Author's Response: Well, I discovered--at, literally, the last minute--that there really _was_ a Phillips Oil Company. So, to avoid getting sued (just in case one of their executives was a closet macrophile), I changed the name of the now _totally_ fictional company.

I guess I didn't read it closely enough to spot any real differences in chapter 6.
Clawed hands? Reminds me of Spidey saying to Wolverine in a 1990s cartoon "Have you ever thought of seeing a manicurist about those things?"
