I think Cortesia should have a real thing for Petit that she didn't admit to anyone and now that he is gone, she should get REALLY obsessed to get him back at any cost. Might make for a good villain or maybe even not once she catches him.

Cortesia, did a really shitty thing for keeping that letter from petit. Why did she do it besides "it would be his downfall?" She has a complicated love thing for him? Or am I wrong?
Author's Response:
I wrote it with the intent that it would be her saying she elevated him to her level and that he’d be throwing his new status as the princess’ main servant away. I think that was a bit of a dud on my part because I had never mentioned her thinking that before when I should have.
Still, there was a point in the story where Cortesia was supposed to be a love interest, but I didn’t like it so 2inch and I decided to scrap it. If you like the character though, we might write a sort of alternate ending to get more interaction with her.
