Well almost no such thing anyway. I think Heaven and the new earth will be free of snakes.

Great reference to Job too.

Author's Response: Well, to expand on what said to Mr_G? When I was a high schooler, in history class, I always wondered why nobody had made a move against Hiter prior to the invasion of Poland in Sept. of 1939. It wasn't until I took Psych 101 in junior college that I had a possible answer. Wishful thinking! That is; the Dpression-era leaders of the world must've truly believed they could prevent (rather than delay) a second world war by appeasing Hitler. In which case, they were only lying to themselves.

Intresting legend on how the lake was formed.

I think Mr. Draconicov has good intentions but is dreaming if he thinks humanity will ever give up war.

Author's Response: Yeah, I thought you might like that gts-snippet. :-) As to the more serious discussion; I couldn't agree with you more! True, I'm preaching from hindsight. But, that doesn't change the fact that the ones who tried in vain to appease Hilter, during the late 1930's, were evidently motivated by their wishful thought to keep WWI literally the "war to end all wars."
