I understand that you're on an indefinite hiatus and real life must come first. I just wanna say how much I fell in love with your work! I binge-read The Innocent Man 1-3 within two days and already I'm missing it. I wish you update it again soon! Your work is quite rare as there's more plot than erotica, but I definitely do not care and still love your work. It definitely deserves all the reviews it got! Cheers!

Wow, what’s this. An update, and the writing is as good as ever. Glad to see more of this, and if you still need a break then that’s all good. But am definitely looking forward for more.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the review, I really appreciate it! I'm glad I was able to make some progress too, and I'll try to keep it up. Thank you for the kind words, I'm very glad to hear that you're enjoying the story! I hope you enjoy where we go from here, and good luck with your own story as well.

Another amazing chapter! Love the interactions between Brian and Jennifer, the end especially is very sweet. Don’t feel like you need to keep updating the story; do whatever you feel is best for you

Author's Response:

Thank you very much for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I like writing Brian and Jennifer's interactions, so I'm glad you're enjoying them as well. We need more cute sibling interactions in this world!

I appreciate the reassurance, but I truly hate having such long waits between chapters. I'm committed to at least finishing out this series, since it's had such an impact on my life, so I really really want to keep going. So, I'll do my best, and I hope you enjoy what happens next! Thanks again for the review, and I hope to see more of your work as well~

It's great to have you back Pluto! It only took 976 years but it's good to see a king in Gondor.

Author's Response:

Aw thanks, I'm really glad to hear that I didn't lose you! Although I'm fairly certain I'm closer to a certain Steward than a king, your kind words always mean a lot to me. I hope you enjoy the next chapter!

O hell dude. I wanted so much to see the continuation of this incredible story and I was afraid you would not continue writing it. Thank you so much for that.

Author's Response:

Thank you very much for the review, and I’m so sorry that you were worried about the story not continuing! It makes sense considering how long ago the last chapter was, but I promise that I have every intention to see this story to the end, and I’ll try not to have such a long wait for the next chapter. I’m going to work on it this weekend, so hopefully that will be enough time to finish it. Either way, I’m so happy to hear that you’re enjoying the story, and I hope you enjoy what happens next! Thanks again for the review.

I really enjoy this story and wamted to know if there is a time estimate for the next chapters release

Author's Response:

Hi, thank you so much for reading! Now, I really want to apologize for the lack of an update. This past month and a half has been a mix of unexpected business, mental fatigue, and lack of motivation, which has made it really difficult for me to work on my stories. Things are still progressing, just slowly. I have by no means given up, though, and I really want to get an update posted soon! I'm hesitant to give a firm time estimate, just because I would hate to disappoint someone should I fail to meet it, but I really really hope to get things moving again within the next couple weeks. In the meantime, I'm very glad to hear that you're enjoying the series, and I really appreciate your patience while I'm figuring things out. Thanks again for reading, and I hope you enjoy what happens next!

I am enjoying the story, yes. I look forward to the next chapters. It's a chance at wish fulfillment, since macrophilia isn't possible scientifically, let alone the chance of a woman ever loving me. Anything to keep my depression at bay.

Author's Response:

Oh, I'm sure that isn't true! I don't know you, but I truly believe that everybody is capable and deserving of receiving love. I wish you the best, and I really appreciate your continued reviews on this series. I'm really glad that you're enjoying it, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the remaining chapters. Yeah, unfortunately. Which makes it all the more poignant to me when I see siblings who really care for each other, all the more bittersweet.

Man it sucks being an only child...I wish I had a sibling like Jen...

Author's Response:

Yeah, Brian is lucky to have such a loving and caring sister. Even among those with siblings, that kind of relationship isn't always guaranteed. Of course, Jen would say the same thing about Brian!

I'm glad he finally asked Elizabeth to be his mom, she pretty much is anyway, took him long enough.

It'd be cool if more people had a mom like her, sans the "final meeting with Laura part", Elizabeth shouldn't have let that happen...

Author's Response:

Right? It took a meeting with his "real" mom, as well as a reminder of how awful she made him feel, to make him realize that what he needed was already there. Better late than never! She agrees with you about how she shouldn't have let the meeting happen, but oh well. To be fair, Brian himself was the one who asked for the meeting (albeit at Allison's intervention), so it would be a bit harder for her to shut that down. That's why she checked with him before the meeting started, making sure that *he* still wanted to do it, and letting him know that he could stop at any time. She did her best! Regardless, you're right that it would be nice if everybody could have a mom like her.

I don't think his sister should have been there for the meeting, but that's just me. I think it should have been between him and his mom, and maybe Elizabeth..Either way I can't say I don't agree with Brian 100%. I would tell Brian's mom to get lost myself. I'm not really liking how Allison wanted hom to meet his mom either, she didn't understand how traumatic it was for him, no one but him could ever really understand. I appreciated Elizabith telling his mom off last chapter as well, but she should have known better than to just cave to Alison and let Btian mmet his mom. Some relationships just need to end, another meeting like this seems more cruel than anything else. All in all my respect for Allison and Elizabeth's characters have decreased a bit, though more so for Allison. She can be really ignorant, in a really damaging way. I don't think she's the best lover for Brian sometimes...

Author's Response:

Yeah, lots of mistakes were made in regards to this meeting. A lot of it comes down to Brian's expectations for what would happen. If he had somehow known, or even planned, to lash out at her like that, then he maybe would have asked to meet with her by himself (or maybe with Elizabeth or Allison), but certainly not with Jen. As for Allison, she definitely wasn't being 100% considerate of how painful such a meeting would be. The reasons for that will be explored later on, but she was letting a personal interest cloud her opinion. Definitely, she is a very flawed person, and I'm sorry your opinion of her (and Elizabeth) has fallen a bit. I hope she can make it up as the story continues!

Still, I'm glad you agreed with Brian. What I'm going for with Laura is the idea that even if an abusive person genuinely feels remorse or changes for the better, the person they hurt is under no obligation to forgive them. Brian simply can't forgive her for what she did, at least for a long time, and that's the reality everybody needs to accept. There have been a few roadblocks so far, but for the most part everybody is on the same page now. I hope you're enjoying the story!

Forgive me if this question has already been answered...but how was Brian proven innocent again?

Author's Response:

So, after the bodycam footage was released, Cassandra reopened Timmy Osment's case. Since everybody believed they had caught the killer when Brian was arrested, the authorities didn't do any additional investigation at the time. So, Cassandra's team had to start from the beginning. One of the things they did was dig up security camera footage from buildings and stores near the area where Timmy first disappeared, as well as the alley where he was murdered. Through that, they were able to identify the real murderer. The idea being that ironic sort of thing where, if they had done *any* real investigation at the time and not been so caught up in the media fire, they would have easily been able to prove Brian innocent. But they didn't, and here we are. This is coming from Chapters 18, 19, and 20 from "An Innocent Man 2." I hope that helps, and thanks for reading!

Took me long enough to leave a review but just like you, I wasn't in the right headspace to leave one all this time...! Regardless, I am thoroughly enjoying the story thus far and loooove the character development!

I can't wait to see how jennifer will react when she meets Cathy, although I won't lie, I'm heavily rooting for Cathy in this "battle" Jennifer is kind of getting on my nerves with her over-protectiveness but I guess I can see where she's coming from.

I also can't wait to see Cathy make an appearance again! I've mentioned how I have a weakness for her..!

Regardless, this is a shorter review than my usual ones (mostly because I can't recall all the chapters and what I've read in them) but still a meaningful one!

Awesome work as always, and I love the fact you accepted the role of this fiction as an erotic one, cause that's what it is in my mind as well lol.

Keep up the great work!

Author's Response:

Hey, I'm really glad to see a review from you! No worries about not reviewing, though, I'm happy just knowing that you're enjoying the story. With that being said, I always really enjoy your thoughts!

I'm very happy that you're liking the story so far! Character development has certainly been the focus, so I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Yeah, I certainly couldn't forget about a character like Cathy! I hope you enjoy her return, since I know you're a fan of her. I am too, so I'll do my best!

Absolutely, Jennifer is going overboard with her protectiveness and defensiveness. That's definitely the point, and Brian will actually be talking to her about it in the next chapter. I do think it's hard to blame her, though. Her entire universe was flipped around within the last week, and she's only 18. She needs some time to adjust. However, she still needs to consider Brian's feelings. And in her conflict with Cathy, safe to say that nobody is going to want them to be in the same room!

Yeahhh, gotta just accept things for what they are sometimes. It also wouldn't make sense to spend so much time building up his sexuality only to ignore it after one sex scene. The question, I suppose, is how to make a sex scene not feel forced...

Anyway, thanks again for the review, and I hope you enjoy what happens next!
