He didn't get anyone else to discover his drawings, he got rid of his addition, Courtney acts almost kind to him... he couldn't have been luckier!

I like that Courtney doesn't seem cruel and that she even asks if the Sizac is still working. She's also rather generous in trying to make his time in her shoe comfortable for a bit. Most aren't as generous.
And it is good to know his parents worry about the Sizac wearing off prematurely too.
This was a great short story.

Thanks! All things considered, the people in charge of his punishment at least weren't inhuman and did make considerations about his safety and comfort (to a degree, of course).
