Author's Response: I really do appreciate your comments, and I apologize for not getting back to this story sooner. I stupidly load my plate with lots of stuff, then add even more on top, and as a result, my other stories suffer from neglect. I am really glad you enjoyed it, because after a rough second chapter, I enjoyed writing it more and more. And after I got into it, I found myself rooting for Gil and Elizabeth to end up together. So unfortunately, that led to the hokey removal of Gil's astronaut friends, as well as his wife.
