This was a great transition piece,
Jinshin and Ben are becoming my favorite so far among the characters in this story. Although we are early in the story, I feel they are creating a connection. Looking forward to seeing this evolve.
You can feel the tension in the room between Deita and Jinshin. You can since there is some history, we are not fully aware of yet. Hopefully we can delve into that later as we move through the story. I get the feeling there may be more to Jinshin just cherishing Ben because he was a gift. This shows how she defends him when Deita portrays her perverted side and asks for him to be given to her.
Jinshin Defends Ben in a manner you would not expect for someone who just cherishes something just because of it being a gift. I sense he is more than a gift to her hopefully, we can see how this manifests itself through the upcoming chapters.
It is interesting to see the two side by side interacting with Avaramix Jinshin is most definitely more respectful in her tone calling him “Master” (possibly her culture) than Deita is by her calling him by his name. Although they both are respectful in their demeanor towards Avaramix Jinshin just comes across as meeker.
I was pleasantly enlightened by the mention of experiments resuming. This is a turn in the story I was not expecting but am excited for.
Deita’s reaction to the news was what I was expecting due to her personality and there seems to be a rift forming there between her and Jinshin if the apology is not accepted as I don’t expect it to be.
Taking her anger out on Liz just solidifies the Sadistic personality Deita has and why I don’t think there will be any forgiveness toward Jinshin anytime soon. Deita is a self-centered individual and will try anything in her power to take control and punish those she feels has wronged her.
I get the feeling we may see Ben and Liz meeting up in the future. I’m just hoping he takes the kindness Jinshin is showing him to heart and allows there to be a relationship and not ruin it in any way. We will see how this works out.
Great chapter and looking forward to the next one.

I'm glad to hear it. The story will be taking necessary evolutions because I want to start expanding on the premises established in this first volume. I've spent time meticulously deciding how to push forward each character, and what sorts of personalities would be most intriguing as a reader. I'm trying very hard to take this story seriously, despite some of my ideas for later on potentially being a bit out of the realm of realism, there's so much I look forward to unveiling as the story resumes.
I've chosen to highlight more scenes to expand on Deita and Jinshin, and feel as if I've accomplished this well for the first volume. Now we will be shifting back to Blaire and Jacob, to get their side of things. I'm very much looking forward to releasing the last chapter of the first volume.
