Still don't get what drives her to kill her attendants at the end of their tenure is perplexing. She's doesn't seem to be that kind of person when she talks to Emil and stuff. So many mysteries....I hope you will answer them.

She really is wonderful, if it was not for the whole murdering you thing at the end of your tenure she'd be down right delightfully whimsical.
Author's Response:
There's always a catch huh?

Have I commented on this story yet?
It's really good. I've always been a fan of the GTS fantasy stories here. I honestly have to admit though, that on paper, it does nothing particularly different so far, but it's held off on enough plot details to keep me interested. Personally, I wish the chapters were longer, but that's selfish of me. And also, I thought the general tone of the story would be a little less kind to the main character and eventually add more character development for Alexandra, but this tone works too. Good read so far, looking forward to more.
Author's Response:
Glad you're enjoying it. I never really set out to do anything out there or unique, but don't worry. Alex gets more characterization as it goes along. In a way the story is the Protagonist coming to understand her. As for chapter length, well that's just how I am haha. I prefer brevity over text dumps. Though even these chapters are 3 - 7 pages each.

You know, there was a time medieval women considered it extraordinarily honorable for men to be just as pre-martially celibate as them. Alexandra seems to be very...progressive...when it comes to the prowess of her Attendants.
Author's Response:
Hey, when you've lived for a few hundred years you just wanna cut to the chase.

I didn't expect Alexandra to be so open with him, it feels like a husband-wife relationship only one side is way more dominant than the other. I hope to see more, this is a wonderful story!

Now we're getting to the fun stuff! Can't wait to see what other kinds of fun Alexandra has with Emil. Keep up the great work!

My interest has certainly been piqued by this story. I'm excited to where it goes and finding out more about the mysterious Alexandra.

Not really much of a surprise. I mean, if Emil's lack of expectation had really been fulfilled, this story would've been a three-chapter wonder! ;-)

Hmm. Liking Alexandra considerably less now. Rather unnecessary tradition. I guess that's why everyone treated the Attendant as a pariah.
Author's Response:
It's going somewhere don't worry ^^

Kinda pointless of her to kill her past attendants like that, why not just let them go? I guess she needs to show her power or something? Anyways, pretty good chapter regardless, and yeah, if this is the fate of the attendants, Emil is right, he was just given a death sentence...
Author's Response:
Take my word for it. There's more to her reasoning than just that. You'll see eventually

I love this story so far! Fantasy settings are the best. This is a good set-up that you have here. I like that Alexandra is clearly in charge but for the most part seems to be friendly to the town she defends. Looking forward to seeing what life for her new attendant will be like.

So, associating with a lame-duck Attendant is no guarantee of succession, as a rule?
Heh! Something tells me Emil is going to be the exception.

Interested in seeing where this goes.
