For Mark to be unknowingly tormented by the nicest of his friends by far, like this. Is brutal irony at it's finest. :) At this point in the story, everything that has been said about Amoe lead me to believe that she's probably the only person at the party who truely still respects him as an individual. So you know darn well that she would be mortified if she knew what she had put Mark through. But with Crystal having decieved her into thinking that mark was enjoying it all. I fear that even if he was to be discovered. That she might his being in her slipper. As all part of some ploy to take advantage of her. :)
But at the same time there is a part of me praying that she will see the situation for what it is and help poor Mark. Because he desperately needs a real friend to look out for him at this point in things.
Fantastic writing as always though. I really love getting to see the events unfold from both perspectives. To give you a sense for how wildly different the characters experiences are.
