What a great end. Ang how will both Judy and Scott behave after learning about his dad? I also feel the fight between Scot and Judy is not over yet. And to reply to your previous comment I thought Scott would blow up at Maggie for feeling that she was blackmailing him and using his phone privilages to get her way. I thought He might be Mad at that. As for critiquing the writing there is one that does not make sense to me. The first is where Judy is explaining to Scott about living a normal life and part of it is "You can leave the house with us..." and goes on about eating normal and stuff. I believe that "You can live in the house with us..." is better than "You can leave the house with us." The way you use leave means if something is changing. For instance if you re-wrote the chapter but you wanted to leave a previous chapter in. I believe that you used the verb wrong and that it should be changed. Spelling wise I found no mistakes. This was a great chapter and a great ending to a great story. I hope that the next story in the series is already in your head. There are so many ways to look take this story, especially with his dad being found and arrested. Will Judy be in charge of his dad now too? If so will this take away some of the "tprture: Scott will endure or will Judy take the frustration out on Scott for his dad appearing out of nowhere? These are just a few Ideas I can think of with these two. I cannot even imagine what Maggie will do or say when she finds out about her dad; that is if she even remembers him. I cannot wait for the next installment. Keep up the great work.

Author's Response: Ah, I see what you meant; Scott still isn't happy about Maggie's blackmail, though compared to some of the newer problems he has to deal with now, that is less at the front of his mind. Glad you're paying attention to spelling; however, in this case, "leave" is the right word, because she's talking about him being allowed to go out to restaurants or even on vacations sometimes with the family, once the court decides to alter the conditions of his arrest. Thanks for reviewing!

So basicly, Scott eats what they give him  ?

PS: Is your new upcoming PRMD story a sequel to Shrink act files ?

Author's Response:

Basically yes, whatever they give him.

It is not a sequel to Shrink Act Files, though it takes place around the same time.

Didn't see that revelation coming,  always wondered where Scott's dad was.

Another great story in the Time-Out saga. I look forward to part 7. Maybe with one of Scott's siblings getting a shrink punishment too?

Speaking of, i look forward to see how Scott's and Maggie's relationship improves, that seriously is my favorite development so far, especially since Scott's relationship with his brother has soured.

Author's Response:

Thanks! I won't spoil names, but I will say various other people besides Scott will be shrinking too in part 7.

Scott and Maggie still have a ways to go, but it can certainly only improve after some of what happened in this story.

Bravo my good man, you've taken her from slightly overbearing to down right dark overlord.

Also I'm happy to read whatever comes next but quietly hoping for the finish of Julia or Blackmail 5 lol

Author's Response:

Thanks very much. Judy's definitely got a new image going for her after this story.

And actually, there will be some Julia coming in the not-too-distant future.

I agree with smok.  I bet the dad was set up to keep him quiet about any dirt on Judy.  We've never been given any info about the dad, but I wouldn't be surprised that HE left HER, because she was to overbearing and controlling.  If things play out the way I'm guessing and based in part on what happened to that lousy husband in the side story, despite the divorce;  Mr. Stevens will be given a VERY speedy trial, shrunk and put into Judy's custody.  This might give the author opportunities to allow Judy to do things with the dad that she can never do with Scott.

Jacksmith, you have a way of giving the reader just enough to keep reading, but not as much as we'd like.  I was hoping for some kind of resolution in Judy and Scott's conversation, but it stopped short of any kind of conclusion.  The takeaway.  All the options that Judy gave Scott were terrible in some way.  Play the part of the perfect mascot and get his freedom more quickly at the expense of his soul.  Keep fighting and face a shrunken lifetime under Judy's control.  But I wouldn't trust the first option.  There's no gurantee that she'll keep her word, since she wants to keep Scott under her control.  Looking forward to the next part!

Author's Response:

Hehe. All fair theories about Scott's dad, though of course I can't concretely confirm/deny any right now.

I realize the ending might've left people wanting. Ultimately, though, this is a single episode in an ongoing series, and the conflict bleeds heavily between them. There's still a long way for Scott to go before he can truly resolve things with anyone (or not); for now, he just has a lot to think about. The takeaway, then, is that Judy is dedicated to her rise in power and Scott now has to choose who to sacrifice, himself or everyone else. I've appreciated the thought you've put into your commentary for this story.

GREAT END ! I agree with jimbob about Judy's hanging threat to let Nancy abuse of scott is very sick n twisted. i bet that his dad is framed by techlogic too Looking foward the part 7 n yours new stories!

Ps: I missed the part where judy ban scott from eating normal meats! Can you tell what scott eat then? Table scraps? Which part of TO this ban is implanted?

Author's Response:

Thanks man; I've appreciated all your feedback on this story.

Judy never actually "banned" Scott from eating normal meals, and he sometimes does, like with the pancakes in an early chapter. Most of the time he doesn't get to eat at the table though or have the same food as them.

If Maggie told Judy about Nancy raping Scott, and Judy isn't going to do anything about it, that's going to really undermine her daughter's trust. All of what Maggie has been doing to Scott was mostly from the belief that he needed to be punished for his crime. Watching her mother give a friend a free pass on what is widely considered to be one of the worst crimes is going to make her realize that her mother doesn't really care at all about the justice system and is just using it AND her son as tools for her political career. What's going to happen when Kyle finds out? Or Ella? Or when it gets out to the public that her campaign manager raped her son and she knew and didn't report it? Because I don't think Maggie, Kyle, or Ella will stay quiet forever about it. I really hope this is what comes back to bite her in the ass.

Author's Response:

That's a good thought about Maggie - her views of her mother, as well as Scott, may be in a different place in the next story as a result, and force her to confront some of her mother's drivel about justice. I won't spoil, but I will say there will certainly be ramifications of Nancy's actions felt later on.

Do u plan to wait a while before posting TO 7 once you post the final of this?

Author's Response:

It's hard to say, though there will probably be at least somewhat of a gap in time, since I have several other new stories I'm looking to post soon.

I'm thinking Maggie told Judy about Nancy raping Scott. At least that's my theory.
Now Judy doesn't have to rely on any false pretenses. I like how she still cares for him and wants what's best for him, so she's his mother first and foremost.
When/if she shrinks him to her preferred size of an inch, I can't wait to see how he reacts to it or how she justifies it(or if she needs to).
I like how the words "power play" came up.

aaron
PS if it's even possible I like Judy even more now.
PPS will Judy and co be in the next installment of Time-Out? If so I'd like to see Maggie get on Judy's bad side too but just to ground her for a couple days.

Anyways, fantastic story. If you can't tell I'm a huge fan and will continue to be so.

Author's Response:

Maggie did, indeed, tell Judy about Nancy Everything is basically out in the open now for Judy, or at least as much as she's willing to put it for Scott. You will probably see Scott reach his mother's preferred height for him in the next chapter.
I love doing little jokes like that with the title.

There will be lots of returning faces in Time-out 7, including Judy, of course. Not going to spoil anything, but you may or may not be onto something with Maggie there...

Indeed NOBODY can't from Judy from doing  her mission lol , Wonder what happens if scott start to call judy by firstname or surname!

Author's Response:

Judy would definitely have a problem with Scott addressing her like that. She already spends enough time insisting he call her Mommy.

Hey,  now that Maggie and Scott are on friendlier terms,  any chance Scott will now consider sleeping in her room? It must be better than sleeping in the living room.

Seriously though, even if she's not a complete angel yet, i do like forward to her and Scott being nicer to each other.

Author's Response:

That may well be what happens eventually, especially if Judy keeps up like she has been. Right now, though, Scott and Maggie still have some things to work out between them.

I think Scott needs Allies rather tools. Funny some people find  hard to believe that Judy is all but a mother! See how cool and emotionaless Judy reacted about Scott's rape. And Maggie as caring sister is not planned (i think). but from now she will be a bit more 'normal' one.

Author's Response:

You're right that Scott needs allies now. Luckily for him, he's on his way to having a few after this story, though that still may not be enough to stop his mother. Your prediction about Maggie is a good one - she's not going to magically turn into a sweet angel, but her relationship with Scott is definitely changed after what Nancy did to him.

Ohh I smell a tipping point. I wonder if Judy will take it farther in the next story. What about Maggie I'm sure Scott is waiting to blow-up at her and if he does he may regreat it. I also think there are some ideas brooding in her head. There are so many possiblilities that it is hard to imagine them all. All I can say is that I hope we haven't seen the last of Nancy. As for criticing the writing I only have positive things to say. This was a great story all around and I cannot wait for the last chapter. I hope this series is going to be continued since I love the characters (Maggie, Judy and Nancy). Keep up the great work.

Author's Response:

Judy definitely only plans to escalate things from now on. I'm not sure what Scott would have to blow up at Maggie for, though. She does have a lot to think about. Nancy may appear in the next story, though in a much smaller role (that's not a pun, I promise). The series will definitely continue; thanks for reading!
