Great chapter. I wonder what Nacy has in store for Scott. Will he be safe during his time with Nancy or will her wilder side break free and force him into certain situations. I cannot wait to see where you take this story. Will there be a raunchy part or will this stick with a foot and mouth theme. There are tons of possibilities here. As for grammar and spelling there was on sentence that bothers me. The sentance stated "Honesty at this point couldn’t hurt him more than it already had." Shouldn't the sentance read instead Honesty at this point it couldn’t hurt him more than it already had. I donnot know how you wanted this structure to be, but to me the later sentance reads better. This was the only thing troubling me in this chapter. Besides this I lioved it. I cannot wait for the next chapter. Keep up the great work. You really have a talent.
Author's Response:
Glad you're paying attention. Your suggestion would be right if the word was "honestly" as an adverb, but it's actually "honesty." So if restructured it could say "At this point, honesty couldn't hurt him more than it already had."

Dont know how I didn't see this chapter so Here is a revie albeit a bit late. This screams of foreshadowing like there will be implications on Scott with the word pernamantely. I feel he will forever be shrunken if his mom wins.I also see Maggie is still herself and will meeting the Emily Brookes change her and if so in what way. This is a great chapter. As for grammar and spelling I could find no mistakes and maybe I would describe what Scott felt when he saw Emily. But a great chapter non the less. Keep up the great work. Now to read the next chapter.
Author's Response:
There's definitely a lot at stake for Scott now. It's hard for Scott to know what to feel about Emily since he's never met her other than general foreboding, since her company has its fingers in most of the economy now as well as the whole shrinking device business. Thanks for reviewing!

Good I agree with riczar's view about Maggie. But I find normal tht Nancy takes adventage of Scott's current state of mind. After all she is psychopath!!!!
Author's Response:
Nancy is definitely the kind of predator to take advantage of a situation.

I think for Maggie, its fun only when its temporary. I think at the end of the day she wants her BIG brother back. Kyle probably understands the implications and the "slippery slope" that I indicated in my last comment. Today in the USA, just about everyone breaks a law at least once a day and never knows it, because the law has become so complicated. A bit disappointed that there were no explanations in this chapter, and no Ella yet. I can't believe Nancy went ahead with the sexual play despite the condition Scott is in.
Still anxious to see what life will look like for a non-incarcerated shrinkee. Meaning once its determined that Scott has served his time, but remains shrunk, will his treatment remain the same (i.e. slave/pet status)? What kind of rights will he have? What kind of life does he have to look forward to? If Ella wanted to make up with him, could they marry, have kids, could he get a job? Would Judy even allow him out of her "protection"?
Author's Response:
Thanks for reviewing. There will be more about Judy's plans in the final couple of chapters, and Ella will be appearing a few posts from now. One thing to keep in mind is that although Judy is making a definitive statement of her vision of the justice system, it's by no means being put in place yet - she still has obstacles to bypass. In theory, the permanently shrunken people would still retain their rights, albeit with their safety at the discretion of their guardian. Scott could also, in theory, marry and have kids, but Judy is clearly not one to let what's hers go very easily.

"A different set of goals"... to make sure that Kyle or Maggie doesn't join him? To get N hours/week with Ella? To make sure that Ella will not shrink(no,no,no!)? Or is he going to really try and be more sincere in the discussion you were talking about?
Don't tell us of course! ;p
(I'd write that this chapter was really scary, but I guess that having to deal with the revelation will probably be worse)
Author's Response:
Hehe. There will be answers to your questions soon enough. I will say though that Judy doesn't have the authority to shrink Ella, just her own kids, but there's still plenty that Scott's mother can hold over his head.

So this is your Christmas present for Scott? When he grows up he'll certainly pay you a visit - unless Judy's plan is to replace "When" with "If" of course...
Author's Response:
I'd say you're on track for Judy's plans. Scott's future Christmases may be looking bleaker.

Great chapter I'm excited to see where Judy's political career will take her. Hopefully the she wins her race and the shrink act becomes the law of the land.
Author's Response:
Thanks for reading. I'm sure Judy's hopes are similar to yours.

Jacksmith! Your stories one of the best on this site! I love Judy and Susan (Time-out 2)
And I fell in love Carly (Little Blackmail)
Author's Response: Thanks!

A major chapter ! Now i can't wait to see what reaction scott will have to his mom knowing he will not go back his original height. A logical man in his situation will act as if he has nothing to lose (which is pretty the case). And he will go wild by bashing n insulting her sadisc mom, refusing his home chores because he wont care about shrinking. However, with the future meeting with Ella, he would act differently. I wonder if it's the time where Maggie re-ajuste her attitude.
Author's Response: Fair predictions. All I'll say is that by the time Scott gets the chance to face his mother about what she's trying to do, he may have a different set of goals...

The masses clamor for a conclusion to Julia =)
Author's Response: Apparently!
Date: January 02 2015 9:27 AM Title: Chapter 1: MVP
Even though I'm more of a gentle person, I love the way you create your characters as individuals with compelling personalities instead of just another tiny to be squashed/eaten/used as a dildo et cetera.
And sorry for asking, but will you continue Julia when this story is over? That cliffhanger was GoT-esque :)
Author's Response: Thanks for reading, and I appreciate your comment about my characters. I honestly do plan to work a bit with Julia soon-ish, though there are other stories that will probably end up coming first.

Judy is either lying to the press, or to her son, Scott.
Of course, if she lies to the press, then she is in trouble, but lying to Scott, she can probably take the consequences, if any.
That is a good point on what to do with all these prisons being filled up. Just shrink them.
I wonder if there will be any people commiting crimes on purpose just so they can shrink and enjoy the feeling of being tiny.
This story is getting deep. I like it. I cant wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing. There probably won't be people committing crimes just to be arrested though; people can be shrunken if they want without breaking the law.

The beginings of the oppresion, like watching the first days of a tyranical dictator or Nickelback.
Looking forward to how it turns out.
Author's Response: Not sure I would've thought to make that particular comparison, but I can dig it!
Date: January 01 2015 3:58 PM Title: Chapter 26: The Party
A chilling chapter indeed, but is it safe to predict that Judy's proposal won't come to light as your stories further down the timeline display more cases of temporary shrinking? Either way, the suspense is at a high, and I eagerly await what's next. Nancy having her fill, and hopefully some more intimate interactions with the new Maggie.
Author's Response:
That's a good point to bring up, since Watch Over is chronologically after the Timeout stories. Here though Judy is proposing the required reduction of all criminals. Those who want to be shrunken of their own free will can still do so, meaning it's not necessarily giving anything away. Both Nancy and Maggie will get some more face time with Scott before the story ends.
Date: January 01 2015 1:00 PM Title: Chapter 26: The Party
Wow. So she lied to him from the beginning. She never had any intentions of having his size returned. So now Scott is beyond shocked. He probably feels like Judy just ripped out his heart. Cannot wait to see how she explains this to him in private. I also kinda want him to make a scene so she has reason to shrink him.
But seriously everything else is just gravy. It also would work into her favor if he would act out while on the podium because that way she can demonstrate how easy it will be to control a tiny inmate. Things are looking very bad for Scott but great for us hehe.
Also hope that Judy finds out about Maggie and Scott's deal so he can meet Ella.(just because I want to see how she'll handle the situation)
Plus Nancy wants her alone time with Scott.
Hope this series continues after this story because I love the direction it's headed and the characters.
Awesome story.
aaron
Author's Response:
That's probably an accurate guess of how Scott's feeling now. They will be having a little mother-son chat in the final chapters, which almost assuredly will involve Scott being reduced in size. Thanks for reading/reviewing! The series will certainly be continuing.
Date: January 01 2015 10:00 AM Title: Chapter 26: The Party
Does that mean that Judy will keep scott like this forever? If thats the case, will that happen to Kyle in part 7 too?
Author's Response:
It means she wants to keep him like this, though she still doesn't technically have the power to do so. Not yet, anyway.
Date: January 01 2015 9:16 AM Title: Chapter 26: The Party
Wow. The hammer falls. I wonder what standards she'll propose using for this new underclass of shrinkees? Who shrinks and who stays big? What rights, if any would an unincarcerated shrinkee have? Will they be virtual slaves like Scott? Its a slippery slope that any citizen could fall under. If this the future Judy wants for her son, who's crime was really the result of poor judgement then criminal intent? I wonder if Judy knows how much of a mind fuck she's putting on Scott? I have yet to see an honest discussion between mother and son, where Scott can vent how really feels to Judy without fear of reprisal. Still reading. I guess the reason I can stick with this story, is because its not overally mean and violent, just suspenseful.
Author's Response:
Hehe. I'll stay silent on the specifics of Judy's proposal until a later until time, but she (and Techilogic) are thinking ambitiously about it. The final chapters will include a conversation between Judy and Scott about all of this. Thanks for reading!
Date: December 27 2014 9:23 PM Title: Chapter 25: Family Politics
Great chapter, no mistakes yet again. I'm just wondering if Scott is holding his emotions back and if he is when the will blow. Also I cannot wait to see what happens if he blows or if Judy finds out he used the phone. I caanot wait for the next chapter, keep up the great work. You are an awesome writer.
Author's Response:
For now, Scott's just trying to keep it together so he can see Ella later in the day, but he also is made incredibly uneasy by his mother's current attitude. Thanks for reading!
Date: December 27 2014 7:30 PM Title: Chapter 25: Family Politics
Another great chapter, looking forward to Nancy getting her fun with Scott and for to see what's in store for Scott at the museum.
Also, i really hope Judy's motherly affection to Scott isn't all an act. I like thinking that while she likes having fun with Scott at this size, she does still care for his well being.
Helps differentiate her from Maggie.
Anyway, looking forward to the next chapter, the museum sounds like it's going to be fun.
Author's Response:
It's fair to say that Judy doesn't want Scott physically harmed, though of course that doesn't mean she can't also strategically place affection to get what she wants at the same time.
Judy certainly is very different from Maggie in some key ways; hopefully by the end of this story, those will be even clearer. Thanks for reading/reviewing!
Date: December 27 2014 7:28 PM Title: Chapter 25: Family Politics
Judy is acting very strangly recently. I wonder why.
Too many mysterious things in this chapter to draw conclusions. Only time will tell now.
Although, it was a very interesting chapter. Just kinda hard to wrap my head around everything.
I cant wait for the next chapter.
Author's Response:
Hehe. This chapter definitely is meant to add a little mystery, particularly where Judy's concerned. Thanks for reading!
