Ah was confused by the Erica/Emily thing until I read the comments, I see it's been edited since I read it too. Really loving the many new characters and the connections between them. I think the only isolated characters so far are Greg and Ramona.
On Mary being more open I believe lack of sleep and a very scary brother might have a hand in that.

Ramona from chapter 2 is the little sister Mary had considered calling in chapter 3 so there's a bit of a connection there as well. As for the Erica/Emily thing let's all pretend that didn't happen. And if your the type of person who says NO! Erica now exists for the few hours she was in the story i as the author decree that Erica is just Emily in a parrallel universe where everything is exactly the same as this one except that her name is Erica and on that very day she went and got it legally changed to Emily. Now everything's solved. :)

Loving this series.
Very fun chapter, I really like how your elevated characters aren't overtly evil (except maybe Emily in chapter 3). They're just a little full of themselves, which is more than enough to make the non-elevated's lives pains in the ass.

You have no idea how important this comment was to me. You know why? I accidentally renamed Emily from chapter 3 Erica! Which is only okay it you don't give a shit about continuity. So yeah Emily from chapter 3 this is her family....suprise? Anyway thanks for the comment and I hope my mistake didn't ruin the story for anyone....Also I'd like to think Walter's a bit of a jackass, but who knows maybe he's just misunderstood and needs the right women to come along and change him.

You could spin this chapter off into its own story. Teenage years are hard enough, but to be part of a shrinking minority or normal people could make it harder. It might be nice to see his school life or hanging out with friends. Maybe he has a normal girlfriend that elevates suddenly and having to deal with the awkwardness of relating to each other or deciding whether to continue the relationship or not. But regardless, these stories are pretty good and you should definitely continue.

We will be returning to Tyler soon and see what it's like for him at school. Maybe he has a girlfriend maybe he doesn't? Maybe he has a crush on an elevated girl? Maybe an elevated girl has a crush on him and can only show it buy bullying him so he doesn't move on to a normal girl? Who knows. I could see this as kind of a spin off but I'm afraid I might run out of ideas. We'll see. Anyhow thank you for the comment.
