Another amazing addition. Tbh I'm less interested in the mystery and more in their relationship. It certainly serves as a good backdrop, but their relationship is what keeps me reading. I think Allie would also eventually take a step forward regarding his intimacy issues too.
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! I agree, the relationship between Allison and Brian is the story I'm trying to tell here. The explanation given in this chapter about the murder is more or less the extent I plan on going. As you say, it's more of a catalyst for the events of the story, and a backdrop for some of Brian's trauma. I hope you enjoy the way their relationship develops from here!

I've never seen an asexual character in a Giantess story,
and I've never seen LOTR been quoted as well.
Two more points making this story unique and original.
Author's Response:
Thank you for reviewing again! Yes, I thought it would be fun to try adding a different type of character into a shrinking story. I also just wish there were more asexual characters in general. I hope you continue to enjoy this story!

I rarely comment, but I felt like I have to after reading this story as I'm absolutely loving it! Gentle interactions are the best, especially with the interesting chemistry between Allison and Brian. Looking forward to the next chapters! Would love to see more of the gentle stuff and would love to learn more about the truth of the murder.
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! I'm really glad that you decided to comment on my story. I really like gentle interactions as well. I think you will enjoy what's to come!

Another great chapter! This story is hands down currently my favorite story on this site. The interactions between Allison and Brian are so incredibly adorable and wholesome that they consistently melt my heart at every turn. Also, I can't begin to describe how inexplicably happy the fact that you made LOTR a plot device makes me. I'm genuinely really excited about where this story is going! I am very interested in continuing to see how the relationship between Allison and Brian progresses (as well as how Allison is gonna get around that whole zero sex drive thing if she ever gets to that stage with Brian, but that's neither here nor there). Keep up the fantastic work!
Author's Response:
Thank you so much!! That's some high praise, it made my day to read your review. I'm glad you're enjoying their interactions still. My primary time-spending activity prior to writing this was playing Shadow of War, so I'm on a LOTR kick right now. Figured I might as well incorporate it into the story! I hope you enjoy where it goes from here!

You've certainly nailed the slice of life vibe, and I'm loving it so far. I did not see the asexual angle coming, but that almost makes him a more interesting character. I hope it's as fun writing this as it is to read it. Looking forward to seeing these characters continue to grow - and yes fellow LOTR fan!
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! Yes, I thought it might be nice to have a reprieve from ethical dilemmas and emotional trauma for some relaxed fluff. Not to say those things are never going to come back, though.
As for the asexual thing, I did it as a way to add another reason as to why Brian doesn't really care that he's small. Something I see a lot in stories is insecurity from the small person since they can't do anything traditionally sexual with their partner anymore. I thought it could be fun to avoid that insecurity with Brian, since he never really wanted to do those things in the first place. I hope people don't think it's out of place in a story like this.
I am having fun writing this! This is unlike anything I have ever done before, and the positive response has been wonderful. The reviews are my favorite part, so I hope I can continue to look forward to yours!

What a really interesting story. Really liking it thus far. You've got some really well developed characters. the colleague "Cathy" seems to be a bit of an enigma. Outwardly very friendly and nice but extremely sadistic to those she kills. It's almost like she hasn't considered that some might be innocent and believes all of them to be the most vile creatures that deserve it. Though I suppose that's the case with most of the Chevaliers
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! I'm glad that you're enjoying it, and it means a lot for you to say that my characters are well developed. I hope you enjoy the way they are developed further.
I think you're spot on with your perception of Cathy. The rhetoric surrounding the Shrink Penalty is exactly that- only the worst-of-the-worst, vile, disgusting criminals are getting it, so therefore there's nothing wrong with acting sadistic towards them. Whether that's true is up for debate, as Allison is now learning. Obviously, the Chevalier profession is likely to attract some sadistic characters as well. Makes you wonder why Allison is one, no? Thanks for reading.

Great start! I was interested in the premise of the first 2 chapters, however, this chapter singel handedly sold me on the story. I love the power dynamic between the two main characters, I really enjoyed the fact that Brian was able to take hold of the conversation between him and allison despite the size disadvantage, and I loved seeing her show some compassion for the first time in the story. I can only hope that Allison and Brian's relationship will improve and be developed further. I'm excited to see what comes next. As Palpatine once said, "we will watch your career with great interest."
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! I'm glad you're enjoying Allison and Brian's interactions. I hope you enjoy the way their relationship develops. As for the Palpatine quote, I only hope this doesn't mean I'll eventually become Darth Vader x_x

Good story. I wonder what will happen if he's not dead after 60 minutes. Then again, if they can eat their 'customers' and there are no cameras, it doesn't seem like evidence of the killing is necessarily required. This could shape up to be something truly remarkable.
One sidenote, which you may or may not pick up: given the track record of courts and the death penalty in general, there is an incredibly high chance that Allison has killed innocent people before. Perhaps she'll realize that in time. Where's one, there's usually more, after all.
Cheers.
Author's Response:
Thank you for the review! Both very astute observations.
Your sidenote in particular is one of the things that inspired me to write this story. Last semester, I had two classes that both had separate units on capital punishment. History, why people do/don't support it, efficacy, etc. Two important questions that need to be answered, in my opinion, to come up with a verdict on capital punishment are:
1) How effective is capital punishment as a deterrent to crime?
2) How many people are put to death for crimes they did not commit?
The second question inspired me to write a shrinking-based story to explore that. I hope you'll continue to enjoy it!

"This was not a scream.
This was not a cry.
This was a whisper, a soft declaration of innocence to an empty and uncaring universe."
My favourite quote from the latest chapter. He's reacting stoically, though, in the end he still cries, bcause he's human and he has feelings, no matter how strong his will is.

Wow what an awesome chapter! I really hope she does the right thing. Can't wait to read the next chapter, especially after that cliffhanger lol.
Author's Response:

LOL
I tought the first chapter was the final one, as the self-proclaimed innocent man was squished, but it was not him!
Let's see if she has some feelings or is cold at all
Author's Response:
Yes, I wanted the first chapter to seem like it was the whole story, based on the description. But it actually was only part 1/2 of the prologue! Thank you for reading.
