I like I think you should continue. The interaction between the aunt and nephew seems realistic without going too over the top. Maybe have a few more unaware interaction like she has to go to woke and take him with her and they get separated that way.

Seems like a good storyline. If you add longer chapters, than the quick short chapter. You may have a more successful story than you think. Plus you can still put plenty of cliffhangers in a longer chapter. So Don't worry about that.
