Tom... My initial assessment of Vesper was at a time when we did not know these cruel pagan bitches were anything more than a local phenomenon. Given what we now know, I still believe Vesper is top dog at the local chapter even though she has graduated from school.  The Omega at the cafe was Allie, the chapter president.  Vesper performed the ritual that took Oliver, there was no mention of Allie that I recall.  That said I believe Vesper out ranks Allie or at least appears more prominent in her role.  Vesper was the one who was friends with Edith Frost... The number 2 of the entire organization.

@shrinkmeister,

Man, that was a while ago. I guess I have changed it slightly. I do see Vesper as one of the more respected ladies and seems to be pretty important than I once thought.

However, she isn't the queen of these Omegas though. The queen met Oliver in the cafe. (I forgot her name.) I'm sticking to that too. Vesper is like the queen's assistant manager or soemthing.

In short, yes, my opinion of Vesper has changed. She certainly is more involved than I thought and she has great authority in that house.

Damn it feels good knowing you backed the right horse.

It is so rewarding seeing Oliver come through in the pinch.

His stair climb is impressive.   An improved strengh to weight ratio would be a desirable side effect of the spell... a more durable little person is more ....useful.  Of course, he might be able to do some remarkable feats (at his scale) the only reason he doesn't is because he doesn't know he can.  If he'd had time to experiment he might have leapt those stairs in one jump.

Avoiding the giant bitches is going to be a challenge i think...but I'm with him all the way.

On the subject of what if there are consequences for girls who won't do the vampire thing.  I have no sympathy for anyone who participates in the ritual, none....so far we have a 100 percent scummy bitch ratio for participants.   Sersi, Brookly, etc...They all deserve to spend some time in a dental chair in the third world.  It's pretty clear (from her harping about her potential to Cam) that Sersi knew the score from a young age.  If you can't summon up the moral courage to run away from that (and gosh, maybe take your little brother with you)... you should be used as bait while fishing for weasel fish.  What Sersi said to the feckless little twerp about having her concerns "washed away"  tells me she made a concious decision to become an evil, disgusting creature.... So those who destroy the lives of others, because it feels good (the only tangible reason we've been offered so far) can eat a pile of moldy gopher dicks and choke.

If there are punishments for going against some central authority...well, don't become part of that system.   But that would mean them making "sacrifices" (instead of the innocent) they might have to work for a living.  They might have to develope something resembling character or integrity... the horror.  Considering the hyper-justification this whole bunch of poop gorgons must have done over the years I couldn't stomach any excuse that might come out of their diseased brains.

Yeah, I'm invested.  Keep making this the best SM story ever Duggernaut.  You rock!

PixL8Ed

P.S.  Just to be clear, I never said you treated Oliver like a bumpkin.  I actually made an argument that you hadn't.

Author's Response:

Up front, apologies for misrepresenting bumpkin, and yes Oliver, while shrunk has eluded the clutches of the Omega Pi girls, for now...who knows. Now that he is on the loose in the house, the story takes on a whole new dynamic! Thanks for another inciteful review!

Hmm. Oliver is finding this out on his own while Cam just got overloaded with so much information at once when the girls told him everything.

However, I think everyone is forgetting about the main focus here, who is Deacon's new roomate be? Now that Oliver is gone, someone else has to fill in that gap.

Will Deacon be searching for Oliver like the way Oliver searched for Cam? He met Brooklyn and I wonder what she will do in response.

Can Oliver escape and tell the tale to Deacon? Or will he be captured and used like his other comrades?

I can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

I think all depends on how they try an sell Oliver's disappearance, but remember, Deacon and our tiny hero set up a code, so things might get very interesting!

Pix... I agree completely about the black widow theory.  The men in the lives of Omegas are there for one purpose... Fathering sons to feed the sisters needs. Once that job is out of the way, men are just an impediment and would ask too many questions when their sons mysteriously disappear. The question is whether they left or were disposed... Perhaps fed into the Omegas clutches... This leads to the next question.  Deacon will tell Stan about the conversation he had with Oliver about his possible disappearance. Stan will not let this go and will be nosing around Omega house looking for Oliver.  This will be interesting... What fate awaits Stan?

Author's Response:

You were on this thread a while back with Mudd's Women but you've delved a little deeper and posed some very intriguing questions. Things have been put into play due to Deacon and Oliver's little code and you are absolutely right to presume Stan won't let it go.

I appreciate your investiture in this story because now things just got a lot.more interesting.

Ya’ know Shrinkmeister, we’re only thinking of the poor young men, destroyed at the beginning of their adult life. You notice how both Cam on Oliver have no biological dads?  There’s a whole “black widow” thing going on too I think.Which puts Stan in their sights too, well, everybody really.  They make a big deal about “selected sons”  but that doesn’t really eliminate anybody.   I mean who did they use for the first rituals?   Didn’t have selected sons before they had an organization.
Hmmm....they don’t seem to mind girls for sex. And they don’t go out of their way to be nice to girls who ain’t “in the club.” Remember the two girls who avoided the 'Megs when Oliver toured the campus at the beginning of the story?   There might even be a percentage tiny women getting the 'Megs “special attention.”  Usually,as an SW fan, that’s a fun concept...but with these monsters....ugn..no. I picture one of them shrinking a gal and keeping her “just to prove she can be gentle”....until she gets bored and eats her.
It looks like they a don’t target kids...well...while they’re kids....no...their little things with young Oliver and Vesper’s boy...I mean they wait until they have all their energy to get’em. But you can see them swimming around the youngsters like sharks, thinking....soon....Just evil.
The thing Oliver’s mom is attending...there are no real details, only the “other sister’s progeny” it might even be a girl that thought she could pick her own path though life, that would be sad.
Year after year, generation after generation these vile things justify their actions and dine on people like Oliver and Cam...just reprehensible.

And I’m feeling very pessimistic about Oliver’s escape attempt. The next chapter could begin with him injuring himself...though I’ve made and arguement why that isn’t logical in the shower scene comment...or it might begin with him landing in some bitch’s hand...that’d suck.  Or he’ll scurry around the chamber floor until he’s spotted, making his efforts useless.  Or, maybe he gets found by, I dunno...Harmony.  Who knows she’ll never get her shot otherwise.  But, yeah, Harmony, who gave a hint of living on the same planet as a human being with her “aren’t they still people?" comment, but a little peer pressure from Sersi and...what does this make?  Her second...third victim?  Yeah, that's a conversation for the ages...you were delicious...now how can I help?  Ha.
Unless she didn't partake.  That would mean she’s not under the influence of the “swoon” thus able to act...but can you imagine one of these things, raised as they were. Not liking the idea of their values being “washed away.”  When they could simply join the vampiric cow brigader?  One of these critters?  I guess it could happen...if you're more of a romantic than me.  And what is a giant, naked girl with no stolen energy going to do?  Hide him in her.....mouth?  Oh, gawd!  That is an image!  “How did you like the ceremony?”  Nods.  “Was I right?”  Nods. hahaha.
In spite of how much things are likely going to suck for Oliver, I do smile at the idea of the harpies becoming aware, seeing no Oliver and blaming Cerys.  They’d think she had an impulse control problem and ate him...ha...of course, she won't have to face any real consequences....but if she did...that'd be sweet.

One problem is, luck has been nowhere near on his side.  Sersi (check this out, I’m giving her the benefit of the doubt and NOT chalking it up to her just being a lying, treacherous slime) got lucky when Cam wasn’t paying attention or, settled for partial information, when she was telling him how to get the most desired pussy on campus.  Though that is kind of hard to imagine.  Considering their sibling rivalry (which Sersi takes way too seriously) she’s lucky he even listened to her, but he did, so he could pass on faulty info to Oliver.  Thus making Oliver think he had answers he didn’t have.  She got lucky with the movie quote.   They’ve all been incredibly lucky that Oliver didn’t tip to hints like Vesper knowing his so called mother.  Let’s hope they’ve used up all their luck for this story.  Because Oliver is in the belly of the bitch.  Figuratively.

I'm kind of new to SM fiction, and Oliver's big problem is that he's in an SM story.  The genre is NOT kind to it's protagonists.  SMs never get justice...they get survival...they, maybe, get someone to fight their battles for them.  All their victories are small victories.  Can someone name me a story where you stuck with some poor shrunken guy through some horrible crap and at the end he got even close to balancing the scales?  Where the character’s reward/revenge was worth the hell of act 2?  It’s almost like Oliver is too good a guy for this genre.
And the GTSs always get the equivalent to a slap on wrist.  I’m very unlikely to get to see Sersi get her fingers and nose eaten off by demon weasels.
And Oliver has no real chance of getting justice...this thing is too big.  The ‘Mega Cunts have all the power, they’re entrenched.  At this point all he can hope for is...well...he gets away.   He’ll have to have someone take care of him....that’ll sit well with a Wyoming boy.   I’d consider getting depressed and stop reading right now.....as if I could.  But who could?  In spite of how bad it looks, still gotta stick with Oliver. He’s the kind of character you just have faith in.

Duggernaut is giving us a horror story of epic proportions (yes, I went there.)  It’s so compelling and dark that you can’t turn away.  I know I ain’t gonna.

    Peace.

Author's Response:

Hey PixL8Ed great review and you raise some very cogent arguments. Yes there most certainly does seem to be a very black widow vibe. Your allusion to preying on others is also astute. Do they feed on selected sons to minimize exposure or the risk of discovery? Maybe. I have tried to portray Oliver not as a bumpkin but more of a gentleman complicated by hormones. He is no fool though he has certainly been played for one by Sersei.

Let me pose a question about harvesting girls. What happens if a sister violates the oath? Disagrees with the ruling council? Participating in the rite may not always be so black and white. Your assertion that the genre isn't kind to the size altered is correct. Perseverance in the face of the absurd is a favorite of mine but a theme running through is usually a role reversal of power.

This story is still unfolding and there are horrors, delights,  and surprise aplenty yet to be revealed!

I just love the fact people are taking the time to get into the story and play along!

Obviously, Oliver can run but he's not getting out of the basement. Even if he somehow escaped the basement and eventually the house, what then? I'm looking forward to Vesper plucking him from the floor and holding him in the palm of her hand.  She explaining to him his new reality and how he was never anything but a tool to her. That his entire existence was for this purpose only.  Maybe she will present him with the now life sized wax replica of himself (remember the ones Oliver discovered in her office that were named after the other Omega victims). These replicas may only serve to commemorate the men that they have taken and destroyed,  their lifeless bodies having been flushed down an Omega toilet…

You're welcome. :-)

As for my "climbing on the bandwagon?" The very nature of this website made it a foregone conclusion that Oliver's shrinkage wasn't preventable! That still doesn't make what the Omega Pis are doing any the less illegal. Sexually arousing? For sure. But, still illegal. Ergo; no! I have no sympathy for whatever rationalization they've been using to justify their activities for over a hundred years.

Author's Response:

I was being facetious particularly in light of how the girls seem to be amoral and without concern for the lives they're destroying. You've been a staunch ally against moral turpitude across a breadth of.my stories. :)

I agree wholeheartedly the nature of the site does foreshadow the fate of certain characters.

When Oliver thought Sersei was going to mount him in front of everyone, I laughed so hard! Lol, "he is prepared". Ah, I love it.

So the drink is just so they can lead him to the basement. Once he is there, the spell holds him from there.

See, the problem with Oliver's plan was that it was HIS big night. If he was a spectator like the previous 2 times, then it would actually work.

I'm actually wondering what would happen if Oliver's plan did work. I mean this process has been going on for years and I bet Oliver would confuse the ladies and I think it would have been pretty entertaining to see Oliver fool them.

So he is free to move after he shrinks. Do the girls see him, or are they closing their eyes for the ritual? Imagine if Oliver manages to escape.

Well, I can't wait for the next chapter!

Well stated Pix... The Omegas are truly deplorable.  They have complete disregard for the dignity human life.  If we work from the information we have so far, we know that they are both a national and international sorority.  Larger sororities have a hundred chapters or more.  The sorority began in 1888 and our local chapter takes four men per semester.  If we work with these assumptions and we do the math, that translates to upwards of 100,000 men or more that they have taken, destroyed their lives and eventually disposed.  For the Omegas, men are cattle and nothing more.

Author's Response:

I think the prologue captures the essence of Omega Pi

"The Omega Pi oath is a sacred trust, a solemn promise that shall never be broken, shall never be compromised and shall endure long after each one of us as individuals have passed through the hallowed halls of academia. It is a lifelong pledge from one sister to another to uphold the values, virtues, and integrity of Omega Pi’s ideals and unwavering pursuits.

As a sisterhood, Omega Pi is greater than any single one of us. In the end we believe it is the little things that make all the difference."

In all seriousness, the numbers become scary...
