If that's a first story I'd be scared (and super interested) to see what a second or third looks like. I loved the tone, it felt really fantastical and mystical and you really don't see much of that in this kinda stuff. Really good!

Wow, that's some high praise (and expectation) thanks! I'm gonna try keeping some of that tone as I move into more action oriented works, but we'll see how it goes.
