Ah, Chozo, I forgot the U.S's involvement with the Eurpean conflict happened well after Dunkirk. Whether the U.S. would have entered that conflict is debatable, and, due to Russia being a Comunist nation is further questionable. Anyway, this debate is not really suitable for this site. I'll just say that, after reading a lengthy article about the consequences of Britain's imaginary capitulation, it says that Germany would have swiftly turned on Russia and beaten them. America, at that time, was ill-equipped to (what with the Pacific War) to stage a second front.
Anyway, do continue your fantasy yarns....and jolly good luck!

Dear Chozo, seeing as you like writing fantasy yarns involving the 3rd Reich, what are your thoughts if England had capitulated over the Dunkirk episode. America, as a consequence, could not have used the U.K. as a launching pad. Would therefore the U.S. have given up and turned all its resources on the Jap campaign thus saving many thousands of American lives?
Author's Response: America wasn't even in the war when the Dunkirk thing occured. That happened in 1940, and the attack on Pearl Harbor didn't happen until December 1941. So the question isn''t whether we would have given up or not, but whether we would have gotten involved in it at all. But even if Britain were knocked out of the war, let's remember we were able to get our foothold in North Africa and boot the Axis from there. Another option would be sending our men to the Soviet Union to fight the Germans there. So no doubt we could have kept the fight going without Britain in the war, but it would have been tougher, and like you said I think we probably would have just focused on the Pacific theater (if the Japanese still attacked us).
