It's so rare that I read and like a long-form or slow burn story on this site. Normally I come for the action. But I find myself completely enamoured by the characters and their interactions. The story just gripped me, I read through it in two days.

Been really enjoying this. Giggled a little at Amazon™ Rainforest. Wouldn't say no to a Sash rampage or 2. Love people realizing they're screwed when a woman larger than they can imagine shows up. Maybe a little world domination. Chloe could come around. More foolish threats for Sash to handle in cruel ways or something.

Thank you :) once things settle down I'm going to try to reestablish some real antagonists again, and I think building towards world domination would be interesting. I want to avoid doing too many "two people in a room" chapters.

no, although I could see how it could be interpreted that way in this chapter; I'll make a few changes to try to clarify that. She just suffers from a lot of emotional turmoil as a result of her upbringing, and I wanted to show that she is starting to develop healthier responses to those situations.

Wow, Sasha's a civil engineer now. Reminds me of how disappointed I was when SACO didn't offer to let Sasha help with law enforcement in their "more favourable deal".

Thank you :) For the "Use available local authorities to resolve problems" directive, any real request would likely have been proxied to SACO. By minimizing options for direct contact they reduce risk to themselves and keep Sasha in a state of uncertainty (I think, at least). Sasha wouldn't let other people resolve her problems regardless though.

She could probably get away with doing that to strangers, but anyone connected to Chloe would be subject to additional scrutiny in a way that makes it risky.
