Great we have another meeting with Annie.

It is interesting to see those in the conference room out of control with fear and wanting to make rash decisions based on the fear they are feeling. This brings to mind how our world works when confronted with an obstacle we seem to have difficulty controlling.

The emotions Annie feels in the conference are valid. When you can feel the people, you are trying to protect are the ones that are fearful of you and seem to have turned their backs on her is frustrating for sure.

Now to see Annie/Gullivette at work her methods may be unconventional but effective. A very good chapter revolves around Annie.

Interesting how even the stress O’Dias was under, he still lied about the location of Avaramix’s headquarters. This seems to hint he is more afraid of Avaramix than he is of Gullivette. He must be trying to give himself more time to find a proper escape.

As always, I am looking forward to the continuation of this arc of the story. I give you props on being able to keep up with each story and consistently making it an easy transition between them. You have built an immersive world where the reader is kept wanting more.

Although me being selfish and would love to see these chapters every day I do understand you need time to rest and reenergized or you could end up burned out.

Thank you for sharing this great story with us and keeping us on the edge of our seats.

Author's Response:

My biggest challenge so far was getting into a position to start the development of Annie as a character in preparation for the obvious and eventual reunion between her and Jacob.

When I plotted the first volume, it was mostly just unveiling the main cast of characters and slowly showing the reader the contrast of personalities, motives and direction the plot may go.

Now that we are in volume 2, the major shift is how everything begins to unravel. With Blaire now on the path of discovery, how much longer can Jacob keep his secret from her?

With Benjamin having infiltrated the experiment lab, what sort of consequences will he face?

With Jacob's view of Liz and her soon to be fate, and Ben captured yet again, is her fate sealed and doomed to end in the belly of Deita?

Will Annie be able to prove her worth as more than a destructive force of nature? After getting O'Dias to speak at all, will it lead her to salvation and ensure the survival of her task force that she views as family?

And what about when Jacob and Annie meet? Are they enemies? Friends? Acquaintances? It's clear that because of their past and connection to one another, there seems to be large motivation on both ends that they seek to find each other eventually.

As we approach chapter 10 which will be the mid volume climactic, I cannot wait to unveil the next phase of the story as we start to really get into the thick of it.

Thanks for reading!
