I feel like this whole story is a metaphor for...something? But I might just be too dumb to understand what, exactly. Abuse? Bullying? Social hierarchy? I dunno, the whole thing feels dreamlike in that some things make sense, while others don't.
It's a strange story, and I'm pretty sure I don't understand what it was going for, but it's well-written and I liked it anyways lol. Good work!

Glad you liked it! I hadn't embedded anything deep or significant in it: just a bunch of mean girls abusing a little man with their bodies for a bus ride. It's interesting that it gives the impression of a second layer of meaning, though. Thanks for your kind words!

As for Ginny, I rewrote the beginning of the story and shaped it up to sell as a book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086BD6VFP/ It's not available on Smashwords, and there's an option to order it in paperback, as an experiment.

I like how this has very quickly become more about the social dynamics between the girls and who gets to define what's funny or cool or fair. Aside from the corpulent descriptions of his tormentors, the tiny man's perspective has all but been forgotten.
It's almost as if these girls have done something like this before.

You're right, in rereading the last few chapters... it has become much less about his experience. Rachael had an intimate exchange with him, even with his hapless nonverbals, but the other girls have no such concerns. It's all about their amusement, and... yes, they do seem awfully glib about it.
