Very interesting so far, Im not much of a western guy so your title description almost scared me away but i have enjoyed your other stories so I pushed forward.

I really like what I have read so far. I also like how your use of words, like unfurled. It adds to the time to me, as its not a word currently used very often today so it gives the story a nice dated feel.

 Looking forward to more

Author's Response: :-O High praise from the Maestro, himself? I am astonished and duly grateful. Thanks.

This is intriguing. I will be looking forward to more.

I thought I knew a lot of modern history, but a couple of those battles are unknown to me. Are they all real?

By the way, I'm mostly Hession, (brought over by the British) part Cherokee, and a mixture of three other nationalities --- at least.

Author's Response: The "Ride Around McClellan" refers to a two-day reconnaisance (June 13-15, 1862), by "Jeb" Stuart's Confederate cavalry, around the Union forces of Gen. George B. McClellan during the latter's ultimately ill-fated Peninsular Campaign. The Battle of the Wilderness occurred two years later, in a heavily-forested area of Virginia, which most professional military historians regard as an inconclusive stalemate between Lee and Grant.
