It's been awesome watching you mature into one of the best writers this fetish has ever seen, and doing it through this story.

Thanks for sharing this and all your other stuff, Jack.

Author's Response:

Aw shucks. Means a lot. Thanks for reading/reviewing.

Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been with this story from almost the beginning. The long, long, long ride was well worth it. I don't believe there will ever any other story like this here again.
Like any great book I've read, I was heavily invested in the characters and I'm truly sad to say goodbye to them. Well done!

Author's Response:

Thanks for sticking with it for so long; I'm glad you enjoyed the ending.

That's crazy that this story is over. I didn't think the whole end was that great. But still love this story.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading/reviewing.

Lol had to go and check my first review because I didn't believe the 4yrs but damn...
This has been one hell of a ride Jack and I thank you for all the ups and downs.
There were definitely times when I thought I couldn't take it. What with the violence and Julia in general but I'm so glad I did. That ending was worth and had to brush back a few tears when they laid Beth, Anna and Goodwin to rest. That was a powerfully moving scene with the way you described sweet little Faith being so reverent was very endearing.

I really appreciate you ending it like that. Spoke to me on a personal level.

aaron
PS also when Brian showed Anna's parents their granddaughter to somehow fill the void left by Anna, well lets just say I had something in my eye there too.

Author's Response:

Glad to hear you found the ending impactful. I tried my best to give all these characters a restful end after all I put them through in this story. Thanks for sticking with it even if the material was grimmer than your preferences.

Another story convinced me to stop lurking and make an account: while I'm at it, I may as well give this story, which I've been reading for quite some time, a long-overdue review and five-star rating. Well done, Jacksmith.

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks for that, it's much appreciated. Glad you liked the story.

A beautiful ending and I've made it through longer stories(some of which are -still- going) and it makes you really feel for the people involved be it alive or dead.

Also I was right on something pretaining to the teletech story you wrote but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it.

Author's Response:

Thanks man! Good to hear the interlocking pieces of my stories are making some sense as well.

Great epilogue, i love that they all ended living together. Makes sense, they are the only ones that can understand each other after camp Julia.

And it's not surprising that Julia's parents would threaten to sue, but it's good to know they could do much against our heroes.

Author's Response:

Thanks for reading and all your past commentary! I imagine Julia had to be at least partially a product of her upbringing, so her parents probably aren't very friendly either.

Congratulations on bringing this epic story to a conclusion. It's very satisfying just to see a very long story actually end (the end of Titan: Exile was the same way), the events that ended this story were also very satisfying, and the whole story was a fine psychological thriller.

The the most interesting thing about your recent writing, though, is not the stories by themselves, but the larger world you're building. I passed over Time Out and Toy Teacher at first because I don't normally do that stuff, but I read them when it became clear that they're part of a story I want to follow. The only thing that ended here is Julia herself. Techilogic and its buddies still have a lot to do.

Also, "there was a lot of her to cover" from Shrink Act Files definitely doesn't refer to Julia now.

Author's Response:

Thanks very much! And I'm glad to hear the overarching world has drawn you in. Techilogic will indeed remain a very real threat even if Julia has been downed here. I try to make my individual stories accessible so no one is required to read all my stuff to understand it, but I like to think there are certain benefits to having all the information. And you're correct that SAF's ending wasn't referring to Julia.  ;)

I'm not sure if I was aware of Giantess World back in 2011, but the curious fact is that even if I had been aware of the site back then, I probably would have taken one look at the tags and/or synopsis for Julia and given it a pass.  At that time, I had a much narrower appreciation of size-fantasy, and I had already seen plenty of underdeveloped psychotic giantesses tormenting tinies without care or nuance.  If any of my fantasies had featured "evil" giantesses, I typically wanted a "gentle" giantess to intervene (and triumph).

Since then, however, I have reflected deeply on where my desires might come from and allowed all sorts of ideas to surface.  I have also been exposed to talented creators in the size-fantasy community (I still marvel at how far we've come and how many interesting people have popped up), and this has really broadened my tastes.

I think I first took a good look at Julia sometime in 2014, after I first tried my own hand at writing size-fantasy stories and was looking around for other examples of thoughtful writing. The story came highly recommended, and I went back to the beginning and was immediately drawn in. The connection between horror and eros is well-understood, but it was oh so gratifying to see it applied to size-fantasy.  Being held in the hand of a giantess can be viscerally arousing, and it can be sickeningly terrifying.  In Julia, you showed how it could be both at the same time.

Thank you for picking this back up and seeing it through, although as someone who has spent months thinking about his own characters, I imagine you could hardly abandon Jack and Julia after investing years in them.

Your writing is a spectacular example of how complex-yet-consistent characters, tight plotting, smart dialogue, and evocative-yet-subtle imagery can ring the cherries even if one's favorite fetish tags aren't represented (although if you want to throw an insertion scene into The Freshman, I won't complain).

Author's Response:

Aw, shucks. Thanks so much for your thoughts on this. I'm glad to hear it had that kind of effect. I've had a lot of fun putting Julia in the special macro-themed gray area between sexy and scary. I'm not sure Peter would be particularly appreciative of having "insertion" tagged onto his story, though...

I agree with Carycomic it's great achivement to finished a 76 chapiters long story no matter fantastic a story is (and it's great one) over 2 years old. It demands will and passion! Bravo.

I know I count myself privileged to have stuck with you and this story for 75 chapters. Indeed, I feel doubly privileged because you actually _finished_ your epic! As opposed to starting out with an intriguing premise, but then running out of steam and just leaving it permanently unfinished on the increasingly unlikely pretext that you might "someday" return to it. Good authors _always_ finish what they start. And, to keep the large fan base you've had over these past four years (over 400 reviewers and almost HALF A MILLION! lurkers) proves, to me, that you...

...are a great author.

Author's Response:

Thanks for sticking with it for so long. No matter how long it takes, I always finish my works (same goes for The Freshman, someday).

I've actually only been reading on this site for about 8 months now, and only picked up Julia right before Jack confronted her in the end, and I was so mad because I couldn't read the end. Every two days since July started, I've come onto the site to see if this had been updated. I'm thankful that I stuck around, and I hope that you continue with your other works and make them as amazing as Julia. Though, it is sad to see them go, which is why I sometimes hate reading. Enough rambling, this deserves to be the top story on Giantess World. The adventure, the sadness, the humiliation, the EVERYTHING that this story offers is amazing, and it's sad that not every person in the world has read it. Overall, good on you Jack, and I hope that you continue it's your other works with just as much ferocity as Julia.

Like any good monster Julia isn't dead till you've thoroughly murdered her with all the firepower the army, navy, air force and marines could muster.

Good show all around, shame she won't live to meet Carly but I'm sure once they both slide into hell there will be a story there to tell.

I love you; no homo

Great job.  You delved into the psychology of your characters brilliantly, and your writing is clearly professional-grade. I've said it before, and I mean it: I hope you find a writing career in your future, if you haven't already. Not necessarily erotic fiction, but whatever you choose. I'd read it.

On a side note, it would've been great if Julia just ended up ruling the universe.

Author's Response:

Haha. Oh you're makin' me blush. I'm rapidly approaching the point in my life where I'll need to choose a career, and I do hope writing is a part of it. Thanks so much for reviewing!

*Reads Chapter End Notes* ...DAMN YOU, SMITH AND YOUR ADDICTIVE WRITING STYLE!
