Decent chapter.

Bigots hate being called out on their bigotry more than anything else so good job showing that. Jeannine is really naive. She should have know better after the club incident.

Author's Response: It's tempting to label people. Everyone has the capacity for change, it's just a matter of willingness to try. Bigot or not, at least she's at least decent enough not to harm him.

Wonderful chapter. I guess it's natural. Morality is something really difficult to perceive when looking at it from all its shades. If we place ourselves in context, the trauma is too much to overcome. We're talking about a person who literally watched everyone he loved die in a second by the same being that later ate his kind. I don't know why, Jeannine, knowing all the pain that Nick felt, made a decision to put MG in her care.

So it's only natural that the town is scared for her after suggesting that Jeanine destroy it to be safe. But Nick's is another story.

If Jeanine doesn't act as some sort of mediator, it's impossible for those two to at least get to tolerate each other. Neither of them relents on their perspectives but I think fundamentally the apology should initially come from Sara. Still I don't think that's enough. Is Nick so naive as to think that Sara's apology means anything in the face of the horrors he experienced? Please, that won't ease the pain he's feeling.

It's hard to move on under those circumstances, dude. Nick lives a trauma that Sara does not suffer at all. In fact, the guy sees Sara as the embodiment of the same species that destroyed his life and would do it again if they weren't protected by Jeannine. It's hard to get empathy, support, or even forgiveness here. Let's see how the author manages to blend these two to a certain extent. Maybe Jeannine will help a little, huh? :)

Wow, I'm already causing spoilers again, xd

Author's Response: You raise some excellent points, kenrios. Great analysis of the chapter, honestly! This issue will definitely not be wrapped up in a chapter or two. I hope you'll follow it as it develops. Expect the unexpected from everyone involved.

I'm no kidding: this is the best size-related story I've ever read! And I read al lot of it!

I love the size differences and the two main characters most of all!

Author's Response: That's so kind of you! Thanks!

Great chapter!
Very interesting to see if this encounter between Nick and the professor will change relations between the two sizes going forward. The professor seemed surprised that Nick is as much of a person as any of her other “students”,  and she was obviously much more concerned for his wellbeing than she was letting on.
Perhaps, with her connections to the university/powerful people, this will be the catalyst for some sort of revolution … I certainly hope so;  would make for an excellent climax to the story.
Keep up your great writing!

Author's Response: Thanks! Interesting idea... Can't say if it's correct or not. You will have to wait and find out :)

Whew...

Sorry I've been spamming the review section a bit, but this has been a wild ride. Just finished all the chapters currently released (up to 40) and it's been a really emotional journey.

I really appreciate how you seem to take onscreen tiny deaths as seriously as a non-sizey author would take the deaths of human characters, it'd really ruin it if tinies were just dying left and right like in every other story on this website... I really love your writing, thanks for releasing something this high-quality for free :)

Author's Response:

It's fine. Leave as many as you like.

Thanks so much! I am happy that others enjoy what I do. It certainly isn't easy ^^'

Chapter 34, and I really appreciate the governor bringing those things up! It's something I think about a lot, and I really appreciate you as an author for having the the ability to address such concerns in your story!

Author's Response:

I had to address the elephant in the room. I mean, if not J or Nick realizing the issue, someone had to! It's all part of the worldbuilding/realism.

Welp. I'm on edge again. Still an excellent story, but hooooly shit... I would totally break down after seeing what her mom was like, Jeannine is a stronger person than I

Author's Response:

I hope it didn't stress you out too much!

Normally I can't read these "tiny city" stories, they always just keep me up at night from nervousness, but... this one is oddly refreshing.

I want to protect the tinies- or, "Lillis" in this case- and my nerves are just too much for me, always feeling nervous about what'll happen to the tinies.

I've been nervous about the classic "friend that's visiting finds the tinies" chapter, but the way Jeannine handled it was exactly how I would, it relieved SO much of my anxiety. It's over, and nothing bad's happened...

I'm sure you'll find many more ways to keep us on the edge, but I feel like I can finally relax a little. Thank you, this chapter was oddly comforting. I can't wait to see how Jeannine's attempt to get into that club goes!

Author's Response: I'm happy that it resonates with you. I was in the same boat, worried about all of the 'tiny city' stories. My worries were almost always confirmed when the giantess inevitably hurt them in some way. Casual cruelty is not something I enjoy, in fiction or in real life. I try to make my characters act realistically, as any decent person would.

very nice update, you had me on the edge of my seat there with that last section, and even more so with Nick's fate 😅

one thing, maybe I'm just doing it wrong, but the patreon link doesn't seem to work, it just takes me to a page saying you aren't subscribed to anyone.

Author's Response: Thanks :D I hope you enjoy the second part next week! Oh, I hadn't realized. Thank you for bringing that to my attention. Here, this should work: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=79288680

What a cliffhanger to leave on. Almost literally! Poor Nick's a long way from home now...

Author's Response: It's the first time Nick has been in real danger since the beginning of the story. Let's see how he finds his way out of this...

Hey! It’s me again, I had another question. This time on the world of Magna Gratia. Since it takes place in the world of Gulliver. What happened to the Lilliputians miniature rivals the Blefuscudians? Did the brobs conquer their island too? Or has Blefuscu maintained its independence. If so, is there still bad blood between them and the Lilies?

Author's Response: Welcome back! So, this world of mine isn't *quite* the world of Gulliver. It's my own world with it's own history based off the famous story. The Belfuscudians don't exist in my story, so the answer to that is n/a. I hope that helps!

Wow! This is the best gts story Iv read in awhile. I really enjoy the interactions between Jeanie and her tiny roommates and I think the world you’ve set up is really cool! It’s even inspired me to start crafting my own sizey universe.

I’m just having a hard time comprehending the sheer size of Jeanie(mostly because my simple American brain can’t understand anything involving the metric system). So to help me understand, Let’s say the Lilliputians were the size of regular humans. How big would Jeanie be in comparison?

Author's Response:

Thank you very much! Certainly. Jeannine stands just under 6 miles from the Lilli POV.

Well, I seriously thought we were going to see the first unaware accident!

caught up by Jeannine's body when her walking outpaces the max speed of the vehicle, slapped after being mistaken for an insect when she tried to 'protect' MG from it, or unknowingly stepped on after his chute fell to the ground, etc....

Author's Response:

I couldn't do that to Icarus. He may be reckless, but he doesn't deserve a fatal accident.

Google translator again, please :D

D'aww, this chapter was really endearing. It's so pleasant to read that Sara's beginning to warm up to the Lillis, seeing them as actual people... It goes to show what seeing the world from someone else's eyes can do for your perspective, huh?

I imagine that her earning the tiny citizens' trust will be an uphill battle, though, but I look forward to seeing her try someday. She seems to have taken a liking to Nick in particular... Wonder how she'd react if she knew he witnessed her eating Lillis alive that one time. That's going to be a harsh blow to the conscience.

Author's Response:

Thanks! Exactly, all it takes is an open mind and a willingness to learn.

Sara is going to take the spotlight soon, so look forward to that. Her role and development in this story is going to be important. That 'friction' you're predicting will hopefully play out in a satisfying way. As for Nick, well, you will just have to wait and see.

Love these "brobs seeing themselves from lili perspective" scenes, hope we see more.

And a heartwarming episode? this does feel like the calm before the storm. Accidents are bound to happen with this size difference~

Author's Response:

It's one of my favorite scenes to write! I can't have it every chapter, but you can expect it a few more times.

Don't be so negative, things can be happy without foreshadowing impending doom...

I find it interesting how both Jeannine and the Lillis themselves (or at least, Nick and Ori) seem to view the saved Lillis as something like a statistic. For instance, they focused on rescuing Remnants instead of those in pet stores because it was more efficient that way. In this chapter, Ori and Jeannine seemed to imply that it didn’t matter if others were killing Lillis; they just had to save more than were killed.

Also, I’m sorry if this is a stupid question, but how would you imagine the economic system in MG works?

Author's Response:

It was certainly a tough decision for them. As much as the group would like to help others, they are limited in what they can do. Remember that buying Lillis on the black market is both dangerous and expensive. Jeannine is a university student with very limited funds. I'm sure she would do both if she could. As for Ori, she wasn't saying that it didn't matter, but rather that Jeannine's mother could not be stopped by force. In that case, it would be better for Jeannine to focus on making a difference on her own rather than trying to change someone who refuses to do so. None of the mother's actions are being dismissed.

It's not a stupid question. I imagine their society to be capitalist. Imperialism was the driving force behind the invasion of their country, so there is also that.

Please men, use Google Translator. English is not my mother language :D

Author's Response:

I hope this translated correctly! Forgive me if there are issues here.
