I like the language you’re using in chapter one so far, it seems authentic and really brings me into the story!

Why not write it on a word document or something like that then copy and paste it over?

Author's Response: My home computer isn't dot-doc compatible.

Just like your style of writing, it really feels like the genre you're covering, something which a lot of people( myself included) would struggle to do on this site. The only criticism I have is that you should write longer chapters.

Author's Response: Thank you, very much. :-) As to longer chapters? I count it a minor miracle when I can do over a thousand words without this website auto-timing out. Forcing me--more often than not--to retype and repost the entire chapter as two separate ones!

As always, a veritable wealth of information and dedicated research, merci!

Author's Response: De nada, senor! :-)

I think one the most appealing aspects of your writing is the attention to detail. Creating anticipation is a subtle form lost on some with a need for instant gratification. I myself am in no particular need of a rampage and shall continue to enjoy! (Love the mythological tie in)

Author's Response: Thanks, dude. :-) This story is primarily meant to bridge the gap between M.A.C.H.O. TALES and my KNIGHTS OF MELION stories (which were originally meant as a salute to "steampunk horror/sci-fi"). Heck! Even Gustave Liebenkraft was meant to be a composite homage to both August Hildreth and HPL.

I think I may have to give this site away. Work's just not alllowing me much time these days even to read, let alone write.... and just as the stark naked giantess comes in too.

Author's Response: Well, hopefully, you can stick around long enough (even if only as a lurker) to read the rest of the repost.

OOOPS! Almost forgot. "Operation: Barbarossa" was the German code-name for the Nazis' double-crossing invasion of the Soviet Union. Their unsuccessful siege of Stalingrad leading to the unconditional surrender of Field Marshal Paulus (and all German forces under him) on February 2, 1943.

Hey Carycomic,

Checked out your stuff, digging it. When I read Jotunheim, made me laugh, next installment in The Book starts there :P

Author's Response: Well, then, you'll probably get a small kick out of chapter 3. ;-)

This came up in my alerts as a new story, but the title seems familiar. Have I forgotten one of your recent promo explanations? I'm not as with it as  I used to be. LOL

Author's Response: It's the one I accidentally erased while trying to get rid of only one chapter.

and you'll probably think of another chapter soon. I do with some stories and still haven't had time to write them out.

And after that... 50 Shades of Giantess. Sorry, this time when it comes to clever comments, interesting observations or good puns, this time I've got nothing.

Author's Response: Well, you can't win them, all. ;-) Besides which, the title of the other Western pastiche was supposed to have a moral double-meaning. But, perhaps, I was being too subtle in its usage.

Well my pastor says that Werewolves and Vampires are purely demonic.

One final note: thanks to Bill Gunston's AMERICAN WARPLANES (Crescent Books, 1986) for all the retro-tech information on the military aircraft described in the earlier chapters of the story.

Nice Halloween tale!  Holy water in the hot water bottle, and the wheat powder in the shot shells,... great set-up on that.  Labia -foot tall with fangs- 'wicked!'

....Heraclitoris?  lol!  ;`)

Author's Response: What can I say? I was partially inspired by the old Dracula flicks from Hammer Films. Peter Cushing (God bless him) was the most swashbuckling Van Helsing this side of Hugh Jackman!
