Wow, what an excellent story so far. For your first piece of writing this is really good. Great use of imagery and I'm eagerly anticipating what is going to happen next. Finding hard to see how you're going to reveal, if at all, the mystery messenger, but very impressed keep it up.

Thank you very much, yes I struggled at first also about how I could reveal the messenger but I think I have an idea.
