I'm curious as to how Alexis would come to the conclusion that it was the same Rachel given that there are lots of people called Rachel and Lee doesn't know her surname. Must be a small world...

Tis true. The world is small. And the fact that he happened to escape at the school, where Alex only knows one Rachel, supported that fact.
