I had forgotten about this story over the past several years, like many that seem as if they'll forever be unfinished, but when you added a chapter and I revisited it, the story came back to me. I think that's saying something after such a long time. It's a very unique premise.
I like the idea of technology allowing people to initially be unaware of one another's size. It makes you wonder how many people in this society have met someone online, hit it off, and were too afraid (or forgot) to inquire into whether the other was a Dom or sub. All sorts of men and women probably think their dates were no-shows, when in actuality their dates showed up but saw them standing there and looking around everywhere except eye level, causing them to run for the hills!
Author's Response: Thank you, I appreciate the continued interest in my story! I realize that, yes, I too forgot about it after some time but I am now actively seeking to continue it as it's a story that I think has some interesting stories of its own to tell. BTW, I like that idea! See, it's that sort of stuff that greatly interests me, the world-building aspects of a story. It was always my intention with this story to reveal things about the world little by little, hinting at things through dialogue and throw-away exposition, so you slowly get an understanding of what's going on.

In regards to Cary's comment, I will say that I read a shorter story on this site called "Homosizeuals" with a similar basic premise: people come in two general sizes, and it's natural to be with those of the opposite size. That being said, you're expanding the concept to a whole new level, and I think this is shaping up to be a great story.
Apparently, when Dom- and sub-kids learn about "the birds and the bees," they're taught that birds are meant to mate with others of their species who are the size of bees. ;-) Actually, do other animals come in Dom and sub varieties, or is this strictly a human evolution? It would also be interesting to find out how it's determined whether a child will be a Dom or a sub; it seemed like Samantha had a Dom-mom. Is it even possible for a sub-woman to bear a Dom-child? Ouch. The family dynamics in this society must be very interesting. Oh, and I see that you capitalize "Dom" while leaving "sub" lowercase. I love that sort of attention to small details.
It's unfortunate that the disgust toward homoamplitudosexuality (say that ten times fast) in this fantasy world has a counterpart in ours, but I digress.
Author's Response: Oh yes, I remember that story and enjoyed it immensely, and one could certainly say that the basic premise of it helped shape what my overall story became, in a way. Basically I just thought to myself what a world would be like wherein a certain fetish was no longer contained to the realm of fantasy, wherein it is a reality, and how while it would be great in some people's eyes, other people would certainly suffer as well from it's effects. Yeah, like I said to Cary before, I am writing this story not so much as our world looking into theirs, but it's told in their world so that in the context of the story and dialog I am only revealing little bits and pieces about the world and society in which they live in. I like for the reader to fill in the missing gaps of information and try to figure it out, although I am sure to be dropping plenty of more hints and such as the story goes on. I'm glad that you're enjoying it and I hope you continue to do so as I will be updating it very soon!(P.S. Yeah, while there are obvious differences between our world and theirs, there is of course some horrible similarities; a bit of social commentary on my part, if you will, about the disgusting nature of hate.)rn

WOW! I don't think I've read a new-world-order piece that was even remotely similar to this.
Let me see if I have this straight. Giant humans (aka Dominants) can only have children through sex with short humans (aka Submissives). And, sex between Subs is forbidden because it only produces infertile offpsring?

Author's Response: Thank you, I'm really glad that you enjoy it! You basically hit the nail on the head with the concept of the story: in this world people of different sizes are able to procreate, while people of the same size can't, and the act of doing so is strictly forbidden. I'm glad in a way that you figured it out because due to the unique nature of the story, characters, setting and such I didn't want to completely reveal everything. I wanted to tell the story in THAT world, not from our world looking in, so that in a way not much is explained, but in a subtle way it is. I hope that you continue to read it as I have a lot more twists and turns left to tell!
