Author's Response: I decided to split up the two story lines, by making the Hopkins Expedition the focus of a sequel. Occurring simultaneous to this story, but much further west. It might be a while, though, before I post chapter 1 of that opus. In the meantime, there are one or two more chapters of this one, still to go. So, stay tuned! ;-)

You managed to surprise me. I thought the end of the story was many chapters away. Glad to see the bad guys defeated.
