You sure made up for lost time!

I loved the three-for-all between Pyrrha and the other two cat-monsters. Reminded me of the daikaiju clashes I used to watch on Old Channel 9, out of NJ, every Thanksgiving weekend!

But, what I loved even more was Gerard having to eat his words, for once. There might, indeed, be "some truth" to them. But, let me hasten to point out that that simply means there is no truth to _all_ of them.

Wham! I'm not surprised that monsters are former humans - we were beginning to see that with Flonne. But it was a surprise to find out that Pyrrha was someone Samantha knew well. Now it's starting to look like we'll see Pyrrha talk and act like a human, and if Pyrrha recovers her memories, they'll have to come to terms with their old friendship.

As for Jacob, my concern now is that he'll get overconfident and falter in the future, or even get killed. Having said that, he fought like a magnificient badass today.

This chapter is the absolute highlight of Act II for me! Amazing stuff, especially considering how pissy I was that the chapter wasn't a continuation of last chapter with Aviel...

The battle sequences with this chapter were very well written, I could imagine what was going on to a crystal-clear picture! I almost felt like I was watching a movie in my head while reading this...

It was crazy that everything that COULD go wrong, seemed to go wrong this chapter but somehow they scrapped by. And Jacob was a complete badass this chapter, no ifs and buts about it, he deserves all that praise and more!

And lets not forget the other super-star of this chapter: Pyrra! Not only was she intelligently following orders whilst simulataneously making her own judgement calls (finishing off that bitch near the end), but DAT ending!

Leeme add too that I really feel like Catgirls have the potential to be incredibly powerful, almost rediculously so, with a little strategy and intellect. I'm kinda nervous thinking that Pyrra was JUST an earlier prototype of the smart catgirls.

Not gonna lie, I kinda expected it to a degree, with the whole Fionne stuff in the first act, but nevertheless, it was a showstopper of a revelation! Especially considering Samantha seemed to know this person!

Also, this chapter highlights the typical Society members overestimation of their own abilities, (they really are just overgrown bitches with fancy sheilds), the two giant gals this chapter were just asking for it!

To me, it really seems that the TRUE danger of a giantess is not their size but the fact that they have those sheilds, if it wasn't for those, even a single resistance member with some good rockets could take one down! I really think what the resistance needs to focus on is getting past those sheilds, once they're gone the giantesses are really just large, easy to hit targets for rocket launchers and the like...No shrinking tech needed.

Now as for Sanders and the rest of them...I'm actually a little nervous that you gave us this huge victory while leaving the others for another chapter. And making Jacob actually likable this chapter...ugh. I'm getting chills. You're not planning of killing off Sanders and replacing him with Jacob now are you?

To say that I'm nervous about Sanders and them, is an understatement...Anyway I'll leave it at that. Great chapter Z. This one was nothing short of a masterpiece!

It might just be me but I think I would have been happier if Jacob actually sacrificed himself instead of surviving. He may be a "hero" but he's still a shitstain that has yet to own up for what he did. This is why he's never going to be better than Sanders despite having the same accomplishments. I don't know if it was your intent to show how the two characters handle being a hero with blood on their hands.

Anyway, epic twist at the end. Don't know why I didn't think the Society would make cat girls out of normal people as well.
