I'm utterly appalled that Jack's suffering has the possibility to have yet to cease. Poor guy deserves a rest more than anyone else. I do wonder how Family Reunion comes into all this, that work is one of my favorites.

Author's Response:

Jack will get a little rest in Blackmail 5, but there's gotta be some conflict or it wouldn't be a story. I may eventually give Family Reunion context in the series; the only thing that can be inferred now is that it takes place prior to the end of Blackmail 3, since none of the characters knew size-changing was possible. Thanks for reviewing!

You have a very intriguing story, characters I can connect to, a three dimensional protagonist, actual drama, shocking twists, questioning morality and sanity, suspenseful thrills and a villain you can fear. WAIT, THIS IS PORN!?

Author's Response:

Thanks! I admit a lot of the recent stuff has been less pornographic, though the climax of the story will involve more up-close-and-personal interaction with Julia again.

Ah, so Jack would still have to wait awhile,  maybe even years,  until the PMRD is an option for him?

Author's Response:

Right. This is something that will be made clearer in Blackmail 5.

Now that i think about, if Blackmail happened in the same universe as the shrink act, does that mean that Jack's parents used the PMRD to give jack his full size back? Hell, i can even see Techilogic using such a thing to give themselves some good PR, especially since the public seems to be sypathetic towards Jack.

I'm also thinking that it was really lucky for Jack that Carly was shrunk before the whole thing went public, otherwise Techilogic might have kidnapped him. Then again, taking Carly was likely easier for them, few people would care about a criminal disappearing after all.

@AdamX: I don't know, as great as a villain Carly was, i always felt Jack deserved his happy ending, especially since he fought hard for it. But that's me.

Author's Response:

In answer to your other review: you're right that Carly doesn't know the chemical formula, so Techilogic wouldn't have wanted her for that. I won't say anything more, though, since some of that will be shown in a later story.

Now for this one, it's a good thought, though Blackmail actually takes place prior to the invention of the PMRD, so even after Jack is saved, there's still not yet a way to put him back to normal. Glad to know you think Jack deserved a happy ending!

I always thought Julia/Blackmail and possibly Family Reunion all happened in the same time frame give or take but it's cool to get a glimpse of where the next chapters of the former might be headed.

That said while I wanted Carly to win in blackmail I am full sale cheering for the group here to overthrow Julia.

Author's Response:

This is the first time in my stories I've directly acknowledged where Blackmail and Julia sit on the timeline in relation to one another; Family Reunion does take place in this world, though as of now I haven't given any confirmation of when it happened. And yes, this was meant to offer just a small tease of where Blackmail 5 may go.

That's interesting.  I wonder what Technologic did with Carly then. Since everyone thinks she's in prison, i'm guessing they didn't just let her go free.

They experimented on her maybe? It couldn't be to ask her about the shrinking process, since Jack and his cousin were the ones that knew the details of how to shrink someone. I mean, otherwise Carly would have shrunk more people.

Goood job sir, you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention!

So, Julia is the daughter of Carly Arton...and her own brother?!

"EWWWWWWWWWW" doesn't even begin to cover it.

Author's Response:

That would be quite the twist, though fairly unlikely, as Julia's parents are well-known, affluent lawyers, while the Artons whereabouts are unknown by this point.

if I get it right : Techilogic had already a shrinking formula so they hired Goodwin to make PMRD. After that, Goodwin discouvered Carly (truth which is not fully reveled) and they tried to kill him. Seeking revenge Goodwin decided to jailbreak PMRDs then sell them in black hoping a new bigger scandale. but he Ended up shrunk by julia. Am I right?

Author's Response:

You're basically right, yes. Techilogic did not actually have a working formula, but they did know about what made Jack shrink, and they had Goodwin design the PMRD. They tried to kill Goodwin because he knows something about Carly but also about the people in Techilogic.

The guy who invented the PMRD? Heh, one could almost say him getting shrunk  is karma.

What goes around comes around!

Quite the twist which leads me to believe our little sadist is higher on the evil foodchain than Carly or even Judy...

Author's Response:

Fair consideration. Neither Carly nor Judy have murdered someone before, unlike this particular little sadist.

Wonderful chapter, with a fast update. Which did catch me by surprise. Wow living for 3 years in the wall. Might as well go back to Julia.

Author's Response:

Hehe. Well, to be fair, there are quite a few terribly hellish ways to live that would still be better than being with Julia.

I already read (and enjoyed) A Little Blackmail complete series and just leaft through The Srhink Act Files but can't remember who this guy is. Although, I have a bad feeling about Brian, Kelly and Jack situation. I don't know why but I think this PMRD guy may lead them to Julia back again...not sure at all about trusting him.

The plot gets even more exciting!! Kee up the great work!! :) :)

Author's Response:

It's ok to not remember - the connection to this story is a small one, though it will make some of what's coming soon clearer. And you may be right to not trust this guy. Brian, Kelly, and Jack certainly won't.

Holy moly, Goodwin trapped 3 years at julia's ! I read Shrink files act not littled blackmail  (incest is no-go zone for me). I hope that next chapter explain the conspiracy plot!

Author's Response:

Shrink Act Files will be more helpful to have read than Blackmail anyway, so that'll be fine. There will be some answers to all this coming up soon.

Bad play, Art.  Brian's got a lot of frustrated rage pent up, and when he realizes A) Goodwin hasn't been able to escape himself for three years, and B) Goodwin has probably been aware of their entire captivity and didn't do anything to help until now...

Author's Response:

Hehe. "Frustrated rage" may be an understatement, as the next chapter will show. There's definitely some explaining to be done.

Yeah, that's true, it would be a high risk. Anyways, I enjoy your stories no matter if they end up good or bad for the main character ;)

Author's Response:

Thanks. There will probably be plenty of both good and bad by the end of this thing.

Wow!!! what a slasher man, this is getting seriously thrilling

I bet they'd manage to get to Ms. Coleridge without Julia knowing it and make a parallel plan with her, although I like this cat-mouse play that the story has become, it makes every move more interesting.

Keep the good work up!!

Author's Response:

Good thing to consider. It's true that they might be able to get the woman's attention without Julia knowing, but they still run the risk of her doing away with her hostages if she gets suspicious. There's a chance, but it's still a big danger.

This might be your best cliffhanger yet! Looking forward to how this one gets resolved or further drawn out...either way I'm waiting lol.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Hopefully some of the future cliffhangers I have coming for this story can top it...

Now the real fun begins, as Jack, Kelly, and Brian struggle individually and collectively about what to do next.  Julia doesn't even have to appear or say anything more for these three to start tearing into each other.

Author's Response:

Yep, she's still in full control of them all, even if she can't physically touch them just yet.

So it was the natural acoustics of the air vent that almost gave them away. Brilliantly subtle! I also--grudgingly--love Julia's bittersweet counter-plotting. She identifies a source of unexpected hope for them (which they, themselves, understandably forgot). Yet, she simultaneously bars them from it with the heavily implied threat.

Author's Response:

Julia's all about cutting off hope before it has a chance to even register.
