Probably a mix. She may have been the more docile of the twins, but also she's logical enough to know from history that rebelling in this world does not get you anywhere.
And yes, it helps Sally isn't as overtly cruel.

That's an interesting bit of information, i didn't think people of this world cared enough about shrinkers to put out rewards if they go missing. Or return one they find for that matter.
I mean, besides the story with the sister and her brother, it didn't seem like people cared enough about shrinkers to put much effort into finding a missing one.

That would be true probably 90% of the time, however, in this case, Nel's family is looking forward to handling her shrunken with particular pleasure. So they just might be willing to shell out a little to get her back. There also are families that do care for their shrinkers enough to try to keep them safe, as we will see in one of the later stories of this set. But the majority would just shrug and move on.

Super interesting chapter. I really like how Massie's viewpoint on her brother is so distorted that treating him like a human being isn't even conceivable, she's just considering what kind of possession she'll treat him as. And fortunately it's as a treasured and cared for possession, but even within that sisterly love he's still 100% a thing that she owns.

Thanks! That's pretty much the vibe I'm going for with this world. Even the shrinkers who are looked on favorably are incredibly low on the food chain.

It appears in every single story you write. It's not an insult, as your writing is amazing, but you really need to find some synonyms as your descriptions are starting to sound similar. Also, the word 'pillowy' is being used a lot, and 'appendages' (which sounds gross ._.) Just look at your past stories and Ctrl-F "clammy," "pillowy," and "appendages."

Don't know what to tell ya. When you write a lot about the same fantasy, some of those words are going to get reused a couple times between stories. I think it's safe to say I use more of a range than most here.

That's a good comparison. Though obviously Massie sees herself as much less of an equal to him than Becky did.

What a surprise!! lol great chapter! u could have end it here unless there would be a twist to follow. Generaly, I wonder that writers who write gts sibling and having 1 sister/brother ever had a thought about her/his siblings in weird situations like their stories.

I can understand why you'd wonder that. For me, though, my interest isn't in the sibling relationship itself, but in seeing characters try to work through the mentality of something so taboo in addition to the emotional duress of being shrunken. It makes it more interesting for me and I think adds tension.
