@Ancient Relic.

Agreed. The moment she kidnapped Eva, the point of no return already started, but only as time progresses she comes more aware of it.
I fully agree with your whole comment and had the same thoughts. The only few possibilities to let Eva go and one you described. Making it a cold case is also an option.

I also have a feeling their is a twist coming with Amy's testing. Will those discoveries put more pressure on Tina or alleviate the pressure on her? Would it be in Eva benefit or not? Probebly something in between or something.  It will propably be something subtle, with a lot of possibility for interesting events.

Everything is also about timing and when things come into play to keep the story interesting.

In your second part of your text, your describtion of Tina I fully aree with.
Tina had some idea how to punish Eva and getting precisly the desired outcome.
But too many variables she didn't take into account in this rollercoaster of emotions in unkwon territory.
She also cannot confide in someone to tell the story. Maybe it will develop that she tries to confide to someone in her circle. Not be able too tell what is bothering you to no one, also makes is hard.

It also keeps working on the mind, that your enemy is completely defenceless and already defeated and tortured at high mental level. As time progresses it is just harder and harder to stay angry at a one inch woman.

There are so much more interesting emotions that come into play. I enjoy every chapter update as those emotions get explored further.

Author's Response:

I shan't comment on the speculation, but I will say this exchange has been both very flattering and amusing haha.

@Barrowman: Tina is definitely nervous about something, as you say, and I bet that it's going to develop in to something. We already know that Dana is concerned about Eva's wellbeing, and my impression is that if Dana found out what happened to Eva, Tina would be fired and probably arrested. So Tina's keeping a secret. But as time goes on, it'll become increasingly clear that Eva is a missing person. How exactly is Tina going to keep her secret as the pressure mounts? She's has to; letting Eva go is not an option, she'll just reveal everything...unless Tina manages to break Eva so completely that she keeps the secret? The alternative seems to be to make Eva a cold case. I see one potential twist coming: whatever Amy's testing may provide another option.

Tina's nervousness also shows consciousness of guilt: Tina shows awareness that she's doing something wrong, something that society would not approve of. We're at the midpoint of a corruption arc: Tina is still aware of the good way to go about this, but she's also gone so deep into the bad way to go about this that she can't just go back to where she was at the beginning of the story. Eva's also near the midpoint of her own arc, although there's a number of plausible directions that it could go in.

@Barrowman: Either that, or a major mental break. If Eva isn't instantly trying to get help, then it seems like she'll be a big step closer to being broken next chapter, and then we see how Tina reacts to signs that she's actually making progress in breaking a bully...

@Ancient Relic. It could be the case being a step close. I don't think a complete breakdown.
A physical exhaustion because of the breaking point. Maybe she will be unconcious for the rest of the day. Which in turn will actually give rest.

Tina's punishment of Eva, even in the physical, was more aimed at the mental stuff. To humiliate. This punishment seems more to really do physical damage and getting her stress out. She rarely sees Eva's face or mental state in this scene and has to guess how humiliated she is.

Something is clearly bothering Tina, as if she needs to hurry to get some sort result as if she is pressed for time. She can never leave her alone in her cage and brining her with her gives tension and she has to think about work and not being caught. That will have consequences for her mental fitness. The fear of losing what she has is always there.

It is always interesting with shrinking stories with the giantess who punish the tiny, that they are never fully aware, even the smart thinkers, how much damage they are doing on every level until seeing the results. They have an estimate, but it is always interesting what they all realize at a certain time on their interesting journey.

Why I like this story so much is that the writer put in so much effort to record so many details in the logistics, feelings and logical consequences(also emotional) on certin events/actions on so many levels that it feels like the real world.

In too many stories on this site, the torture will stay in one place and the characters feel one dimensional as there are zero (emotional) consequences for actions taken.

Here I see Tina and Eva in a world where they have relationships with other people. In a subtle way we get to know more and more about the background and relationships of the characters.

There is so much more other interesting development, clues and misdirections in this story.

Can't wait for the next chapter.

Interesting descriptions again. Wonder what happens after the physical breaking point. Some weird permanent deformities, but still alive?
