That's so sad. Why didn't they talk to her? There could definitely be more detail in this chapter, espcially description of her surroundings.

With what I had intended, was that in chapter 3, she'd need to wake up, so naturally, I needed her to black out in chapter 2. But this was the only way I could think of that would fit with chapter 3.
