I wonder what reward Kurt will receive for saving the princess?

Author's Response:

She doesn't have much to give him given that she's a fugitive now, but I imagine our boy will get something for his trouble

Great chapter. I’m glad Joey got to experience a wild ride too. Nea seems more…appreciative of humans now, though I’m curious to see how long it’ll last once she’s back around her own kind, ones that think little of humans no less. A bit of real world experience is good, but deep-seated beliefs are hard to change.

Author's Response:

Yeah dealing with the populace on Alrec is going to be hard on all of them, Joey and Kurt's trust in the two Zetans is new and kind of fragile.

I don't really care for Amazonian women, but I do love femdom. I particularly like a smaller woman dominating a larger man.

I expected that polygamy would be a thing due to the severe lack of men among Zetans.

Author's Response:

Can't argue with a love of femdom, though usually in my stories one way or another the woman ends up bigger lol.

Nea's face-heel turned seemed pretty abrupt to me. Other than that, not a terrible chapter.

I know this is focus on shrinking and giantesses, but I like that you included a regular sized sex scene, will there be others?

Also, by Tayla taking Craig as a consort, does that mean she wishes to marry him? And she wants to share him with 20 other women? Will they be co-wives or something?

Author's Response:

Yeah I'll work on the Kurt Nea scenes, you're the second person to say it seemed a bit abrupt.

As for sex scenes I like the occasional tall girl or smallish Amazon x normal guy in these things, we'll see some other sizes before the end.

Zetans don't really have a concept of monogamous marriage, their gender ratio means most Zetan females end up sharing a male even if you might say that a Zetan male probably has a primary female(s) he spends most of his time with. The royal family gets consorts, which are males that are reserved for themselves and might be shared or loaned as a favor to friends. The consort arrangement is a lot closer to a marriage than the usual Zetan arrangement, but what's implied there is that Tayla intends to share him around with her social circle, and he might be "entertaining" about 20 guests at their party.

Another great chapter with some good action and more world building. I like the character and relationship building with Nea, how she is growing to appreciate humans more and admitted her mistakes.

Very interesting interaction between the humans and Cephalos as well. I recall on chapter 4, the Cephalo saying, "The abhorred species was long thought destroyed, but now in this far-flung reach of space they had been found again, few in number, and primitive". And now with the primordial hatred Kurt and Joey had when facing the Cephalo, perhaps humans existed in the Galaxy before in ancient times? If so, I wonder if the Zetans did as well and if they've interacted before. And interesting twist if so.

I continue to look forward to reading more. I'm also curious to know if you took inspiration from any other sci fi franchises. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Yeah the implication you can draw from the Cephalo and Human instinctive hatred for each other is that we've all met before, I'll leave further implications to your imagination for now. Zetans on the other hand... well recall that the Cephalo rather dismissively refers to them as a "food-species."

There are a lot of sci-fi franchises I'm pulling stuff from, Star Trek is obviously a big one, the Zetan royal family and the whole earth farmboy and alien princess trope is a pulpier one from things like Buck Rogers or Flash Gordon. Finally the WorldWar series by Harry Turtledove inspires a lot of the post-war interaction, that series was about a group of aliens who invaded earth during world war 2 and ended up being forced to live in peace alongside humans after they failed to conquer the planet. Also the Elves from the Inwiththebooks Downfall of Humanity series inspired the pre-war Zetans in their treatment and attitude towards humans, though things took a different turn here obviously.

Maybe I'm underestimating how fast the horror of the squids could make allies of enemies but Kurt and Joey seem unnaturally forgiving and trusting given the circumstances, Nea's heel face turn makes sense to the reader and has some buildup but that's not something Kurt got to see. From his perspective he still has no reason whatsoever to trust her. Still liking the story so far for the most part but the sudden reconciliation after kidnapping and enslaving him doesn't really feel earned on Nea's part.

Author's Response: The relationship between Kurt and Nea has a long way to go, but with Nea's threats no longer on the table and them having fought together and now sharing common goals I thought it would be appropriate that Kurt warms up to her. I'll try to detail more of Kurt's thoughts on it and hopefully flesh the relationship out more as it grows, I'm trying to get better are writing these interactions so these kinds of thoughts are great, thanks.
