Nice start. I can see how it would work as a comic book. If I could make one suggestion, since you intend on making a comic out of it; you may consider putting some description in such as (the boy pulls out a small jar from his satchel) so we can get a feel of the artwork, if that makes sense.
They should put the cut section of tubing back so no one notices and she can come back for more. That's if it's your story plot of course.
There's a comic about a prison with normal sized female gaurds and shrunken male prisoners, "The Big House" by Dreamtales. It's not the same concept as your story as there are a few shrunken prisoner stories out there. I myself have one involving POWs in a future war.

I forgot about the tubing, in a society that technologically advanced, it might have a GPS on it that could be tracked, so they would definitely leave it behind. Thanks for reading and commenting!
