparently much more to come, keep it up ^^

I've always regarded Pokemon as bad. Or, rather, the subgenre of anime that gives all anime a bad name. I mean; let's face it. All you really have to do to defeat a Pokemon is gag its owner's mouth so they can't yell out what superpowers to invoke!

As occasionally happens to Zatanna and Billy Batson over at DC Comics.

The rest of the chapter, though? Awesome! :-)

Author's Response: lol yeah. I don't really watch the anime anymore. But I love the main RPG games. Some of my favorite games ever.

Bruce, Thomas, and the rest have their work cut out for them. Rescuing their comrades is going to require ingenuity worthier of "Hogan's Heroes," rather than LOTG.

I love it when bullies get a dose of poetic justice, in stories like this.

Thanks!
