Wow, that was great, but almost ended too quicky. Ever consider an alternate ending where he shrinks more slowly and they get more ime together? I really like the premise and characters, so selfishly want more of them. look forward to whats next in any case.

Thank you! In the case of this story I thought of it as a one-shot, and a quick one at that. So I never really planned to do anything longer with it. But, I was thinking of slow shrink stories that go on longer, so I'll write something similar to this one eventually. : )

I like this very much. Especially for some reason the paragraph where she says "fuck you" to his assumptions about her motives, then immediately after explains how and why she cares.
Might be she'll reveal some true intentions later on, but I like to believe her, and that wanting to be there for someone you feel for, even when they've just been frustrating and hurtful to you (which you haven't hesitated to let them know), is a thing. It just reads very honest and mature.

Thank you, I'm glad you feel this way about the dialogues and the mood. As well as that you're enjoying the story. I try to make my characters appear at least a bit believable and it's always nice to hear I did something right. : )
I have a firm idea of what will happen next but I can assure you the overall tone will remain gentle. Doesn't change the fact I did not envision a happy ending for this story, but I'm sure you know that by now.

Great start, really looking forward to this one! I really like how realistic the characters are, and how much you already you pick up their personalities. I hope that Heather lets James enjoy himself in his last days (and maybe vice versa too), including maybe let him partake in his obvious attraction to her feet. Can't wait for the rest! I know this is likely a gentle story, but maybe right before the very end, she puts him out of his misery so he doesn't shrink to nothing like her dad.
